“Did you see the way they looked at each other as we talked about mates” Ferrah asked me as I pulled the blankets back and climbed into bed. “Sofia and Danny would make perfect mates the only issue would be the blood-binding” she says coming to climb into bed with me.

Tugging her close to me I kiss her head and tuck her into my side “We could always wait until after the shift and goddess ceremony to do the blood-binding” I tell her leaning my head on hers.

“Yeah I think that’s what we should do” she says with a sigh, snuggling further into my side.

Once she’s asleep I stay watching her for a few minutes then slip out of bed to do my rounds around the house.

As usual Kane has wondered into Jessi’s room and is asleep on the floor next to his twin brother bed his hand holding Jessi’s in his sleep. Picking Kane up I do like I always do and tuck him in with his brother then make sure the balcony door is closed tight before closing the bedroom door and venture down the hall checking
