Chapter 2

“You must be Cassie” one of the men said.

Cassie on the other hand was in a trance her hormones had created. What were these lustful things her mind was telling her about these men? What made it all more guilt worthy was the fact that these thoughts were of both of them, not one, but both of them, all at once.

“Yes, that’s definitely me” Cassie says quickly, hoping they didn’t just catch her lusting after them or maybe she was even drooling.

“Nice to meet you, I’m Aaron” the taller one says. He looked like the people’s person, the one who makes friends easily. He had something goofy going on for him and it was attractive. His black hair laid perfectly on his head, partly covering part of his forehead. The longer Cassie stared, the more she felt an invitation to raking her fingers through it. He gives her smile, a very warm and cute smile that has her smiling in return

“Nice to meet you Aaron” she replied, stretching her hand to take his in a warm friendly handshake. Their hands colliding send waves of electricity into places Cassie would rather not think about or even dare wonder off to, not right now at least. His hands were a bit cold, yet they made her feel so warm and fiery inside. She hated the feeling of letting go of his palms, she wanted them to hold hers a little longer, they were the perfect remedy for this winter feeling and that wasn’t in an innocent way.

“This is my step brother Alex” he declares, gesturing to the man by his side who has a cold stern look in his eyes. It was frightening, yet so inviting for Cassie.

“Hi” Cassie said, extending her hand for a shake. He looks at it for a second before turning to Aaron, like he was seeking permission to shake her. Cassie is fixated on his facial features to even notice Aaron granting the permission Alex was seeking with a light nod

“It’s nice to meet you Cassie” Alex replies, shaking her hands delicately, but without smiling

Unlike Aaron, Alex’s palms were cold, yet so comfortable to hold in the moment, as their hands stayed glued together, Cassie takes another glance at him, he looked like the serious one, almost scary, but something about his aura was interesting she thought to herself. She liked it, he intrigued her and she was drawn to that.

For Cassie, Aaron and Alex were like two sides of the same coin and looking at them right now, there was no choosing between heads and tails. She wanted both. This was indeed going to be a lot to digest and live with till the new year was over.

“Why are you three still at the door? Dinner is getting cold and were starving!” Mr. Adam yells from the dinning

“Shall we?” Aaron asks, gesturing inside the house

“Please, it’s your house too” Cassie says, moving aside for both men to enter.

Cassie closes the door after Aaron and Alex and watches them enter the house, and head to the dining. She leans on the wall, letting all the tension melt away as she takes a deep breath.

What was she doing? For fuck sake! What was she doing? She had just had sex three days ago, what were these thoughts going through her head about Aaron and Alex like she was sex starved? She had to put herself together, get her shit tidied up and focus. These boys are about to be her step brother; she wouldn’t be the first having sexy ass step brothers. Plus, after the new year’s, she’ll hardly ever see them, so focus, she mumbles to herself.

“Alright Cas, you need to get it together” she reinforces to herself as she rubs her eyes with her fingers.

“Are you okay?” she hears Alex’s cold voice, making her stand up straight quickly. She gives him a quick nod.

“Yes, yes I am” she replies with a smile

“Are you sure?” Alex asks again, this time he is coming towards her, his face wearing the same expression as when she first saw him, and before she can answer, he is right next to her, his cold hand feeling the side of her neck

“Do you feel sick?” he asks, a look of concern shoots across his face as he stares at her. Before she can respond, she suddenly realizes that he now looks disinterested, there was just so many contradictions going on with him

Cassie stands there, confused and surprised. She wonders how his touch could be so gentle and how the feel of his cold palm on her face literarily made her feel hot

“I’m fine, really. Let’s go and eat” Cassie says quickly jerking off from his touch and heading to the dinning. After moving ahead of him, she reduces her pace, waiting for him to catch up

Dinner was going smooth and Cassie did everything in her power not to drool over the men that sat across her. Every now and then, she would feel their eyes on her, but she made sure not to lift her eyes to check. She was fighting with the fact that she had lost her appetite already and the fact she would be living with these two.

Her mind wandered back to when Alex touched her skin, she wanted to feel it again, feel his palms again. She most definitely liked it, loved every part of it, she only jerked away because if she had stayed any longer in that spot, Alex would have definitely noticed how much she was enjoying the feel of his touch.

The fact that Cassie’s thoughts were filled with not just Alex’s touch, but the thoughts of what Aaron’s touch would be like, was beyond her. How could she be so attracted to two men, at the same time! Who were brothers! And were her step brothers! Was this how far she had fallen? Was this how bad her hormones needed attention?

She imagined what Brandon would say about this, he would laugh so hard, she would punch him and then punch herself. Either way, she had to tell Brandon, because she was certain she was going crazy. But the real question still remained, “how was she supposed to survive all this till the new year?”

“Oh yes! That reminds me, the boys are relocating down here after the new year, isn’t that great?” Alexander announces between mouthfuls.

“What!?” Cassie’s exclamation gets everyone’s attention as she raised her head to look at her dad and Alex, then turns to look at Alex and Aaron, who for a weird reason, look really happy about it. It almost feels like they like the fact she had been shocked with the news

“Yes Cas, they just opened up a branch of their company in town and also bought a few other real estate companies here too, so they’ll be staying here, it’s easier for them, right?” her dad explains, before turning to the boys, directing the question at them

“Yes Mr. Adam. We found a place already” Alex says, not taking his eyes off Cassie, like he was watching her every muscle as they moved and formed expressions

“Already? I didn’t know that. Where is it?” Alexander asks

“just on your way out of town, Alex likes to drive, so we got a place that would let him do that and its lonely, that was my favorite part, so it was the perfect fit” Aaron tells everyone with a smile across his face as he plays with the food in front of him.

Cassie doesn’t take her eyes off the two men, she just stays glued, staring at them, but this time not in a lustful manner, at least not completely. She just can’t fully wrap her head around the fact that they are moving into town, even though town is this very big place, with them around, it didn’t feel that big enough anymore.

“That’s amazing, Cassie is moving out after the new year too” Mr. Adam blurts out

“Oh, is she now?” Aaron asks in a rhetorical manner

“Yup, she can’t stop talking about it, she super excited, right darling?”

“Yes Daddy, I’m supper excited. Any one wants desert?” Cassie ends the conversation abruptly.

She gets up, picking the plates from the table while she let her eyes roam around the room following nothing in particular. Her dad and Alexander are making side comments. Whatever they are saying gets all muffled up in the sound of their laughter, as she slowly turns her eyes to face the boys who have their eyes locked on her already. Trying not to make a big deal out of it, she turns away walking briskly to the kitchen.
