Chapter Three - Birthday

The burning light of the sun woke me up. My senses were heightened especially my hearing. After the transformative experience I'd undergone, there was no doubt my strength had surged twofold. I could feel the newfound power coursing through my veins like liquid lightning.

As I allowed my curious gaze to wander around, I found myself inside a room I was not familiar with.

It bathed in the refreshing aroma of mint and lemon. The scents intermingled, creating a deliciously invigorating atmosphere. This is my mate’s room.

I was about to stand when a muscular arm stopped me as it possessively wrapped around my chest and waist.

“Oh? You’re awake baby?” I heard Ethan mumbling beside me, which made my wolf whimpered in excitement. She was so happy to be right next to our mate.

What happened next surprised me when he pulled me to sit on top of him, I almost moaned because of the warmth radiating on his toned body, “Sarina baby, it has been a while. You have finally come of age. Happy birthday."

Ethan was caressing my cheeks and his other hand was on my thighs when I decided to move away from him.

I felt like I was about to come immediately and it was crazy because we weren’t even doing anything! “Y-You’re back…thank you.” I blurted out the obvious.

“We are back! We have missed you and to think…you have come of age, you finally know you are our mate.” He beamed before standing up to approach me.

I licked my lower lip after seeing him topless and only wearing gray jogger pants where his hardness was bulging. It seemed like he was pleased to see that I was checking him out, which embarrassed me for a moment.

Ethan already looked so fine before but he looked way even more mature now probably because he has reached his twenties.

His chestnut locks danced in charming disarray, his body looked like it was favored by the heavens above, and he was extremely fit.

Yet, what truly captured my heart were his eyes, a brilliant silver, like twin pools of liquid moonlight. They didn't just gaze, they ensnared, effortlessly pulling my soul into their silvery depths.

But then, what he said made me squint my eyes, “You knew way before that I was your mate?” I confusingly asked.

He nodded, “Well yeah, we turned eighteen years ago, we can smell you but we didn’t tell you or anyone unless you come of age.”

“But forget about that.” He approached me swiftly and cornered me in the walls with his arms, his brown eyes switching to black, “I want a good morning kiss from my beautiful, alluring mate.”

I was about to say that I hadn’t brushed my teeth yet when he crashed his lips against mine. I felt my whole body surge with want and decided to respond to him.

His hardness was poking my thighs and that made things extra intense as I felt my knees wobbling because of the arousing warmth. I gasped when he hoisted me up and pushed himself in between my legs.

The hardness of his shaft was on my core while he was showering me with warm, tempting kisses. It melted every fiber that was woken up with what we did. I felt like we might go further when I pulled away from the passionate kisses, catching my breath.

“God, you taste so good. I have missed you so bad.” He grunted before gently putting me down. Ethan was too tall, like almost 6.5 feet. I wanted to scold myself because my eyes kept staring at that huge bulge.

“Do you want to touch it, baby?” He playfully asked, which made me gasp before shaking my head because he noticed it. How embarrassing!

He laughed heartily because of my reaction while patting my head, “I’m just kidding, shall we go to class together today or do you want to rest because your transformation just happened hours ago?”

My eyes widened when I realized that I hadn’t come back to the party last night, my friends were probably worried!

“I have to go to class Ethan, my friends are probably worried about me! I-I didn't get to blow my cake.” I nervously told him as I tried to look for my stuff, especially my phone.

“I told them you were with me when they called, everything is good.” He smiled, making me sigh in relief before massaging my head, “Here’s your phone and we can blow your cake later!”

“Oh, thanks!” I beamed before taking it from his hands to check. I groaned when I noticed that there were a lot of text messages and calls.

I still can’t believe that I am mates with the twins, everything is too much to handle right now but I have to go to class. Screw the pain I’m still feeling, I need to process my thoughts.

“We should go to class, can I borrow some clothes here?” I asked but then realized they were all men living here, “Sorry, I forgot that—”

“Sure, it’s in your room, you see, we had this prepared when we realized you were our mate.” He held onto my hands and dragged me to this enormous room that was lavender and cream in color combination.

Everything I needed was there, a study table, a walk-in wardrobe, and a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi, bathtub, and shower. I am not sure why I am surprised to see those amenities. These twins are billionaires after all, “From now on, you are going to live here with us.”

“W-What? Everything is going too fast, can you please give me some time to think about it?” I requested but he shook his head.

“I can’t bear a night without knowing you are inside our properties, so to keep my wolf calm, you need to be here with us.” He firmly said.

“Unless you would always want me to sneak inside your dorm room to check on you all the time?” He playfully raised his eyebrows.

I felt the pressure rising to my chest because he was leaving me with no option to choose from, “F-Fine I will stay here, but I will set some rules after classes are over.”

Ethan happily cheered and waited for me to get ready for class. After I was done, we went downstairs and saw that the former Alpha was drinking his brewed black coffee on the dining table while reading some morning newspaper.

He raised his gaze after noticing our presence, “Ah, Sarina, how are you? Happy birthday.” He genuinely smiled, and his dimples revealed themselves. They all remembered my birthday.

Now I get why the twins looked extremely gorgeous, it's in their genes. “ Thank you! I am well, Mr. Elon. I’m so glad to see you again.”

I approached him before bowing. I heard him chuckling so I raised my gaze, “You don’t have to be so formal, after all, you are the future Luna of this pack.”

My eyes widened because he knew that before looking at Ethan. He playfully winked which made my heart skip a beat. God, how can someone look this hot in the morning?!

“Your transformation might’ve tired you out, stay at home to rest. It might get worse later.” Mr. Elon casually suggested. 

Ethaniel agreed with him while raising his thumbs, “That’s what I told her, but she is too stubborn for me to handle.” 

I shook my head before smiling, “I will feel more tired if I do not do anything, I am good!” 

Mr. Elon only nodded and chuckled after seeing his son’s suddenly grumpy face, “Don’t scare your mate with your possessiveness, Ethaniel.” 

Ethan complained and dragged me out of there, he was growling because of his worry about my well-being. Or maybe because his father’s words worried him.

“Hey, if I am not feeling well, I will tell you,” I reassured him, that my wolf does not want him to feel that way. It even wanted to kiss him just to make sure he was feeling okay.

This whole bond thing made me feel something new. It was like I was reborn, even my heart. Is this what Paul felt back then when he found his mate? I clenched my fists at my thoughts. I should stop this.

He looked at me while we were walking towards his car, his silver eyes sparkling like the night star, “You promise?” 

“Promise.” I gently nudged his sides, “Now let’s go, I don’t want to be late for any classes, you know that.”

Ethan attractively saluted before opening the car door for me. I wasn’t even surprised that it was the latest model that Ferrari released.

On the way to the university, I couldn’t help but think about his older brother, Elijah. He was not home, I didn’t smell him. Where could he be?

After we arrived at the university, he ran out of the driver’s seat as fast as he could to open the door for me, making me giggle.

“There you go baby, from now on, you will just sit and be pretty.” He playfully winked, making my heart flutter but I shook my head.

"I wish we could've just spent your birthday today." He held onto my hands tightly, "You can still change your mind." 

I shook my head, "We can celebrate my birthday tomorrow because it's the weekend. I have quizzes to attend to today."

Ethan only pouted and dragged me towards the campus. I just then realized that numerous curious, darting eyes were on us.

I am sure that he could feel those gazes but it seemed like he was ignoring everyone as he was happily walking down the hallways with his hands on mine. I finally remembered how carefree he was back then, he didn’t change at all.

“The Alphas are back! And they found their Luna!” I heard someone screaming on the right of the hallways, making everyone gasp in surprise.

I suddenly got nervous because I was sure the rumors would spread like wildfire. Everyone will have their eyes on me from now on.

Before I completely succumbed to my negative thoughts, someone approached us. It was my friends together with the beta of the pack, Eon Theodore.

“Hey there and…woah! Sarina! You changed a lot!” Eon exclaimed before wrapping his hands around my shoulders, “You looked mature now! Happy birthday!”

Ethan harshly pushed him away before growling slowly, “It seems like you have a death wish, don’t just casually touch her.”

Alison’s mouth gape wide open before gasping, “So it’s true!” She cupped her mouth to contain her excitement, “Oh my goodness! This is wild!” 

On the far corner of the hallways, I could feel someone shooting intense glares at us. When I shifted my gaze to check where that was, my heart stopped.

It was Paul with his mate and friends. It was the first time they looked at me after a week of what happened between us, it also seemed like they were surprised to see me.

Paul was only looking at me while holding his mate’s hand. His eyes held a hint of unexplainable rage. For some reason, that made me feel happy.

I should not feel that, but I did. I flinched when someone gripped my hands tightly. I realized that Ethaniel was looking at Paul before staring back at me.

He wanted to ask some questions but he couldn’t blurt it out for some reason, making my wolf curious and worried about what he felt.

The bell rang and my friends immediately grabbed me away from him, “Alright! We need to go to class! Let’s not be late!”

“W-Wait—I will see you at lunch, baby.” Ethan suddenly smiled before kissing my forehead. A lot of werewolves cheered, including my friends after seeing that, making me feel really embarrassed.

Alison and Oliver then dragged me towards the garden which was weird, “I thought we were going to class? I am going to be late.”

“We checked a while ago, your professor will not be present today. And duh! It's still your birthday, chill out!” Alison playfully winked, making me chuckle.

“So spill the tea girl! Don’t keep us waiting here! I am about to explode here with all the rumors we have been hearing! I need details!” Oliver rolled his eyes, he was too impatient, just like always. They’re desperate to hear everything.

I then told them everything that had happened when I left the party to go to the cliff to complete my transformation.

Their curious eyes were twinkling like stars, it seemed like my dull life had become more interesting to them.

“This is really wild! To think, you are the future Luna of the pack and have these two hot, dazzling men on this campus! Ahh!” Alison squealed while hitting my shoulders.

“If you were me, I would have difficulty rejecting them if you’re still with your ex. I mean duh? They’re moon goddess sent!” Oliver rolled his eyes, making us all stop.

“O-Oh, right, are you fine? Paul was looking at you a while ago, what’s your plan?” Alison curiously asked.

They had these concerned gazes lingering in their eyes. I am sure that they’re just worried about me because I just came from a fresh break up.

I bit my lower lip before sighing deeply, “One thing is for sure, Paul is out of my life forever after what he did to me.”

“That cheating bastard will never have this rare jewel he just lost.” I pointed to myself.

My friends grinned as if they were proud of me, “Good! I thought we needed to lecture you from how you looked at Paul a while ago.”

I rolled my eyes, “Well, I don’t really care about him anymore but the way he looked a bit angry a while ago made me feel happy, his ego was crushed because I am mates with the Alphas.”

“It was satisfying as hell!” I screamed.

Alison and Oliver laughed out loud at my statement, clapping their hands like maniacs that escaped a mental hospital.
