Loraine’s POV

If I ever felt guilty for thinking Jennifer is not the character she portrays herself to be, then I would wash myself of every guilt and doubt.

She is a two-timing bitch.

After the funeral service, there is a significant change in the people around us. When the Alpha brothers decide to walk around and greet the guests, heads turn and whispers buzz. Especially when Alpha Hunter keeps introducing me as their Luna.

“How’s the ball coming along?” one of the guests who Alpha Hunter introduced as Zeke asks.

“Very well.” Alpha Hunter answers. “My Luna has been breaking her hands to make it a day to be remembered.”

He turns to me, his smile faltering a little. “Well, I’ll be there just to see how everything goes. Hunter cannot stop going with how perfect you are.”

I smile and nod, not knowing what to reply to that. I have no idea that Alpha Hunter has been talking to other people about me or that he has even had the time to do that. Sasha nudges my side, whispering s

Loraine’s POV I never get a chance to speak to Gordon. I blame the Alpha brothers for that. Whatever'speech’ they had with him must have scared him away, and they give me no information about what they talked about. I console myself with the fact that I will see him at the ball. Kris has assured me that he will be there and Jennifer too, although I have nothing else to discuss with her except that she decides to step in my way. I don’t tell the Alpha brothers about our small spat in the restroom, although I’m sure they’ll hear it soon. News flies like the wind in this place. I immerse myself in preparing for the ball. Sharing beds with the brothers becomes surprisingly normal, and most days, I find myself counting down time till night comes and I have to sleep, especially when it's Kris’ turn. Nothing much happens during bedtime. Although my wolf is quite disappointed by it, she’s content with having all her mates close. At this rate, choosing is going to be really hard, a

  • Fated to Four Brothers    The Steps of an Alpha

Loraine’s POV There's a distinct change in the community after Alpha Hunter’s announcement that the ball will be moved. It creates some kind of unrest, and a lot of their pack members keep wondering if it’s not safe. Although they are yet to outrightly attack any of the brothers’ packs, the attacks are becoming more frequent and happen in packs close enough to rattle us. Whoever they are, they are very good at covering up their tracks because even Killian, whom I’ve been told is the best tracker in all of the werewolf community, is having a hard time tracking them. But they would be caught. For now, I’ve decided to pour in my all-in support for Kris through his tests. I have no idea what goes on when he’s carrying out his tests because it's all top secret, confidential stuff, but Sasha says it’s mainly a test of strength—that means he is put in a ring with other Alphas and made to fight till he’s either beaten all of them to a pulp or they surrender. Of course, she knows bec

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Rescue Mission

Loraine’s POV Alpha Hunter grunts as he rolls over, and I take the opportunity to scramble out of the bed and over to my closet at the same time, trying to reach Sasha with the phone, but her number keeps directing me to voicemail. Fuck, fuck, fuck. I mutter over and over again. I don’t know what has happened, but Sasha had sounded fucking scared over the phone. Why did she call me? Where was Beta Maddox? If there was trouble, why did he not try to reach the Alpha Brothers? What the hell was going on? Nothing makes sense. But it doesn’t matter. She is the only friend I’ve had since I came here, the only person whose feelings seemed sincere enough for me. Who liked me for who I was and wanted nothing in return? I’m on my way, Sash. Just stay where you are till I come. Hopefully, my prayers to whatever gods were listening will not go unheard, and they will keep Sasha safe till I find her. She’s my friend; if she needs me, then I’ll be getting my ass over there just to save h

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Saving Lives

Loraine’s POV After several tries, Sasha’s number finally goes through. The mountain of panic that had settled in my chest recedes a little. She’s fine. I tell myself. Panicked, but fine. We can work with that. Her voice sounds miserable, almost desperate. “I’m holding up in our bathroom. I don’t know how long before... The breath hitches, and I tell myself to calm down; panicking wouldn’t do her any good. “I’m trying to keep the fire away from here, but... its too much. I can’t reach Maddox. He was down on the first floor when I came up to shower.” Unconsciously, I grip the seat hard. A little too hard. “Okay. Okay, don’t panic. Alpha Hunter and the brothers are here, and there’s firefighters too. We’ll get you out of there.” even if it fucking kills me. She huffs, but it’s more of a sob. “God, I’m so scared. If something’s happened to Maddox—” I cut her off before she could finish the sentence. “He’s fine.” If he was anything but alive, she would have felt it, the bond would

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Cleaning A Mess

Loraine’s POV Killian led Sasha and me straight to one of the emergency vans to get checked out by a healer, and all my friends appeared. While Killian maintains his cold, detached expression, Alpha Hunter looks like he’s ready to scream about me running head first into danger but is to relieved I’m okay to berate me right now. Although he’s more pissed. Preston looks as though he’s struggling about what to do with me right now, but when my lips quirk into a shy smile, he lets down all his defences and just smiles back at me. Kris stays glued to me, burying his head in my neck. I don’t think he can even smell my scent through all the smoke that’s clinging to me. Sasha is devastated. Maddox is yet to be found—whether alive or dead—and she still cannot reach him through their link. Alpha Hunter cannot reach him either, and I’m hoping we don’t have to relieve the events of last month all over again. The fire is not likely to be extinguished soon, and Sasha does not want to take

  • Fated to Four Brothers    A Trap for Us

Loraine’s POV I want them all. All of my buddies. I want to have the chance to keep them all, and the thought alone is terrifying. Is it normal? Would they all want to be with me together? Do I run way rather than stay and choose? Which would be harder, choosing one and losing the rest or running away and choosing no one? Shit. I shouldn’t be thinking about that now that three of my friends are going on a rescue mission that might be a trap. But that's all I can think about. Alpha Hunter’s head is resting on mine. The tips of our noses are touching, and our lips are only inches away... if I just leaned in a bit. His smell is everywhere, hacking into my brains and senses. I know how important this mission is, but I don’t want to let him go. “Come back to me.” I push back the tears that are threatening the walls of my eyes. “Please. Come back.” His lips take mine, and I gasp at the intensity of the kiss he gives me. the promise in it. I’m swaying on my feet, and only his ha

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Test for Alphas

Loraine’s POV The test centre—or whatever it is being called—is a large room, built in the shape of a half moon. The floors are made of smooth, polished stone, and the seats look like they are made from the same earth as the stone. It is almost otherworldly. Most of the council members are already present, and others are still trooping in, and when their eyes land on us, they flash us a hard glare. I lean in to Sasha and whisper, “Are you sure we are allowed to be here? Those men look like they want to murder us.” Sasha shakes her head, glaring at them right back. “We’re fine. The old men are just being grouchy and looking for who to pour out all their anger on.” I lean back on my seat and narrow my eyes at her. Maybe she’s the one who’s looking to vent. Kris is in the centre of the stage, waiting for the council members to settle in and start with today’s test. I use that time to admire the motifs and adornments on the walls. They are portraits of previous Alphas; I recognise

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Winner Takes It All

Loraine’s POV After the game ends—Kris wins—it takes more than two hours of unbearable silence and anxiety before I can see him again. I lunge into his arms as soon as he comes in, throwing myself into his arms. He huffs but still holds on to me tight as though his life depends on it. I hug him back with the same fervor. I take a lungful of his scent, which has now mixed with blood, sweat, and dirt. “You look like shit.” I say with my face still buried into the nook of his neck. “I feel like shit.” Kris chuckles and pulls away from me. The chuckle turns into a throaty laugh when I try to continue pinning myself around his neck. “C’mon. We need to get home so I can wash up and change into something better. I’m sure I reek of rebels.” I scrunch my nose, pulling away reluctantly. “I’m not coming in here again. I’m not sure I can keep myself from going into the arena with you next time.” Kris laughs and slips his hand into mine, then leads us out to the entrance, where Sasha is

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Complications

Loraine’s POV I set my book down and gave her a polite smile. “What do you need, Mabel?” She chuckled lightly, as if I’d made a joke. “Why does it have to be about needing something? Maybe I just wanted to talk.” I raised an eyebrow. Mabel and I weren’t exactly on friendly terms, and this sudden attempt at camaraderie felt as fake as her tone. Still, I gestured for her to sit. “Alright. Talk.” She perched on the edge of the bench, smoothing out her dress. “You know, I’ve been thinking. We’ve had our differences, but we’re both part of this pack now. Maybe it’s time we tried to get along.” I leaned back, crossing my arms. “Get along? After everything you’ve done? Are you fucking kidding me right now? Her smile faltered for a second before she quickly recovered. “I’ve made mistakes; I’ll admit that. But don’t you think we should put the past behind us? For the good of the pack?” I tilted my head, studying her carefully. Her eyes were wide, her expression open, but there was some

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Family

Loraine’s POV When I opened my eyes the next morning, the first thing I saw was Killian sitting by my bedside. His thick arms were crossed, and his head was tilted slightly back as if he’d dozed off. The sunlight streaming through the window highlighted the sharp lines of his face, softening them. I shifted slightly, and his eyes snapped open immediately. “You’re awake,” he said, relief washing over his face as he leaned forward. “I wasn’t dying, you know,” I teased, though my voice was still hoarse from the previous day. “That’s not funny,” he replied, his tone serious despite the small smile tugging at his lips. “We were really worried about you.How in the goddess's name did you fall?” Before I could say anything else, the door opened, and Preston, Kris, and Hunter filed in, each carrying something in their hands. Preston had coffee, Kris had a tray of food, and Hunter was carrying a blanket that looked far too big for the hospital bed. “We thought you’d be hungry,” Kris said

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Gordon’s Ally

Mabel’s POV My uncle’s voice echoed in my head, sharp and unforgiving. “You’re not doing enough, Mabel.” It wasn’t just a criticism—it was an accusation, a reminder that failure wasn’t an option. My fists clenched as I paced my room. I had done everything he’d asked. What more could he want? “I’ve been working tirelessly,” I muttered under my breath, trying to push his biting words aside. But his response had been just as infuriating. “If you were doing enough, we wouldn’t still be having this problem, would we?” My uncle and I had been working together for a long time now. And I thought he would understand where I was coming from by now. The nerve. The absolute fucking nerve. Did he think sabotaging Loraine and breaking down those overly possessive alphas was freaking easy? Since I came, I had done my best to make sure Loraine was away from the boys, but nothing I did allowed them near me. They always stayed away from me no matter what I did, no matter how many stunts I pull

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Truth about parents

Loraine’s POV Gordon’s words haunted me. “I know where your real parents are.” That fucking asshole! I had spent the entire night replaying that moment over and over in my head, convincing myself it was a lie. Gordon was a manipulator, someone who thrived on creating chaos and pain. Surely, this was just another attempt to mess with me. But then there was that small, traitorous part of me—the part that whispered, What if he’s telling the truth? The thought made my stomach twist. I tried to push it away, but it kept creeping back. My parents—the ones who raised me—were loving and kind. They had given me everything, taught me everything, made me who I am today. They’re my parents, I told myself firmly. They have to be. Still, doubt ate at me. The day started as any other—me waking up to the sounds of my mates already busy in the kitchen. I forced a smile, determined to focus on them instead of Gordon. My mates needed me, and I needed to shake off these dark thoughts. Walking i

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Another Revelation

Loraine’s POV The day after, Prince Gideon updated us on everything. The house was quiet—too quiet. That usually meant trouble, especially when all four of my mates were involved. I wandered through the halls, half-expecting to stumble upon chaos, but instead, I found myself piecing together just how hard they had been working behind the scenes to protect me. Kris had left early that morning, his usual calm demeanor masking the tension I knew he felt. Hunter had spent the night pacing the halls, muttering something about rogue sightings, while Preston and Killian had been in and out of the office, trying to keep the rest of the pack on high alert. I sighed, leaning against the kitchen counter as I prepared breakfast for them. The sight of the empty table tugged at my heart. They’d been stretched thin lately, all because of me. I never meant for my life to bring so much drama into theirs. “They deserve better,” I whispered to myself. But even as the thought crossed my mind, ano

  • Fated to Four Brothers    A Brother’s Bond

Killian’s POV The morning was chaotic, as usual, in our kitchen. Loraine had been up early to make breakfast for everyone—a sweet thank-you for all the support we’d been giving her lately. But between Preston stealing food off everyone’s plates and Hunter barking orders about the day’s plans, the kitchen was less of a peaceful sanctuary and more of a battlefield. I leaned against the counter, sipping coffee, and watched the madness unfold. “Preston, I swear if you touch my bacon again—” Hunter growled, but Preston just grinned and popped the strip into his mouth. Loraine laughed from her spot by the stove, shaking her head at them. “You’re all worse than children.” In the middle of it all, Kris sat at the far end of the table, quietly eating his eggs like the chaos didn’t even touch him. He looked calm, almost serene, but I knew better. I’d watched him long enough to know that Kris’s calm exterior was a mask. He was always the most composed of us—our resident peacemaker—but when

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Her Guardian

Kris’s POV The house was still quiet when I walked into the kitchen, the faint scent of breakfast lingering in the air from earlier. The other guys were scattered throughout the manor—Hunter poring over reports in his office, Killian likely plotting strategies, and Preston… probably trying to charm Loraine into sneaking off somewhere for a private moment. And Loraine? My Luna? Well, she was upstairs, reading. Her soft laughter had floated down earlier when Preston said something ridiculous. I leaned against the counter, pouring myself a cup of coffee, and let myself enjoy the moment. We were finally finding balance. I never thought it would work, sharing her after how Mabel played us against each other in the past. We had decided that it’s not in a wolf’s nature to share his mate, so we vowed not to… but somehow, it worked for us again. The bond we all had with her was not at all like the corrupted bond we had with Mabel before; this one felt right—natural, even. We could have h

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Conniving Bitch

Mabel’s POV The chill of the night bit at my skin as I slipped out of my borrowed room in the brothers’ sprawling manor. The house was silent, save for the soft creaks of the old floors under my feet. Wrapping my coat tighter around myself, I stepped into the waiting car, its sleek black interior swallowing me whole. “Where to, Miss Mabel?” the driver asked, his voice even, unbothered by the lateness of the hour. “Elder Arnold’s estate,” I said sharply, avoiding his gaze. “He said grandmother needed to see me this night.” I lied unnecessarily. This was the fucking driver who could never dare to hurt or even expose me, but something in me just enjoyed telling these lies to make everyone pity me. I didn’t even have a grandmother! She died before I met her, but I didn’t care; I just enjoyed my stories. The car rolled into motion, and I leaned back against the seat, trying to steady my thoughts. My uncle’s summons had been brief and cryptic, but I knew what it was about. It was al

  • Fated to Four Brothers    More Investigations

Loraine’s POV The smell of the morning air wafted through the slightly cracked window as sunlight peeked into the room. I woke up feeling warm, safe, and entirely surrounded by love. Fuck! This was the life I was supposed to live. Thank the goddess for giving me this. The boys were still fast asleep, their steady breaths filling the room. Killian’s arm was draped lazily over my waist, and Preston was nestled close, his hand barely brushing mine. Kris and Hunter sprawled out on either side, peaceful and unguarded. They were perfect and all mine. I smiled, my heart swelling with gratitude. After everything yesterday, they had gone out of their way to make me feel cherished. The least I could do was return the favor. Quietly, I slipped out of bed, careful not to wake them, and tiptoed out of the room. The kitchen was my destination, but halfway there, I nearly ran into someone. Mabel. Ah shit! Guess the world won’t be all roses and sunshine today. She was standing in the hall
