Hidden Powers

“Come here human! Let me eat you now!” Belzer the demon crawl on the ground with his gigantic snake body.

I don’t know what to do anymore.  I just keep on hiding and running away against the demon. It’s too late when I finally realized that I should’ve obey Lucifer. Now I know why this forest was forbidden.

“Lucifer! Help me!” My feet desperately created a friction onto the thorny grassy field where I got lot of scars onto my naked feet.

“Even if you keep on calling that name, you can’t escape from me!” I hide behind the bushes while trying to breathe slowly.

My eyes widened as I spot his huge shadows towards me. He smells like a pungent blood, I wondered how many innocent souls did he ate in this forbidden forest. I don’t have any idea that he’s already beside me. I looked behind and viewed his green demonic eyes.

“Got you!” Belzer strangled my neck and tried to kill me with his scaly hands.

“P-Please! Don’t kill me!” I pleaded as I cried.

“When you desperately intrude this forest, you already face your death.”  He ripped my dress and ignorantly stared at my chest.

“L-Lucifer… I’m so sorry if I… disobeyed you… If I will still had a chance to live… I will always listen to you… so please… save me.” I looked above as I slowly felt my death. Little by little, there’s a quick splashed that summoned the air.

“It was Lucifer!” He came floating in the air. His eyes were flaring up with fire and angrily looking at Belzer.

“Let her go Belzer!” He pointed his fingers towards him.

“And why would I do that?” Belzer mocked him.

Lucifer’s brows met in the middle and gradually controlled the fire around him. He forced it towards Belzer and started to attack but Belzer used me as his shield.

“Go ahead demon king! Kill me! And if you kill me, you will kill her as well!” Belzer laughed.

Lucifer got mad even more right after Belzer underestimated him. But I just can’t stand watching them fighting in front of my sight.

“Lucifer! Don’t mind me! Just kill this st*pid demon!” I screamed.

“Are you out of your mind?! I can’t kill you!” Lucifer’s eyes became burning red and it was gleaming in the darkness.

“I’m an irresponsible wife! I disobeyed you! I just deserve to die!” My tears fell down from my eyes as I looked at his face.

“Y-You… I…” Lucifer strangled his arms and put a thrust towards Belzer. 

The fire came towards his side that burned his left arm. Belzer stormed with pain and accidentally dropped me. I fell down onto the ground and bumped my head. I eventually lost my consciousness and when I woke up, I found Lucifer carrying me.

“Are you  awake now?” He looked at me and asked.

“W-Why?”

“What is it? What’s the problem?”

“Why did you saved me? I disobeyed you....” I strangled his clothes and put my face onto his chest.

“It’s true that my wife has trust issues. But I would rather destroy the world rather than letting you die.” He smiled at me with warmth then gently wiped away my tears.

Little did we know, Belzer put a trap onto the ground while we’re walking. Lucifer accidentally  walked towards it until we both got wrapped around Belzer’s trap. It was his plan at the first place. I just realized that Lucifer was his main target and he just used me as a tool to captured him.

“Emerald, hold on tight!” Lucifer hugged me while Belzer slowly wrapped us upon his long snake gigantic body.

“You’re both dead now, f**ls!” Belzer laughed and put his long tounge right in the middle of his mouth.

I could slowly feel the pain since he slowly trying to strangle our body. My breathing became moderate and I looked at Lucifer whose wearing a worried face.

“Lucifer, I’m sorry….” I whimpered.

“Sorry for what?”

“I used to put you some trouble….” I sighed.

“You’re not a trouble for me, Emerald.” He pat my head and angrily looked at Belzer right after our short conversation.

“Belzer! I know that I’m the one that you wanted to kill! Let her escape and I’ll let you kill me!” Lucifer remarked.

“I’m not a bastard, demon king! I know that you’re just trying to trick me with your sh*t and I’m tired of it!” Belzer made us suffer with pain even harder. I know he’s mat at Lucifer right after he got to injured his left arm.

I feel sad for myself and for Lucifer. I just hope that I have powers to protect him as well since I used to give him such trouble. 

A single teardrop fell from my eyes and I suddenly wiped it away. That moment, a mysterious light condensed into my fingertips that made me wondered. That light became wider as it is until my whole hands lit up.

“W-What's that?” Lucifer’s eyes widened and divulged.

“I-I don’t know either.” 

When the light became wider and wider from my hands, Lucifer and Belzer suddenly fainted and collapsed.

“Turn that f*cking light off from your hands, human!” Belzer mumbled.

“I don’t know how to turn this off! I’m not a lamp! It just lit up from my hands!” I looked at Lucifer and saw that he’s fainting the more that he get attached to the light.

“L-Lucifer, are you alright?” I asked him worriedly.

Afterwards, Belzer already fainted and lost his strength. So he let us go and decided to run away as fast as he can just to be able to get rid of me and to the light within me.

“This light… is this… power?” I deeply stared at my hands.

“Emerald… I…” Lucifer gradually lost his consciousness. I came to pick him up but he was too heavy. So I just let him rest round my arms and wait until he finally open up his eyes.

After a while, he finally regain his consciousness. He woke up and suddenly look into my hands.

“The light that came from you earlier… it was… sacred,” he whispered.

“Sacred? What do you mean? Why would I gain this kind of power even if God already abandoned me?” I grasped his arms and begged for the answer.

“I-I don’t know either. But that light could make us dekons faint until we slowly die.”

My eyes widened and got scared when I heard Lucifer admitting the truth behind my hidden powers. I walked backwards and avoided him for me to prevent hurting him.

“Emerald, don’t walk away.” He quickly grabbed my back and hugged me as tight as he can.

“Even if this affection slowly kills me, it doesn’t matter anymore. I’m crazy inlove with you, Emerald. And you’re my addiction that I would die for.” He looked at me directly in the eyes and I could hear his heartbeat.

“Lucifer, you really are crazy.” I grasped his back as well and smell his relaxing scent.

After that tragedy, Lucifer and I return to his kingdom safely. It’s a good thing that he didn’t died because of me. But I was worried about my powers. Now that I’m aware that it could harm Lucifer and the demons around me, I don’t know if it’s still a blessing or a curse.

After our dinner, I know that Lucifer knew that I’m not feeling well. He eventually grabbed my hand then we both entered our bedroom.

“H-Hey! What are you doing?” I stopped him from grabbing me and angrily interrogated.

“I know you’re tired so we’re going to sleep now.”

“T-Together?!”

“Ofcourse, why not? We’re a married couple and we’re supposed to sleep together and do some weird stuffs too,” he smirked.

“Eh? Seriously?! W-Wait!” Lucifer hugged me and forced me to lay down with him in bed. My brows rose up as he slowly unbuttoned his shirt.

“My wife, are you ready for it?”
