Everything changed

***SCREAMING***

I jump up to the sound of my mother screaming like I've never heard before. 'Don't go out there! Run!' my head tells me but I open my bedroom door and freeze, unable to process what I am seeing, every light in the house is off, I could see the outline of my mom hovering over my father, the moonlight shining through the window onto her as she sobs. I can hear her breathing heavily between the sobs and sounds of desperation, her face turned up in fear and that's when I saw him? It? what was I seeing!? It stood like a man but larger than any man I had ever seen, claws like a beast and pointed ears like a dog, standing up like a man yet not a man, his eyes glowing amber when I see him slash down at my mom and hear a blood curdling scream and realize it was mine, it snapped it head towards me, making complete eye contact 'Run Chloe!!!! RUN NOW' and so I did, down the hall and out the back door, into the woods scared to death, not understanding what I just witnessed. 'Keep running Chloe, don't look back just keep going' my lungs were burning and my legs were fading but I just kept going, desperately trying to not look back but also ha ING no idea where I was running to. Scared and completely alone, no shoes, feeling my feet getting torn apart but I didn't care, the pain wasn't there, it was in my heart. Running and running until suddenly I hear something running towards me, my breathing heavy and I start to feel dizzy when I'm grabbed from behind. I screamed but barely anything was actually coming out, thrashing around and hitting trying to get away from what was holding onto me so tightly, scared out of my mind, tears rolling down my face as I got weaker and weaker. then I heard him.

"Hey, hey! Try and calm down, who are you? What happened to you? Where did you come from?"

Terrified I slowly stopped moving and opened my eyes, my vision blurry from the tears and cold slamming into them as I was running. I saw his face, his beautiful face. Startled, I looked all around us in a panic, it was so dark, everywhere I looked, moon beams barley making it through the thickness of the trees around us, looking back at him, his blue eyes shining bright, 'Wow, look at him, he's perfect Chloe. Oh no, down pass out now, I want to keep staring into those eyes, those perfect eyes' Mext thing I knew everything went black.

When I woke up, I was in a white room, looked like a hospital, but different at the same time. perfectly white all around, monitors hooked up to me but the bed was a full size comfortable bed and there was a flat screen TV on the wall and what looked like a leather couch. 'Fancy hospital huh? Wow this place it nice, but way to bright for my liking' I laugh a little before everything that happened comes rushing back to me and I feel my anxiety reaching an all time high.

The door opens and in walks a doctor, I assume due to the lab coat and stethoscope around their neck. She looked to be about 25 though and absolutely beautiful, long chestnut hair, blue eyes, and absolutely flawless skin. She looked up from her clipboard and smiled "Oh thank goodness you are awake. I was beginning to worry, you have been asleep here for two days. I'm Doctor Anabel Richardson but you can call me Anabel." She handed me a glass of water and I drank some before trying to finally speak "Chloe" I said but I came out course and I started to cough. She smiled and told me not to worry and that I was being taken care of. I finally was able to clear my throat and asked "How did I get here? and where exactly is here?"

"Well Chloe you were brought in by someone from our community, he found you running and looking terrified and you passed out so he carried you here, to me" I was stunned, did I manage to run towards town without realizing? I mean how else would someone have seen me unless close to town right? But I remember darkness, no break in the trees around around us, then I remembered those eyes, those perfect blue eyes looking down at me. I was thoroughly stunned by the situation. Anabel could clearly see my mind working on overdrive and finally asked "What happened to you? Why were you out in the woods with barely any clothes on, no shoes, and frightened?"

I stared down at the blanket on me, scanning the room and seeing my pajamas over on a little table, torn apart from the branches I had run into. I finally looked up to her with great fear in my eyes and said "A beast, something evil, was in my home, my mom, OMG MY MOM!!! she was screaming and he slashed down at her while she covered my dad! Omg MY parents!! They can't be dead right!? They have to be okay, I need to go home, I need to find them!" I started to panic and rip everything off of me 'Chloe stop! They are gone Chloe, I am so sorry, but they are gone!' 'No! they can't be gone! omg I shouldn't have run, I should have stayed with them!' 'No Chloe, you had to run, there was no other choice, he would have killed you too if you had stayed, please understand. you had to run, you had to get away' I shake my head tears falling down my face, I notice Anabel holding me, or wait, this isn't Anabel, she standing there staring wide eyed at me. I look to see who is holding me down and it's him, those blue eyes looking into mine, so much concern in those eyes, I calmed down, his touch calms me, I feel my anxiety fluttering away at his touch. "It's okay, you are safe here, please, stay still, I don't want you hurt anymore than you already are, please calm down" he brushes the hair out of my face and I just stare at him in awe.
