*A WEEK AGO*“Couldn’t sleep?” In the dimly lit kitchen, Aldo spotted Rico on the bar stool. His hair was disheveled from tossing and turning on the bed. The officer raised an eyebrow as he said, “Let me get this straight, she’s actually missing?” His eyes darted back and forth from the picture of Sunny to her best friend Judy.“Yes,” Judy said, her fingers intertwined together as she played with them. The house felt oddly quiet. Sunny couldn’t exactly pinpoint why. She walked down the hall, her eyes flicking every corner she could find. Rico was now where to be found. Judy stared at the home address on the piece of paper in her hand. She couldn’t resist the urge to knock with her itchy hands, but at the same time, her nerves were wrecked.
