Chapter 102

PRECIOUS

After breakfast, we all sat together in the boy's room, including his father who had his head resting against the bed headrest with a smile plastered on his face as he watched me play with Nate's hair.

He had woken up, to everyone's relief, and although he's still weak, he's been all cheerful.

"I still can't believe that our little mate has powers. How come we never noticed it?" Richmond said with a smile, his eyes twinkling as he appraised me and I rolled my eyes at him. I looked away, trying not to catch his eyes again, and I looked down at Nate only to find him staring at me.

I arched my eyebrows up immediately, "Why are you staring at me?" He slipped part of his lower lip into his mouth, which formed into a smirk, and he looked me directly in the eyes.

"Richmond is right. How come no one realized you got the healing power in you, huh?"

"You asked the right person in deed, " I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes and blinking hard at him which caused him to laugh
