Loraine’s POV

Alpha Hunter grunts as he rolls over, and I take the opportunity to scramble out of the bed and over to my closet at the same time, trying to reach Sasha with the phone, but her number keeps directing me to voicemail.

Fuck, fuck, fuck. I mutter over and over again.

I don’t know what has happened, but Sasha had sounded fucking scared over the phone. Why did she call me? Where was Beta Maddox? If there was trouble, why did he not try to reach the Alpha Brothers?

What the hell was going on?

Nothing makes sense. But it doesn’t matter. She is the only friend I’ve had since I came here, the only person whose feelings seemed sincere enough for me. Who liked me for who I was and wanted nothing in return?

I’m on my way, Sash. Just stay where you are till I come.

Hopefully, my prayers to whatever gods were listening will not go unheard, and they will keep Sasha safe till I find her. She’s my friend; if she needs me, then I’ll be getting my ass over there just to save h

Loraine’s POV After several tries, Sasha’s number finally goes through. The mountain of panic that had settled in my chest recedes a little. She’s fine. I tell myself. Panicked, but fine. We can work with that. Her voice sounds miserable, almost desperate. “I’m holding up in our bathroom. I don’t know how long before... The breath hitches, and I tell myself to calm down; panicking wouldn’t do her any good. “I’m trying to keep the fire away from here, but... its too much. I can’t reach Maddox. He was down on the first floor when I came up to shower.” Unconsciously, I grip the seat hard. A little too hard. “Okay. Okay, don’t panic. Alpha Hunter and the brothers are here, and there’s firefighters too. We’ll get you out of there.” even if it fucking kills me. She huffs, but it’s more of a sob. “God, I’m so scared. If something’s happened to Maddox—” I cut her off before she could finish the sentence. “He’s fine.” If he was anything but alive, she would have felt it, the bond would

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Cleaning A Mess

Loraine’s POV Killian led Sasha and me straight to one of the emergency vans to get checked out by a healer, and all my friends appeared. While Killian maintains his cold, detached expression, Alpha Hunter looks like he’s ready to scream about me running head first into danger but is to relieved I’m okay to berate me right now. Although he’s more pissed. Preston looks as though he’s struggling about what to do with me right now, but when my lips quirk into a shy smile, he lets down all his defences and just smiles back at me. Kris stays glued to me, burying his head in my neck. I don’t think he can even smell my scent through all the smoke that’s clinging to me. Sasha is devastated. Maddox is yet to be found—whether alive or dead—and she still cannot reach him through their link. Alpha Hunter cannot reach him either, and I’m hoping we don’t have to relieve the events of last month all over again. The fire is not likely to be extinguished soon, and Sasha does not want to take

  • Fated to Four Brothers    A Trap for Us

Loraine’s POV I want them all. All of my buddies. I want to have the chance to keep them all, and the thought alone is terrifying. Is it normal? Would they all want to be with me together? Do I run way rather than stay and choose? Which would be harder, choosing one and losing the rest or running away and choosing no one? Shit. I shouldn’t be thinking about that now that three of my friends are going on a rescue mission that might be a trap. But that's all I can think about. Alpha Hunter’s head is resting on mine. The tips of our noses are touching, and our lips are only inches away... if I just leaned in a bit. His smell is everywhere, hacking into my brains and senses. I know how important this mission is, but I don’t want to let him go. “Come back to me.” I push back the tears that are threatening the walls of my eyes. “Please. Come back.” His lips take mine, and I gasp at the intensity of the kiss he gives me. the promise in it. I’m swaying on my feet, and only his ha

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Test for Alphas

Loraine’s POV The test centre—or whatever it is being called—is a large room, built in the shape of a half moon. The floors are made of smooth, polished stone, and the seats look like they are made from the same earth as the stone. It is almost otherworldly. Most of the council members are already present, and others are still trooping in, and when their eyes land on us, they flash us a hard glare. I lean in to Sasha and whisper, “Are you sure we are allowed to be here? Those men look like they want to murder us.” Sasha shakes her head, glaring at them right back. “We’re fine. The old men are just being grouchy and looking for who to pour out all their anger on.” I lean back on my seat and narrow my eyes at her. Maybe she’s the one who’s looking to vent. Kris is in the centre of the stage, waiting for the council members to settle in and start with today’s test. I use that time to admire the motifs and adornments on the walls. They are portraits of previous Alphas; I recognise

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Winner Takes It All

Loraine’s POV After the game ends—Kris wins—it takes more than two hours of unbearable silence and anxiety before I can see him again. I lunge into his arms as soon as he comes in, throwing myself into his arms. He huffs but still holds on to me tight as though his life depends on it. I hug him back with the same fervor. I take a lungful of his scent, which has now mixed with blood, sweat, and dirt. “You look like shit.” I say with my face still buried into the nook of his neck. “I feel like shit.” Kris chuckles and pulls away from me. The chuckle turns into a throaty laugh when I try to continue pinning myself around his neck. “C’mon. We need to get home so I can wash up and change into something better. I’m sure I reek of rebels.” I scrunch my nose, pulling away reluctantly. “I’m not coming in here again. I’m not sure I can keep myself from going into the arena with you next time.” Kris laughs and slips his hand into mine, then leads us out to the entrance, where Sasha is

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Welcome Back,Mates

Loraine's POV I wake up with Kris still wrapped around me, and this is much more different from the other times I’ve woken up with him in bed. Different in an intimate way. Mostly because his hand is between my legs, thumbs stroking my throbbing clitter through the fabric of the pyjamas I’m wearing. I can feel his dickens—hard and pulsing—pressing against my ass. Kris groans, and I wiggle, grinding against him instinctively. Kris’ teeth are sharp as he bites down on my shoulder, drawing a gasp out of me before he eases up and kisses over the mark. “You know how much I want to mark you right now? I want to mark you in a place everyone can see so they can know that you are mine.” He says the word'mine’ with a growl. I giggle, completely out of my senses. He growls again, pinning my arm behind my back as he blows a hot breath on the mark his teeth have made on my neck. Goosebumps break out on every part of my body and my back arches, grinding my ass into his erection a little mo

  • Fated to Four Brothers    All About Timing

Loraine’s POV The day after tomorrow is Kris’ day of reckoning. The day the council will decide if he gets to be given his Alpha title like his Alpha brothers or if he isn’t worthy of it. From what I watched the other day though, I think Kris is ready enough, but then I don’t know what his other tests had been like or if he had done well in them. I’m sure he did. Fuck! He had killed and fought all four rebel wolves without a weapon and without the choice to change into his wolf. There was still a lot going on, though. We were still yet to figure out who the idiots were that were going around killing people, and now they had this new mind-fucking technology at their fingertips. Then the one person Maddox had managed to grab by some luck ended up dying on us without giving us any information. Fucking great. Kris pulls a face and leans back in his seat, still frustrated at how slow things were going when it was only two days to his big day. “At least we are all here. Complete

Loraine’s POV Alpha Hunter reaches out and grabs a hold of me, pulling me out of Preston’s arms into his. His mouth press into my hair, planting a kiss there as if he’s missed me all day. I’m sure he has. “What’s with the face?” Alpha Hunter says into my hair. “And I think I overheard you guys talking about Loraine’s wolf.” His arms around me tighten. “Is it true you’ve not done anything with your wolf?” “Yeah, besides shifting once. But I don’t think that really counts.” I grumble under my breath. I tighten my arms around him as much as his is around me and sigh. I take a moment to let myself soak up some of his strength, leaning on to the solid weight of him just as he lets me melt into him without a word of complaint. “We have to remedy that as soon as possible.” He says, and the brothers—except Killian—chord their approval. “That means you don’t know your strengths. Why have you never bothered about this?” I glance at Killian, who looks like he does not appreciate the dist

  • Fated to Four Brothers    The Aftermath

Loraine’s POV One year later Warm sunlight streamed through the curtains, waking me from the most peaceful sleep I could remember. I stretched lazily, my smile growing as I realized I wasn’t alone. Soft lips trailed along my shoulder, followed by a whisper. “Good morning, my love,” Hunter’s voice was low and husky, his breath tickling my ear. I turned my head, meeting his dark, playful eyes. “Morning,” I murmured, still groggy but already melting under his gaze. Before I could say more, I felt another hand slide across my waist. Preston’s familiar laugh filled the room. “You’re hogging her, Hunter. Move over.” I rolled over, finding him smirking at me, his blond hair adorably tousled. “Is this how every morning is going to start from now on?” I teased. “Only the best for our Luna,” Killian chimed in, leaning against the doorframe with a tray of coffee and pastries. “Breakfast in bed?” Kris appeared behind him, shaking his head. “You’re all going to spoil her.” Hunter smirked

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Waking up

Loraine’s POV The beeping of machines was the first thing I heard when I woke up. My body felt heavy, and every inch of me ached. I opened my eyes slowly, blinking against the harsh hospital lights. Familiar voices reached my ears, filled with worry and relief. “She’s waking up!” Preston’s voice cracked. I turned my head slightly to see him standing by my side, his eyes rimmed red as if he hadn’t slept in days. “Loraine,” Hunter whispered, his hand reaching out to gently touch mine. His usual confident demeanor was replaced by raw emotion. “You’re okay. You’re safe now.” Tears welled up in my eyes as I saw all four of them—Hunter, Preston, Killian, and Kris—hovering around me like protective sentinels. “What… what happened?” I croaked, my voice raspy. Killian knelt down beside me, brushing a strand of hair from my face. “You were kidnapped. The warriors that have been investigating it say that Gordon and Jennifer…” His jaw tightened, but he took a deep breath. “We found you ju

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Saving her

Hunter’s POV The abandoned warehouse the tracker led us to was ahead; its huge structure was sharp and terrifying against the night sky. The air was thick with tension, and my pulse roared in my ears as we pulled up to a screeching halt. Preston was the first to leap out, phone in hand, tracking Loraine’s location. “The signal ends here,” Preston said, his voice tight with worry. He turned the screen toward us. “She’s inside somewhere.” Kris gritted his teeth. “Let’s spread out. She could be hurt.” I grabbed his arm. “No one goes alone. If something happens, we’re stronger together, and I need every one of you alive, or else Loraine will kill me.” Gideon nodded in agreement, his face grim. “Hunter’s right. Split into pairs. Shout if you find anything.” We crept through the warehouse, every creak of the floorboards putting us on edge. I stuck close to Killian, my hand gripping the handle of my blade. The place reeked of rust and damp, but there was another smell too—blood. My st

  • Fated to Four Brothers    The Fear

Hunter’s POV The excitement we all felt was electric. The Lycan ball wasn’t just any event; it was monumental. This was the night that our pack would become an official capital for the Lycans. Tonight, we—Preston, Kris, Killian, and I—would also make our first public appearance as Loraine’s fiancés. And, if everything went as planned, this ball would pave the way for our wedding, set to happen immediately after. I tightened my cufflinks that had Lorraine's name on them and turned to Kris, who was fixing his tie in front of the mirror. “Do you think they’ll announce us as Loraine’s mates? Or do we just, you know, casually stroll in and let the stares do the work?” Kris smirked at my reflection. “Why stroll when you can strut? Let them talk. This is our moment.” Killian popped his head into the room, his shirt still unbuttoned, revealing a chiseled chest. “You’re all overthinking it. Loraine will steal the show the moment she walks in. We’re just accessories tonight.” “Speak for

  • Fated to Four Brothers    The ball!

Loraine’s POV The air buzzed with excitement as I stood in front of my vanity, smoothing my hands over the soft fabric of my gown. Tonight was the Lycans’ grand ball, an event so prestigious that even Sasha, who normally didn’t care for formalities, was squealing with excitement. Sasha burst into my room with Chloe trailing behind her, both carrying armfuls of dresses. “Loraine!” Sasha exclaimed, her eyes bright. “You have to help us pick! Chloe and I are determined to make an impression tonight.” Chloe giggled, holding up a shimmering silver gown against her small frame. “I heard the Lycan King himself might be there. Imagine if he notices one of us!” I chuckled, turning away from the mirror. “You two are acting like teenagers. What’s gotten into you?” Sasha placed her hands on her hips, mock glaring at me. “Excuse me, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime event. Lycans, Loraine. Lycans! Do you know how rare it is to even see one in person, let alone meet their king?” Chloe nodded

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Gordon’s Rage

3rd POV The tension between Alpha Gordon and Jennifer crackled in the air like a brewing storm. The two stood in the dense forest near the treeline, their voices echoing through the trees, harsh and biting. “You fucking bitch! You ruined everything!” Gordon snarled, his fists clenched tightly at his sides. His sharp, gray eyes glinted dangerously, a mix of fury and frustration. Jennifer folded her arms across her chest, her stance defiant. “First of all, watch your fucking mouth. I’m not your doormat. I ruined everything?” She shot back, her voice rising. “You’re the one who couldn’t let go of your ridiculous obsession with Loraine. If anything, I saved us from disaster by getting Mabel arrested.” “Mabel was our leverage, Jennifer!” Gordon growled, taking a threatening step forward. “She was the key to forcing Loraine back into my life. And now she’s rotting in a cell because of your betrayal!” Jennifer didn’t flinch. Instead, she took a step closer, her chin tilted upward in de

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Planning the wedding

Loraine’s POV This is the first time in what felt like years that my life didn't seem like a world-ending storm I had to constantly brace myself against. The past few weeks had been a whirlwind of emotions—betrayal, accusations, and finally, vindication. But now, as I sat in the sprawling living room of our shared home, surrounded by my mates—Preston, Hunter, Kris, and Killian—I felt something I hadn’t in a long time. Peace. Preston lounged on the couch next to me, one arm draped lazily across my shoulders. Hunter was sprawled out on the floor with a pile of papers he claimed were “strategic plans,” though he was doodling more than writing. Kris was in the kitchen, preparing what smelled like something delicious, while Killian sat across from me, polishing his sword like the ever-serious warrior he was. “So,” Hunter said, breaking the comfortable silence, “have we all agreed that the Lycan ball will be our moment to show off the fact that Loraine is officially ours?” I rolled my

  • Fated to Four Brothers    Arresting

Loraine’s POV I had never felt more powerless in my entire fucking life. The moment the crowd gathered around Mabel’s bleeding, sobbing form, their accusatory glares locked on me, it was over. My protests, my explanations—they were drowned out by her dramatic cries and the murmurs of the onlookers. The bitch had planned this very, very well. I was arrested on the spot. My four mates—Preston, Hunter, Kris, and Killian—could do nothing but watch as I was dragged away. Their eyes were full of desperation, but they knew as well as I did that they couldn’t interfere. The Lycan laws were absolute, and once the Council was involved, even Alphas had to comply. I sat in the dark, cold cell for what felt like an eternity, the walls closing in around me as I replayed the events in my mind. Mabel had outplayed me, and now I was being hauled to Lycan court, the very heart of justice for our kind, where Mabel’s uncle, Lord Arnold, presided. Of-fucking-course! He was a smug, greedy man who th

  • Fated to Four Brothers    More Chaos

Loraine’s POV I had gotten used to the crazy-ass chaos that now surrounded me, but recently, there was a strange stillness in the air. Freaking Firstly, our supposed psychopath, Mabel, the woman who had made my life unbearable, was quiet. Too quiet. It felt like the calm before a storm, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was coming. Her absence from my life—no pranks, no insults, no sudden confrontations—was unsettling. Every time I caught a glimpse of her, I noticed how distant she had become. She no longer tried to provoke me; instead, she seemed to be going about her life, almost as though she had forgotten about our past. I didn’t know what was worse—the fact that she had stopped tormenting me or the fact that I couldn’t figure out her angle. It was late in the evening when my phone buzzed, the screen lighting up with a message from Mabel. My heart skipped a beat as I read her words: “We need to talk. Meet me at the old barn, north of the pack. I have informatio
