Dominic awoke for the first time in months, to find his wife lying in his arms. She was still asleep and didn't seem like she was going to stir anytime soon. Dominic's gaze flickered to the digital clock on the night stand. The time was seven minutes past eight. Usually, the couple would have awoken and left for work. Dominic quietly stared at Adelynn, noticing the moles on her neck. He appreciated her natural beauty, hoping that they would stay in each other's arms for a little while longer. A sharp pain tore through his stomach and he winced. He had been getting these sharp pains in his stomach for a while. But, he'd ignored it at first. At this point, it was getting worse. So, he decided that he would have to see the doctor soon. Suddenly exhausted, he felt himself succumb to his drowsiness. Adelynn awoke thirty minutes later, she slowly turned to face her husband even with his arms still around her.
