Chapter Seventy-Three – Cold Feet

Lyra’s POV

I was acutely aware of his presence near me. His reaction to my arrival made me blush. Did he realize I came here only for him? No, I couldn’t admit that to him yet. It would boost his already inflated ego and I would look like a fool.

No, I would make excuses but never admit my true feelings to him.

Ever since I set foot in Lucania, I have been dying of curiosity. I wanted to storm into Leandros’s house and demand an explanation for everything. Yet when I reached his house, I couldn’t take a step forward and buzz his doorbell.

Therefore, giving up, I went to Lena’s school, hoping to meet all of them there. After spending the entire day there, Hazel offered me to stay in her old house and I dumped my luggage there. Since she was living with Stavros, her house was vacant and I could have my privacy.

Just as I had freshened up, Lena picked me up and drove over to her house for a get-together. So here I was, trying to enjoy myself with the rest of them. But my heart skipped
