Chapter Forty Eight

Three weeks later

Lilith's POV

Theo and Khai have been taking turns looking after me.

When it's Theo and me, we tend to do things that I would consider dating.

We watch movies with popcorn on the sofa and make out whilst ignoring the movie we chose. He takes me for a stroll in the wood or down to the little waterfall to go skinny dipping which usually ends up in us having sex somewhere around there.

We take showers and baths, and he gives me massages. He dotes on me, and I love it.

When I'm with Khai, he's a drill sergeant. We practise our powers, ensuring that I can protect myself in case something terrible happens. He's frank and tells me it's only a matter of time until his father comes for me, and I believe him.

I'm in the face of danger, and I know that is precisely why neither of them leaves me alone much, but today Khai is meeting with his pack, taking them food and money and making sure everyone is okay.
