Chapter 26: Finding Kimberly 12.

Still holed up at the Ashfield Motel, Kimberly's mind raced with memories. She flashed back to the last time she saw a syringe - the one her mother wielded, injecting a substance that disrupted her system. The memory ignited a firestorm of panic and rage within her.

“Get that away from me!” Kimberly spat at the receptionist, her eyes fixed on the syringe held mid-air.

The receptionist, seemingly unfazed, nodded to the man beside her. “Hold her firmly,” she instructed, her voice firm and detached.

The man stepped forward, his menacing gaze locked onto Kimberly, his eyes cold and unyielding. His presence seemed to shrink the space around her, making her feel trapped and vulnerable.

In a swift and brutal motion, he seized Kimberly and shoved her into the room, making her stumble backward.

Before she could regain her balance, he grasped her by both arms, his fingers digging deep into her skin as he held her in a strong grip. Kimberly struggled to break free, but his hold was unyielding.
