5:00 AM at St. Thomas' Hospital.
Kenzie pursed her lips, looking down at the baby lying on her bare chest.
The little girl's pinkish lips yawned while caressing her cheek against her mother's skin. The baby faintly cried while searching for a comfortable spot in Kenzie's chest but quietly fell silent as soon her head rested closer to her mother's heart.
A tear fell on Kenzie's cheek seeing the beauty at rest, covered in a blanket over her chest. She gasped and said, "She looks so beautiful. I can't - I can't believe she came from me."
"I'm sure she'll be as beautiful as you." The suggestion came from Anabelle, sitting beside Kenzie.
"Well, I've never been able to look after a baby girl. I guess, there is a lot that I should learn," William suggested. He was standing at the foot of Kenzie's bed, also admiring his new grandchild. "Congratulations again to the both of you."
"Kenzie, darling. You should get some res
Thank you for reading! In case you are wondering, the novel will end this month. :)
"Kenzie, honey." "Kenzie, it's mom." "Honey, why are you sleeping on a bean bag? Come on, let me help you to the sofa bed at least." It took a while, but Kenzie eventually awoke, hearing that familiar voice that she loved. Her eyes fluttered open with difficulty and she yawned, calling out for Samantha, "Mom?" Her voice was weak, and it was cutting in and out as she said, "Why - why are you already here? I was supposed to fetch you from the airport?" It was because, Kenzie was frequently breastfeeding Kimberly that she fell asleep on a beanbag, next to her daughter's crib. A sofa bed was made available for Kenzie and the caregiver inside the nursery, but it was situated meters away from the crib. Kenzie wanted to stay closer to her daughter, and the beanbag was a lighter carry. Samantha sighed, caressing Kenzie's arm, and said, "Andrew said you were so tired, he did not want to wake you when he left to fetch us earl
Eleven months later. Life as parents were both tough and sweet, especially for the working couple like Andrew and Kenzie. However, they made it worked. With the support of Andrew's family, his mother especially, Kenzie had help in raising Kimberly in the past eleven months while she began her official career as a music producer. That day, Kenzie was out to support one of her artists. She was standing backstage in one of KNW's studios, filming her artists as she performed one of Kenzie's compositions. Everyone heard the announcer introduce, "Having sold more than one million copies of her recent album, let's welcome on stage, Courtney Star performing her famous single, "You Made Me Smile!" A recently famed British singer pointed to the cameras and began to sing the hit single. "Let's commit to the perfect crime I steal your heart and you steal mine Uhuh, those were the words that you said to me
"And you figured, not telling me was okay?" Andrew asked, hissing as he put his hands on his waist. "I'm not a whore and it did not affect me. Plus, I don't have enemies. You did say Alyssa was dealt with, right? And Grace? You still keep tabs on her and she has not done anything, right?" Kenzie explained. "And besides, I got really busy that I completely forgot about it." "The only time I go out without a bodyguard following me around is when I am inside the media company and when I am home." Kenzie pointed in no particular direction and said, "I'm always guarded." "The comfort room at the mall was an exception because I was in a rush and we were together, technically," she added. With a sigh, she said, "I'm not even sure if those words were meant for me." Andrew and Kenzie were back at their vast mansion, discussing her earlier encounter inside Andrew's study. The man was furious at his wife for not having mentioned the n
"Ladies and gentlemen, to our English guests and local Braetoneans, it is time to welcome the celebrant for today! The new princess of the Wrights and the only princess of the noble family of the Kentworthys," a hostess announced, calling everyone's attention. The sound of trumpets could evidently be heard as heralds stood in the aisle of The Second Diamond Hotel's grand ballroom, playing the instruments in their hands. They all gave way for the princess to arrive. The entire venue had a castle backdrop on the sides and all organizers, including Kenzie's and Andrew's side of the family, were dressed in medieval times. "Welcome, princess Kimberly!" The crowd roared as Kimberly's name was introduced and behind everyone, the vast doors to the venue opened in slow motion. Andrew and Kenzie, the proud parents were dressed like a king and queen, both standing elegantly by the door. Andrew looked high and mighty with a crown o
"I think, our daughter is the richest one-year-old, don't you think?" Kenzie asked, giggling at the end. She pecked her daughter's sleeping face and said, "What a lucky princess." "Rich indeed," Andrew confirmed while shaking his head at the room's interiors. Kenzie and Andrew were settled in the house, provided for by Ethan and Samantha as their gift. The master bedroom was in the shade of pink. The same could be seen with the sheets on the bed. A huge golden crown was painted above the bed's headboard, suggesting the master of the house was a princess. As Andrew climbed up the bed, he remarked, "To think, this is just her first birthday. I can only imagine what Kim will get on her eighteenth birthday." Kenzie chuckled and replied, "A kingdom perhaps. Haha. I don't know." She sighed and said, "Maybe this is just a phase." Looking earnestly at her husband, Kenzie suggested, "You know, she is the first granddaugh
Earlier that day, Ethan and Kyle were both looking cranky. Meeting with the potential Russian business partner was not their best objective. However, Mister Ivanov was a very well-connected man in Moscow. One could say, sealing a deal with him will expedite all potential expansion in Russia. Mister Nikita Ivanov was one of the biggest contractors in Moscow. He claimed nearly twenty percent of the city's biggest infrastructure, including the Bolshoi bridge and the West Sky Tower. If Ethan were to contract the construction of one Diamond Hotel in Moscow, going with Nikita Ivanov was a wise decision. However, Mister Ivanov was a known ladies' man. In fact, his background suggested that he had satyriasis, an addiction to sex. While Ethan believed making love is bliss, having a sex addiction was another story. Truth be told, Ethan was unsure why he pushed through with the meeting. He supposed, perhaps, he could push aside Mister Iva
"Are we - safe here?" Andrew asked, frowning at the view of varied strip clubs in Victory Square, Kiev. There were pimps and hustlers everywhere, trying to bag a deal. Some were on the streets while other girls were flashed through a huge lighted window, perfectly on display. "We brought enough men to protect us," Kyle replied. "And the local authorities are helping us determine their motives. We just need to find out who is behind this, for now, get into their network perhaps and hack in." It was because they all suspected that the organization planned to take Kenzie by force that Kyle and Andrew flew to Kiev, Ukraine, and command the investigation themselves. They brought ten of their men as aid, five of them coming from the military. The brothers-in-law were inside a van, monitoring the activities outside a significant massage spa service in the middle of the plaza. It was from their post that they meant to obs
"Hi Kenzie, I'm so happy to see you. Thank you for seeing me on such short notice," a female Russian singer, Anita Orlov, who wanted to make it big in the singing industry said, meeting Kenzie in the hopes of acquiring one of her songs. Kenzie smiled at Anita and replied, "I would not miss it for the world, Anita... Not ever." There was a hint of sarcasm from Kenzie's voice that Anita leaned back, bemused. Still, she forced a smile in Kenzie's way. Kenzie turned to her bodyguards and shifted her attention back to Anita before asking, "Do you mind if they too come inside?" It was because Anita Orlov requested to meet Kenzie in an exclusive restaurant, offering private rooms that she asked permission. "I have to be careful. There is a threat to my life after all," Kenzie revealed with a sigh. "So even if you disagree, I will be bringing in my bodyguards." "Oh," Anita winced before she reluctantly answered, "I guess that's oka
Hello, my lovely readers, Thank you once again for having supported me this far. Kenzie and Andrew's love story has finally concluded. I'd have to say, this was the most challenging novel for me to write, all because of how we were affected by Typhoon Odette. Still, I thank my creator for guiding me and providing for me and my family's needs during that difficult time. I also appreciate my reader's words of encouragement, understanding, and concern. You all have helped me get this far. I am grateful that despite the struggle, I completed the novel according to my timeline. In case you did not know, this novel is Book 2 of the Wright Family Series. You can read the other books by searching for the titles below. Book 1: Mommy, Where Is Daddy? The Forsaken Daughter's Return Book 2: Flash Marriage A Billionaire For A Rebound (Kenzie's Story) Book 3: I Kissed A CEO And He Liked It (Kyle's Story) Book 4: The Devil's Love For The Heiress (Kate's Story) Book 5: I Fell For Th
"Alright, Luke. The first and very basic technique is to strike from above," Andrew said, holding a wooden sword in his hand. "As your starting position, your left foot should be here as your leading foot." Looking down in his ready stance, he explained, "Your right foot is to the back. This way, your body weight is evenly distributed and your hips are facing towards the opponent." He held tightly on the grip and demonstrated, "Your sword is pretty much at shoulder level. Like this." "Then, you bring your sword forward this way. You step your right foot this way, out of the line of attack, and then bring down your blade, hitting your opponent!" Andrew turned to Luke with a confident grin and said, "It's very easy... What do you think?" "Dada! Dada! Num, num mama!" The one-year-old was pointing to the door, wanting to go to his mommy. Obviously, Andrew's demonstration did not sink in to the baby. And how could he? It was just Andrew's wishful t
Kenzie was back home with her husband and daughter. She was at least happy; she got to visit Braeton before she would give birth for she knew, she would need to hold back from flying once the baby is out. Kyle ended up visiting them though, in the middle of her wait. He had been planning to build a hotel in England and that was finally put into action when Andrew aided in securing a prime lot, just within the city. At that time, Kenzie and Andrew suspected that Kyle might be interested in a girl, seeing as how he was now smiling like a love-sick fool, but naturally, her twin brother was in denial. Nevertheless, it wasn't Kenzie's priority. She figured if her brother would meet a girl to help him get it up, she would be introduced to the family soon. Yes, her brother, Kyle had trouble getting it up for some time. Kenzie never knew why, but she was always confident her brother would meet his "The One" in due time. She thought, pe
Months passed again. Crowding in a room of two obstetrician doctors, Andrew walked in with one more. He said, "This is Doctor Mandal, from The Royal London Hospital." Turning to the other doctors, Andrew introduced each one, "This is doctor Owen from Liverpool. This is doctor Martin, my wife's attending doctor." Lying in the hospital bed, Kenzie had a frown on her face. She shook her head and sighed in annoyance at what her husband had actually done. "This is absolutely no disrespect to doctor Martin," Andrew began. "I absolutely - absolutely understand that sometimes, a baby's gender can be named incorrectly." Exhaling deeply, he resumed, "They say, two heads are better than one, well, I made it three heads. Surely, we can be more accurate in identifying my child's gender." "I understand, Mister Kentworthy," doctor Martin replied. "And I respect your preference, so, shall we begin?" It was because of Kenzie's first pregn
A loud smack made it in Kenzie's behind, making her scream, "Ahhh! Andrew!" "Get your ass off the bed, sweetheart? Your pregnant, not sick. The doctor clearly said you could walk, go up and down the stairs, and even work," Andrew said before letting out a heavy sigh. "Your perfectly round ass is going to get bloated." "How dare you? I don't care if I get fat! I will just lie here in bed until this baby turns four months old, and that's final!" Kenzie retorted while giving her husband a nasty stare. "I'd rather be safe than sorry, thank you very much." "Ahhh..." Taking a full turn Andrew groaned before joining his wife to bed. He said, "Well, if you are not joining me at the party, then I'm not going either." "What?" Kenzie turned with a frown. "You are not attending your company's anniversary party? Are you crazy?" "What good is a party if my wife isn't there?" Andrew said while turning to her side and embracing her from behind. "The party can
Time passed again. Months turned into a year. While it did not take long for Kenzie to recover from the depression, the couple decided not to rush on having a baby, rather allow it to come along, should it happen. They did not want to plan it. Each time Andrew and Kenzie made love, they simply relished in the pleasure without expecting anything to come out of it. Whether Kenzie wanted to rest in order to conceive, Andrew never put pressure on her, especially since, when she lost the pregnancy, she blamed herself thoroughly. Thus, Kenzie managed to take her career into greater victory, turning it into a business of her own. She managed to sign more artists under her record label and named her company, Steller Music Entertainment. Within that time frame, Courtney Star released another single, signed under the new record label and the young artist, Little Cali. Others were still working on recording their first album with Kenzie's
"I'm sorry, Misses Kentworthy, but you had a miscarriage." The words kept repeating in Kenzie's head as she sulked inside her room, back in Braeton. On the same day she learned her pregnancy failed, she left to see her family. She brought along Kimberly with her and since Andrew could not just leave the company abruptly, especially when he just took a leave, attending to his parents' wedding; he had to stay and command KNW Lifestyle Media. When she arrived in Braeton, she went straight to her parent's house, not making use of the one her father bought for Kimberly.Kenzie wanted to be in her most familiar space, her comfort zone, one she grew up in most of her life. For three straight days, she had been grieving in her room, merely going out to check on her daughter and eating meals. She could not function effectively in her daily routine, not even enjoy her time with Kimberly. Kenzie, evidently found herself in a depressed state that
Two months passed. Andrew and Kenzie sponsored Melissa and Ambrose's church wedding. It was almost two years too late. They had longed planned their formal celebration, but the two got occupied with taking care of a new baby. Their son, Maverick was hospitalized twice since he was born and that dragged out the couple's plans to formalize their weddings. Furthermore, Ambrose was busy expanding his business, often traveling to another country, hoping to find the next good acquisition. Like Andrew and Kenzie's wedding, many esteemed guests crowded within the cathedral of Melissa's choice. It was yet another grand wedding, coming from the Kentworthys. While waiting for the bride, Kenzie and Andrew gave their regards to Ambrose. "Congratulations again, brother, for finally marrying the woman of your dreams," Andrew said while fixing Ambrose's bowtie. "There you go. You almost looked like me
[WARNING: THIS CHAPTER IS R-18. IT CONTAINS MATURE CONTENT NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNG READERS] Kenzie was feeling pampered, bathing in warm water that complemented with special salt from the Dead Sea, and scented with lavender oil. She felt her skin being lathered by the same mixture as she caressed herself. Just as she closed her eyes appreciating the aroma, she felt hands massaging her neck and back. "Hmmm... right, there," she said while tilting her head to one side. "Though, this is not a place for a massage." Andrew chuckled and said, "You seemed like you could use one." From within their penthouse bathroom, the couple was inside a sizable jacuzzi tub, enjoying their romantic bath, drifting with rose petals. Andrew insisted they enjoy the bath the hotel had arranged, before indulging in a night of love-making. Kenzie's hair was tied behind her head, perfectly formed into a bun and with that, her slender neck was in full displa
