Chapter 25: Finding Kimberly 11

“BANG BANG BANG!” Came the loud knocking on the wooden door, jolting Kimberly awake from her deep slumber.

Warm rays of sunlight pierced through the slightly opened small window. She stirred, realizing it was now the dawn of another day. As she sat up, her bones creaked softly, reminding her of her prolonged rest.

Groggily, she swung her legs over the side of the bed, planting them firmly on the ground. Rubbing the sleep of her eyes, she stumbled to the door, her annoyance brewing with each step.

“Who's it?!” She yelled, her irritation evident in her tone.

“Room service!” Replied the stern voice that emerged from the other side of the door. The voice sounded quite familiar and Kimberly suspected it to be the motel receptionist who had locked her inside the room she paid for and vanished with the key.
