Tom’s POV
As the waiter nicely put the drinks we ordered on the table, I looked at Kiara's shocked face. I loved the way I could make her feel afraid and curious, I loved being unpredictable in front of the people around me, especially in front of Kiara, she was my spot. The waiter left."So, why did you take me here?" My doll asked."Good question, you started with." I smiled "Do you like it?"She looked around "Yes, I love this place, we could've stayed at home to talk, so I didn't have to dress like this. But really, this place is breathtaking!" Kiara said."Thank you." I took a sip of my whiskey."Is it yours?" she asked surprised."Yes, of course. I own almost every place in here." I put my cup back on the table."Very impressive, I would say." she said, taking the menu to have a look at it."The reason I took you here is to talk about the marriage."Kiara, who was previously engrossed in the menu, suddenly shifted her focus towards me with an air of eagerness. As she locked eyes with me, I couldn't help but feel a wave of excitement wash over me, signalling the start of an engaging conversation."What about it?" she said."We will marry at the end of the year. I want to give you some time to get used to your new life. But don't forget that you are mine! You can't see anyone or talk to anyone, that I don't know about. Any questions?""Why do you have to know everything about me, but I don't know anything about you?" Kiara asked."Okay, then." I leaned my back on the chair and crossed my hand in front of my chest. "Ask.""Tell me about your life, since you know mine. Tell me about your plans or family, maybe work." she insisted. "But first let me get something to eat, I'm starving."I smiled and called the waiter. She ordered her meal and so did I."Now. Tell me." she said excitedly. At times, I found it difficult to understand her behaviour towards me. There were moments when she appeared to despise me, and then suddenly, she would switch her attitude and treat me like her own sibling. It was confusing."Okay." I began "I don't have any other siblings but Vincent. I can't tell you about my work, first, it is none of your business, second, I really can't tell you."She rolled her eyes "Of course, you can't. Anyway and?"I felt increasingly frustrated by her behaviour. Every time we talked, she managed to push my buttons and try to get under my skin. I couldn't tell her that I was stalking her ex-boyfriend and trying to find out about those words she told me the other day or the people I sent to follow him. I couldn't tell her that I planned to ruin his life if he had done anything to hurt her."I plan on making you my wife and having a family with you." I finished my whiskey. She looked at me with a disgusted face "I'd rather die than have a family with you." she said."Oh, truly? Should I get my gun, already?" I looked and admired her shocked and scared face. Then I leaned across the table and whispered "That's what I thought. Because like it or not, I will be the one. The one to touch you, love you, hate you, fuck you or even kill you."She left a slight gasp and looked me in the eyes "I hate you." she said.I smiled and leaned back in my seat.As we sat at the restaurant waiting for our food, the waiter arrived with our meals. He placed my order in front of Kiara, and hers in front of me. As Kiara reached out to grab her plate, she accidentally bumped into her glass, causing it to tip over and fall off the table. She quickly became flustered and looked at me with a nervous expression, worried that she might have caused a scene. The glass shattered on the floor, and a few pieces of ice flew out onto the carpet.''I'm very sorry, let me fix it.'' She crouched down to clean up the broken glass on the floor.I got on the floor next to her and grabbed her hands into mine. ''Hey, it's okay. Calm down.''Her face turned red ''No, I really should've been more careful.''I grabbed her face, so I could gaze at her frightened face ''Don't worry, it's nothing.''I called the waiter for assistance. He immediately rushed over to our table and offered to help clean up the mess. In an attempt to make things right, he also kindly offered to bring Kiara another drink. After the situation was resolved, we got back to our seats. While I adjusted my tie, I couldn't help but wonder why Kiara reacted so strongly to such a simple accident. It dawned on me that something must have been triggering Kiara's fear. Perhaps something damaging had occurred in her past that still affected her today. I knew I needed to find out more about what was going on, but it didn't feel appropriate to ask her about it right away. I decided to wait for the right moment to approach the topic with her.''Are you okay now, little bird?'' I asked.''Yes, I just got worried because...'' her hand gently moved up to the back of her neck, fingers kneading the skin lightly. I couldn't help but notice that this was a habit of hers, one that she seemed to do whenever she was feeling particularly worried, scared, or deep in thought. It was as if the act of massaging her neck provided her with some comfort, a small sense of control in a world that often felt unpredictable. ''It's that this place is very beautiful and I just, thought that this could have ruined the carpet.'' she lied.''This is the last thing that you had to be worried about at that moment.'' I said. ''You could've cut yourself.''She nodded in agreement, but her body language suggested otherwise. Sensing that something was amiss, I decided to wait and observe. A few minutes later, she slowly began to eat her food, and I followed suit. As she ate, her face started to relax, and her breathing became more even. It was obvious that she was trying to calm herself down.Given her heart problems, I was concerned about her well-being. I kept a watchful eye on her, making sure she was okay. It was important for me to ensure that she was not experiencing any discomfort or undue stress. As she finished her meal, her facial expression returned to normal, and she appeared to be more relaxed. I was relieved that everything seemed to be fine, and I could tell that she was feeling better. She nodded and soon she began to eat her food, as so as I. Her face slowly got back to normal and she calmed herself. My only mission at the moment was to make sure she was okay, especially with her heart problems. After we were done, we left my restaurant.''You drank whiskey you can't drive.'' she said.''I'm a mafia boss, remember?'' I laughed.''I'm not going.'' she crossed her hands ''I'm not risking my life because you are a mafia boss with a big ego, you can't get over.''''And the normal Kiara is back'' I picked her up "Come on, little one.''''No, put me down!'' she begged.I opened the door and put her in the car. Then I sat on my seat.''Seatbelt.'' I reminded, adjusting mine.''I know what to do, Tom. I'm not first grade.'' she argued.''Good then.'' I began driving. As I attempted to engage her in conversation, she remained silent and gazed out the window, lost in her thoughts. I decided to drive at a normal speed, taking my time to navigate the roads, allowing for a peaceful and smooth ride. In an effort to break the silence, I turned on the car radio, filling the empty space with some background noise, hoping it would ease any awkwardness or tension.''Hey Tom?'' she finally spoke out.''Yes, little bird?'' I looked at her for a second, then turned to the road again.''What happened with the first waiter, why didn't he come back?'' she asked, looking at me.''He got what he deserved for looking at my future wife like that.'' I shortly answered.Of course, I was not going to tell her how I went into the kitchen and grabbed the guy from the back of his working uniform. Next, I threw him on the floor in the basement, then I slowly began to write ''she is mine'' with my knife on his leg, admiring the pain it caused him. Lastly, I shot him with my favourite gun for idiots like him and got back to Kiara as if nothing happened. After we arrived at our house, I made sure Kiara stayed in her room.''Be ready for dinner.'' I said.''I won't come, I ate enough.'' she replied.''That wasn't a question.'' I closed the door and went into my office to get some work done.Kiara’s POV As soon as Tom left my room, not letting me speak for myself again, I immediately went to remove all of that makeup from my face and put something I could finally feel like myself in. I put my hair up into a messy bun, so it didn't distract me. Soon, Valentina came to check on me. ''Hey, Ki. What's up?'' she came with the biggest smile on her face and I already knew what she was going to ask me ''How'd it go, babe.'' she smirked.I rolled my eyes ''Nothing happened, we just talked. That's all.'' I cleaned the mess I made while I was getting ready ''Our waiter was giving me looks'' I grabbed one cloth ''Then Tom disappeared for a moment'' I folded it ''And then, the waiter was gone the whole time and when I asked Tom about it - he said that he just put him on his place.'' I looked at her and noticed that her jaw dropped on the floor. ''No way.'' she refused to believe. I nodded and continued to fold clothes. ''Is that all? Nothing else?'' she said disappointed.''Not a
Tom’s POV I went back into my office after I made sure that my doll was okay. I opened the laptop sitting on my wooden desk and unlocked the camera for Kiara's room. I looked at her angel face imagining what I could do to her. She was mine, there was nowhere she could hide, I owned her. I loved the idea of her being my toy and prey. I went downstairs to the kitchen. I saw Valentina sitting on the chair, crying. I went to the section with drinks and got one whiskey, then poured it into a cup, watching Valentina curiously.''Is everything alright?'' I asked grabbing an apple from the fruit bow in the middle of the table. She tried to wipe the smudged mascara from her face ''Yeah, I'm fine.'' ''May I ask what happened?'' I sat on the chair in front of her. She rolled her eyes ''Just a stupid argument with Vince.'' she wiped one tear, falling from her face ''He probably has told you that I have a problem.'' she continued. ''No, he hasn't told me anything.'' I said. ''Oh, well I can'
Kiara’s POVI woke up early in the morning since I fell asleep very early last night compared to when I usually go to bed. It was still dark outside. I opened the big window in the middle of my room to feel the cold, fresh air entering my bedroom. I went into the bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth. Then I made my messy hair into something acceptable and put on some leggings with a sweater on top. I tried to dress up as comfortably as I could in the house since I couldn't do it outside anymore. I went downstairs to make myself a cup of coffee and something to eat but when I entered I saw Valentina, sleeping on the chair with a cup of scotch in her hand. I got scared and quickly walked to her. Then, I rubbed her shoulder to try to wake her up. "Hey, Val. Come on, let me help you walk to your bedroom." I quietly said to not scare her while she was still sleepy. She looked around with her red eyes "What happened?" she asked. "I don't know, but everything is okay." As I notic
Tom’s POV Kiara stared at her phone screen for a brief moment, and without warning, her hands began to tremble uncontrollably. Her eyes welled up with tears, and she struggled to maintain her composure. The sight or message on her phone had clearly struck a deep and emotional chord within her, leaving her visibly shaken and distressed.“Little bird, are you alright?" I asked her. She didn't respond. Kiara was completely engrossed in her phone, completely oblivious to her surroundings. It was as though nothing else existed in the world except for the device in her hand. As I looked into Kiara, her eyes met mine, she was still completely silent. Her gaze was fixed on me as if she was silently pleading for help or perhaps just a deeper understanding. It was an intense moment, and the silence between us was almost palpable. Despite the lack of words, I could sense that something was troubling her deeply, and I wanted to do anything I could to offer comfort or support. I looked at her "
Kiara’s POV As the days passed, I found myself trapped inside this house for a month. I felt suffocated and restless, craving to leave this place. However, there was no way out, and I was stuck here. The situation had become unbearable, and I couldn't continue living without anything to do. Moreover, I had some important belongings from my apartment that I needed to retrieve.I grabbed my jacket and put the new phone that Tom had bought for me inside since I had broken my old one in front of him. I was very proud of what I did, I loved doing the opposite of what he told me to do. I reached for the key from my old apartment that I had hidden away. I put my hair in a low messy bun to not bother me. When I was finally ready I went downstairs. I didn't want anyone who was in this building to know where I lived, so I had to find a way to leave without drawing attention to myself. I had to make one of the bodyguards give me the keys to one of the cars. I went outside and saw a tall, muscu
Tom’s POV I parked my Audi in front of her apartment - I knew everything about her, it was obvious where she was since there was nowhere she could have gone. I walked in and went up the stairs. I was furious, she did it again! Even after I warned her and told her not to repeat her mistake she fucking did. This girl was seriously getting on my nerves, I wasn't sure how long I was going to be that patient with her. She was the only person that was not doing what I said which was the thing that was mostly making me angry. She was my prey, she had to listen to what I said. When I walked to the door of her apartment, I didn't even think of knocking, I broke in with all of my strengths which caused the door to break. I saw Kiara standing in front of me with a bag on her shoulder, looking at me. She was scared, as she should. I went to her and grabbed her arm, I pushed her into the wall. "What the fuck did you think you are doing?" I yelled "What have I told you about this? Wasn't I clear
Kiara's POVAfter taking a much-needed break of an hour and a half, I began the arduous task of cleaning my room. It had been neglected for two weeks, and the state of my room reflected that – clothes strewn across the floor, makeup cluttering my desk, and books and my laptop haphazardly placed on my messy bed. I first started by meticulously folding the clothes and placing them back into the dresser, attempting to bring a semblance of order to the chaotic space. As I moved to the dressing room, the disarray was even more pronounced. I embarked on the mission of organizing the jumble of items, carefully arranging my clothes in the drawers and retrieving the miscellaneous items from the island and the floor. After triumphing in the dressing room, I focused on restoring order to my perfume and glasses collection, each item finding its rightful place. Moving on, I tackled the bed, removing the sheets and setting them aside by the exit door as a visual cue to address later. I replaced the
Tom's POV "I implore you, sir! She approached me and mentioned that you had granted her permission to depart." the bodyguard, who was on the verge of being fired, pleaded desperately. As I listened to him, I reflexively nodded and pasted on a smile, feeling increasingly irritated by the nonsensical things spewing from his mouth. "Fred, let me clear up some things for you since you can not use your brain. Kiara came to you and said that I gave her permission..."I released a small laugh, seemingly mocking him "Come on, buddy, you've worked for me for 10 years. Do you really think I wouldn't have told you if I had given her approval to leave the mansion?" I asked. Fred gazed down at my feet, his silence speaking volumes. It was clear that he understood I was speaking the truth. This man had been a loyal and dedicated member of my team for years, one of my most trusted employees. However, circumstances had shifted, and my trust was gone. "It was great to have you on my securit
Kiara's POV I stepped into the house, the cool silence of the kitchen wrapping around me like a thick blanket. The glass of water I poured seemed to do little to ease the tightness in my chest, the unease gnawing at the edges of my thoughts. Why would Tom let his people do such a thing? The question circled in my mind, unanswered, as his actions played out repeatedly in my head. What was he trying to prove? He wanted me to be one of them—one of those soldiers, obedient and silent, trapped in his web of control. But I wasn’t one of them, and he knew that. His efforts to break me only pushed me farther away, showing me the kind of person he truly was—a man to be feared, not trusted. I couldn’t understand what he thought he could win, but I could feel the weight of his power pressing down on me, reminding me that in his world, submission was the only choice.I turned to put the cup of water back in the sink, but the moment I moved, I saw him—Tom—standing just inches away from me. His pr
Tom's POVAs soon as the clock struck two hours after I dropped Kiara off at her old apartment, a rush of urgency surged through me. I climbed into my car, the engine roaring to life, and pressed the accelerator, desperate to reach her. The thought of her wandering out there without me consumed my mind, igniting a wild mix of anger and anxiety within me. Although I had dispatched my bodyguards to keep an eye on her, I couldn’t shake the feeling of mistrust. I had learned the hard way that relying on others often led to disappointment. Life felt like an endless nightmare, indifferent to our struggles, relentlessly pushing and tearing us down. Yet amidst this chaos, I understood one crucial truth: I held the reins of my own destiny. It was within my power to tip the scales for better or worse. In the grand tapestry of existence, we’re faced with choices at every turn, and how we navigate those choices is entirely up to us. The weight of that realization settled on me - I was my saviour
Kiara's POVPhone rings''Yes?'' I said, putting on my red lipstick.''Hey, Ki. I've almost finished work, are you ready?"''Yes, I-'' Fuck, she doesn't know about this. ''I have to... I spilled coffee on my shirt, I have to pick a new one, I'll call you later.'' I couldn't tell her I no longer lived in this apartment on the phone. I hung up and grabbed my Birkin. As I made my way downstairs, I caught sight of Tom standing there, his gaze fixed on me with an intensity that made my heart race. His eyes sparkled with admiration, and I could sense a flicker of desire simmering beneath the surface. A warm rush of satisfaction washed over me; I had anticipated this reaction all along, which was precisely why I had chosen to dress in such an alluring way. The fabric hugged my curves, and with each step, I could feel the weight of his attention, a silent affirmation of my effect on him. I loved that.As I approached him, his look started to change into a more serious face. "You are not going
Kiara's POVWhen I woke up this morning, the first thing I did was reach for my phone, and my thoughts were already on the day ahead. Without wasting a moment, I texted Lana, asking her when were and where we planning to meet, eager to finalize my plans.Within minutes, Lana replied, suggesting we meet at 3 p.m. in front of my apartment- well, my old apartment, to be exact. She said that she had some plans for the evening, so she wanted to see me earlier. Once we were together, she said, we could figure out where to go from there. It felt strange, knowing I'd be waiting in front of a place that used to be mine until Tom came into my life, but I pushed the thought aside and focused on our upcoming plans.I made my way to Tom's office, ready to update him on the schedule. As I reached his door I paused for a moment before knocking. After a few seconds, the door swung open, revealing Tom standing there, dressed casually yet still polished enough for a work setting. His eyes met mine, and
Kiara's POV After Tom's warning, I didn't feel particularly phased. I wasn't feeling up for an argument, so I opted to stay silent. I was aware that he was convinced I wouldn't heed his advice. It wasn't my intention to provoke his anger; I was acting based on my own frustration at the time.At the moment I was getting ready to settle in for the night, the sound of my phone ringing interrupted the quiet. When I glanced at the screen, I noticed that it was Lana calling. I finally answered the phone because we hadn't spoken in weeks and I felt like it was important to catch up."Hey, Lana. What's up?" I spoke. "Hi, Kiki!" Ever since we were children, she has affectionately referred to me by that nickname. It has always been her preferred way of addressing me. "I just wanted to check in with you to make sure everything is all right. It feels like it's been ages since I last heard from you.""Oh!" I was hesitant to share any details with her because I was afraid it would only lead to he
