Chapter 40

Declan

   The morning started great. We got up, got ready for work, and had breakfast with the family. I gave Harley a big kiss and sent her off with Cole to work. We were following behind everyone to head to work. I was driving my truck today, and it was a good thing that I did. I have a siren that I can attach to my roof in emergency situations. And this morning was an emergency situation. 

  As we were starting up along the straight stretch, I saw a car come flying out of the only road that turns off of the main road. They hit Harley and Cole hard and sent the car over the side of the road. Henley and I both cussed, and then he called into the station. I attached the siren to the roof of my truck and took off. I called Jax and told him that we were going after the guy and to make sure that our girl was OK.
