The forest rocked from the explosion. Hundreds of cries were drowned out by the blast as nails, chunks of metal, and glass shot out in every direction, ripping through flesh, bark, and pieces were even lodged into stones.

Jared laid on his back he couldn't hear anything apart from a constant ringing in his ears. Everything was black. 'I can't see... Am I dead?' Jared tried lifting himself up unsuccessfully, although he did manage to raise an arm. 'By the gods it hurts, it really hurts!' Although successful in lifting his arm it felt as if every inch of it screamed at him for his efforts. The pain was so unbearable he felt as if he was going to lose consciousness again.

As the ringing began to subside just a little, Jared was able to make out some sounds although nothing Identifiable.

"rd..."

"Jred"

"JARED!" A voice screamed out. ' I can finally hear again.' Even being capable of hearing again he half wished his ears would have stayed silent for just a li

'Seeing your life flash before your eyes? Thinking of your family? The love of your life back home? Children? Well shit I don't have any children. None of those things seems to be happening.' The only thing currently happening for Jared was he felt so terrified he could hardly breathe. It felt as if some invisible force had a grip on his lungs."I'm sorry!" The soldier truly had considered Jared a friend and felt guilty for abandoning him, but it wasn't just some soldier or peasant coming straight at them. It was Havoc! The man dropped Jared and began running away as fast as his legs would carry them.'Can't really blame him, I would have ran sooner than this.' Jared flopped backwards after he was dropped. Snap. His friend's head explode as if it had been held out in front of a truck going one hundred miles per hour.Jared looked back forward. Havoc was now standing in front of him with his sword hovering over him."Over your dead body." Havoc drove the s

"Diii-" The battle cry was cut off as a blade dug deep into the man's neck severing his head. Havoc did not take a moment to pause though and continued to his next foe kicking him in the chest Launching him backwards, before he hit the ground Havoc flicked his wrist launching the spare sword into the man's heart. Swiftly side stepping a blade swung down on him, Havoc grabbed the soldier's forearm and drove his sword into the man holding it with a reverse grip. As the soldier dropped his own sword Havoc snatched it out of the air."Have to admit, I'm not so used to this kind of workout anymore.""Yea, you seem to be slowing down. It's probably our own fault though." Havoc and Thomas pushed fairly far ahead of their own forces and were now surrounded on all sides facing a constant assault."Suppose you are right, but their focus is almost completely on us. Gods can only imagine the damage that is being inflicted on them from behind.""Hey isn't your sword m

"Expulse!" Alexis yelled out the words echoing even above the cries of battle.Havoc tried his best to jump back and put distance between him and Alexis, there was only a brief pause before it happened.Bowm!A strange shockwave echoed in a circle around Alexis. Even Behind the mask Havoc's eyes went wide. He quickly put his sword in front of him and tried to brace it with his other arm as best he could. When the echoed wave collided with his sword it looked as if there was a brief struggle of wills, but after a moment of struggle Havoc was blown clean off his feet.Havoc shot backwards slamming into soldier after soldier. The force of the shockwave was outrageous! Havoc felt pain all over most his body as he sailed through the air. When he was first knocked back it felt as though the air had been sucked completely out of him. Each soldier he slammed into just made the feeling repeat itself. When Havoc nearly lost his consciousness from lack of oxygen, l

Poom! The electric charged blast slammed into Alexis's chest. In the blink of an eye he was no longer in the place he had been standing and was now plowing through his fellow soldiers just as Havoc had."Ha...Ha..." Havoc managed a few haggard breaths before finally standing straight and looking at the dragon. "Thank you friend. I'll take it from here." he said patting the dragon on the side. The dragon gave a small nod and spread it's wings wide. With a single flap of it's wings it was able to launch up into the air. The force of a single beat of it's wings was enough for it to clear the ground, so needless to say all the surrounding soldier's were blown away from itself and Havoc.Havoc stood watching the creature fly higher and higher until it had fully disappear from view."Argh... Ga.. Y-You bastard!" Alexis limped into view from the ring of soldiers while dragging his Magic armor behind him which was now half melted."H-How dare you get outside help

The moment the creature in question took a step into view, everyone both visually and audibly began to panic. He was wearing the same clothing and armor as Havoc, but the mask was now slung from his belt. Standing before them was a creature with glowing violet eyes, Black transparent wings, a tail flicked side to side behind him, his mouth now slit halfway up his cheeks on either side revealing rows of razor sharp teeth, Horns growing from his head curling backwards forming almost an upside down U. His hands now claws, gripped the sword at his waste unsheathing the weapon he held it close to his mouth and whispered."Run wild Chaos." and threw it further back into the ranks of Albrael.Towards the middle back of the formation Halbert sat completely uninterested in the events still picking at his teeth. " Can't get this damn food out!" He grumbled."Sir things are bad!""I'll tell you what's bad, I've been working at this damn thing for hours and can't get this

Everyone stared into the cloud of dust and smoke hoping, wishing, praying that it was the end of Havoc, desperately clinging to the idea that their mind had the power to make it so."Is he dead? Some one go take a look!""If you are that eager to find out, you can be the one to go look!"Officer? Superior? No one was going to give a damn about orders if it meant walking to their certain death! They were soldiers, it was a possibility any day could be their last, but none were willing to approach their end so willingly."LOOK!"A lone shadow stood in the smoke slouched and unmoving. It almost gave off the appearance of someone who had passed out but remained standing some how."DIE!"A soldier wasted no time and let loose an arrow at the silhouette. Everyone watched the arrow sail towards its target holding their breath in anticipation. The tension was so taut a toddler could cut it using a butter knife. The arrow flew true striking the target

At the feet of the monsters it looked as if a black mist followed in their footsteps, but in reality it was small black orbs that was leaving a trail of smoke behind them. As the army of lost souls and Albrael clashed the orbs maneuvered between the chaos slithering their way past the front line."The rain is coming!" The mage captain called out over the pitch of battle. The sky behind him was dyed in a brilliant light, as if the sky itself was on fire. Dozens of fireballs began raining down from the sky crashing into the minions of Brisia, Hundreds of the creatures went poof into a black smoke. Although it took a nice chunk of the monsters with them in the bombardment, it was as if their numbers were replaced just as quickly. No one was able to see a large distance in front of them, but there was no end in sight."Well this doesn't look good." Alexis was always looking for a challenge, but this time may be a little more then what he was looking for."AAAH!" Scr

"It's you isn't it Chris?"Havoc looked to Sarah, but as he turn to face her the momentum almost seem to be to much for him, swaying almost like a drunk...."Alesia." He mumbled as he rocked forward beginning to collapse.Boom!A lightning bolt struck the ground in front of Havoc, where it hit now stood the Ashen skin beauty catching Havoc as he was mid fall. People began to move forward worried for their leader, but Alesia Held up her hand as she glared at everyone present."No one come any closer or chance my anger!" She announced in a cold voice. "Marielle give me a hand." In a moment the black dragon who helped Havoc earlier dropped down from a tree above. "We will be taking him inside the castle." Alesia hoist Chris onto the dragon's back, she herself then leaped onto the dragon. Once it knew they were both on the dragon leaped over everyone's heads heading towards the castle. "They used siege magic on the rear line?" Alexis asked with a furrowed brow. "Why would they expend so much magic on the rear line?" To Alexis this didn't make any sense. If they were using it as an opener to an attack from the rear, it would definitely be justifiable. Have your men rush in taking advantage of the destroyed lines and chaos. But using siege magic alone and backing off, would be like someone taking a shotgun to kill a spider inside their own house. Beyond overkill. If they had struck the center of their lines, their commanders, or even their supply train, Alexis could understand the expenditure. Most magic users could fling spells they specialized in for a majority of the day. But siege magic? The average mage could use it four times in one day, but be severely weakened for the next couple of days. Sure they could use siege magic again the next day, but each day without a proper recovery time the power of the attack would be cut in half. "Well sir it seems the rear l

Inside Helenfel. "Right here." Cassandra pointed at a section of her map sprawled out on the table. "This will be the perfect place." Andrea walked around the table to stand next to Cassandra looking down on the map. "Hmmm good call. When they emerge here they'll be in a bottleneck." "That's not all. They'll be coming around a corner too. They wont be able to see our army waiting for them until it's too late. We'll also have archers along the cliff tops. that can shoot down on them." "Why not have our archers continue firing down on them the entire stretch? That's miles of cliff ledge we could use to thin them out." Garrett asked retracing the path on the Albrael army was taking. "Because we don't want to give away our archers. The reason we've barely had our men harass them the past day was leading up to this moment. Most of all we don't want them to double back, leaving the kill zone we've set up." "Isn't there a chance they sent men to the top of the cliffs too though?" "We

Multiple days had passed in the City Of Darkness following the surrender/purge of any still resisting dissidents. And life had begun returning to normal little by little after the bodies were removed from the streets. Havoc's army had upheld their orders. Those who surrendered were allowed to return home without any recourse for fighting against their new host. Neither the members of The Black Guard, nor their militia counter parts caused any unnecessary damage, nor did they loot and pillage the city. Frankly apart from the angered nobles who's homes had been bombarded during the siege, the city was peaceful and upbeat. The stalls were open, any artisans were back to their crafts. The children ran and played in the now cleaned streets that had been soaked in blood not long ago. Guards were posted on every wall and street corner. Christopher and the other leaders involved weren't fools. Though they had been merciful, eventually there would be some who would try fighting back. They e

Just a little earlier"This is big! This is really big!" Brisia grinned ear to ear as she paced back and forth hardly able to contain her excitement. Her little walk even leading her up the walls and onto the ceiling dancing, and skipping, somehow defying gravity."Shit! Shit Shit!" Alesia growled through grit teeth. "I knew something was coming, but even I never imagined this!" Alesia's current mood was about as close to polar opposite of Brisia's as it could get. 'This is the last thing we need currently! If they find out, especially in the middle of this war, we're seriously fucked! Like fucked on the level I was when all the other gods betrayed me and had me cast from the heavens! Perhaps even more fucked!'"I still can't believe it! I mean I suppose when you look at his track record it would make sense, but holy shit!" Brisia exclaimed. "Not just immortal but he's turning into a god.""I know... More so a god of death." Alesia groaned. The completed 'tattoo' pretty much confirme

Thunk.... Thunk..."Riggy... Any day now..""Y-You d-don't rush perfection!" Mortis groaned as his nerves were being grated against by a rather pushy spirit. "E-Elise if you think you can do better, by all means t-take over!" He snapped back.Thunk! Thunk!"Well look Riggy.. I don't mean to be pushy... BUT PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO FUCKING KILL US!" Elise roared flapping her arms up and down like they were wings.Fwee! As though on cue an arrow zipped between their faces, mere millimeters from giving Mortis a nose piercing he didn't wish for....."S-See not that bad.." He stood his ground glaring back at Elise who could only return his gaze with wild eyed disbelief.Thunk! Thunk! Thunk! Thunk!"That's because there's a wall of shields protecting you and your wrinkled ass!"Thunk! Thunk! Thunk! Thunk! Thunk! Thunk! Thunk! Thunk! Christopher walked to the giant hole in the wall he had created when trying to incinerate Markous looking out over the city breathing a heavy sigh, hanging his head low and shaking it. "What's wrong? At this rate the city is as good as yours? Shouldn't you be happy?" Brisia asked walking up the wall before hanging upside down looking out of the hole too. "See your people are already working on the third gate. Isn't this what you wished for?" "I'll admit.. I wasn't expecting to get that old bastard's approval, but this didn't pan out as I had hoped." He shrugged watching balls of fire rain down upon the noble district from the trebuchets outside the city. "Sooo you didn't want the city?" "Pftt I could give two shits less about the city. I wanted the power that dwelled down here. On that note I suppose you could say this was a success. But by the gods the more I was stuck in the presence of that asshole, the more I want to feed his head to a thousand small animals. Just gotta hope th

"HAHAHA JUSTICE SHALL BE DELIVERED!" Vale cried out as though she were a poor soul who had been denied justice by the courts for far too long.BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!The ground erupted all around both the twins and the behemoth of a Vampire. The girls quickly turned their backs to one another taken by surprise, readying themselves as best they could considering their injuries. Their eyes caught a glimpse of a creature emerging from the earth, and it was almost instant. The pair blinked and by the time their eyes opened the massive beings were already hovering well above their heads."You've got to be shitting me." Lala mumbled."If she could do this, It would've been nice of her to have done something sooner." Laura huffed her arm dangling limp by her side.Though still on edge the twins felt they could finally breathe a sigh of relief. The pair took several steps back returning behind their friendly lines. RAAAWR! A roar ripped through the caverns as the ground beneath their feet began to shake violently. Many people from both sides of the battle looked around trying to find what kind of ferocious beast could emit such a blood curdling sound. "I haven't heard a roar like that in thousands of years." "I've never heard that kind ever!" Their eyes scanned the surroundings. Looking side to side, up around the cavern ceiling, only to find nothing. The monstrous sound was far to loud for anyone to mistakenly assume they had just imagined it. The rumbling earth began shaking harder and harder although you couldn't physically see any movement, the people could feel the movements underneath their feet from whatever was coming, like a slithering serpent snaking it's way through the grass. It felt as though the very earth beneath their feet may collapse at any moment. If anyone in the vicinity were to claim the gods were angered and unleashing their fury on the city, many wouldn't doubt the w
