Chloe POV

“Are you kidding me?" I said, with my voice shaking with anger. "I can't believe you would do this to me, Mom."

My mom sighed and sat down across me with a sad look in her eyes. "I'm sorry, Chloe," she said. "I know this isn't what you wanted, but it's for the best."

"For the best?" I repeated, her with my voice dripping with sarcasm. "How is an arranged mated marriage to a man I know nothing about for the best?" I Questioned her with my voice covered with disgust.

"You'll get to know him," mom said, trying to sound reassuring. "He's a good man. I've met him and his family, and they're very respected in the other pack. You'll be well taken care of."

"I don't care about being well taken care of," I said, with my voice rising. "I want to choose who I get mated to. I want to be with someone I love."

"Love?" mom repeated, a skeptical look on her face. "What do you know about love?”

“Love made me loose my families!!”

“Love made me loose my kids.”

“Love made everybody hate me.”

“Love made almost cost me my life.”

“All because I fell in love with your dad.”

“The moment I fell in love with your dad, my life turn from a happy girl to a depressed girl.”

“You know the cause of everything?” Mom questioned me and I didn’t bother to answer her.

“It was because I took a decision to myself, my parents insisted on finding me a mate but I disagree and took decisions into my hands.”

“I ran away with your dad and that was how my bright future run away from me also.”

“And here you are telling me that you want to fall in love and choose your mate by yourself.

“Over my dead body will I allow that to happen.” Mom thundered and I couldn’t help but shift back in fear.

“Mom please!!!!, falling in love with the wrong person doesn’t define my love life,”

“I know that falling in love with dad is a wrong decision that destroyed your life but that doesn’t mean my life is going to be destroyed if I fall in love with my mate.”

“Please I just want you allow me fall in love and experience what love is, instead of pushing me into mateship that there is no love.” I pleaded with her.

“There is no love doesn’t mean that you are not going to fall in love with him.”

“And if I may remember something, parents are not allowed to choose mate for their kids unless the kid doesn’t find a mate,” I stated and she gave me a glare.

“If I may remember also, you’re 21 and you don’t have a mate so i have every right to choose a mate for you.” She added.

“I don’t want to fall in love with anybody except my mate.” I argued.

“I give you my full assurance Chloe, immediately you set your eyes on him!!, you’ll end up falling for him. Mom said with her fake assurances.

“I don’t want your assurance mom, I am an adult and I can make my own decision, I don’t want you to make a decision for me about my love life.” I stated almost at the verge of tears.

“I am your mother and I have every right to make a decision for you Chloe,” she snarled at me.

“Does that mean you’re forcing me into getting mated to someone I don’t know about?” I questioned her with a shaky voice.

“If that is what you classify it as then so be it,” she replied me without any feeling of guilt.

“I thought the moon goddess blessed me with the best mother, i never knew that I was blessed or should I say cursed with a selfish werewolf as my mother.”

“I know very well that those pity story of yours was formed by you, none of them are real but you choose to brain wash me with it so that I can feel pity and get mated to a total stranger.” I said as tears fall freely from

“Are you that blinded with titleship that you didn’t care about your daughter ?” I questioned her with a shaky voice.

“Wash your tongue child, I will not watch you talk to me in that manner.” She voiced outt.

“If you don’t want me to talk to you in that manner then allow me pick the man of my dreams by myself.” I shouted at the top of my voice.

“For how long will I have to wait for you to chose the man of your dreams?, you’re already getting older Chloe!!!!.”

“I’m just 21 mom!!, please just allow me make this decision myself., I promise to come home with my mate.” I said to her.

“You just have a week to bring your mate to me, if I wait after a week and I didn’t see any mate then you leave me with no other option,”

“What option mom?” I questioned her.

“If you refuse to bring a mate before the finishing of the week then get ready for your mating ceremony” Mom dropped the bomb shell.

I looked at her and let out a loud scoff

“Watch me disappoint you.” I said to her as pick up my bag pack and I walked out of the kitchen.

“I hope the moon goddess grant me my heart desire because I can’t survive getting mated with someone I know nothing about.”

“Where to my Luna.” My personal driver asked me and i let out a loud scoff.

“Where else would I be going in the morning if not class?, or don’t tell me you are too dumb not to notice that.” I snarled at him.

“I’m so sorry my Luna.” He apologized bowing his head slightly.

“Keep those apologies to yourself, I don’t need them,” I shunned him as I pushed him off my way.

I went inside the car and I settled down, waiting for him to ignite the engine.

Within few seconds he ignited the engine as we zoomed off.

************In School************

I came out of the car as I shut the door annoyingly.

“How will I even start looking for my mate when I’m an introvert.”

“I don’t go to parties, I don’t have friends and I don’t hangout.”

“How in the world will I expect to see my mate when I don’t do any of those things?” I complained within myself.

I’m so confused and at Thesame time frustrated

“Bestie!!!!!!.” Alice screamed rushing to me with smile on her face.

She run into my arms and we hugged.

The hug lasted for almost forever.

“I miss you bestie!!!,” she said dramatically.

“Stop being dramatic, Alice we saw each other yesterday so why are you being dramatic as if we haven’t seen each other for eternity?” I questioned her rolling my eyes.

“I know bestie!!!, but I still miss you,:” she said pouting her lips and I gave her a disgusted looks which made her burst into laughter.

“Are you okay bestie? You look down.” She said with concern.

“I’m not okay bestie!!!, I’m frustrated, my mom is finding every single means to frustrate me.” I complained as tears dropped freely from my eyes.

“It’s okay bestie,” she assured me as she pull me into a tight warm hug.

I couldn’t resist it as I felt safe in her arms.

She break the hug as she looked into my eyes and gave me a peck on my head.

“Do you mind sharing it with me?” She questioned me and I declined.

“I’m not settled bestie, whenever I settle down, I will tell you about everything. I told her as she nodded her head with a soft smile.

“Alright bestie, let’s go to class, we have few minute before lecture commence.”

“We need to rush to class.” She uttered and I nodded my head as we walked towards the hallways.

Few minutes of me walking through the crowded hallways of my college school, I suddenly stopped on my tracks.

I sniff the air, trying to identify the unfamiliar scent that had caught my attention.

It was musky and earthy, with a hint of pine and spice. And it was driving me wild with desire.

I looked around, trying to find the source of the scent. It was getting stronger by the second, and i knew that my mate must be nearby.

Finally, my gaze landed on a handsome, dark-haired boy leaning against a locker across the hall. His piercing green eyes seemed to pierce right through me and I felt my heart skip a beat.

I knew, with a certainty that i couldn't explain, that this was the one I had been waiting for. The one i was meant to be with.

I took a step towards him, my body practically vibrating with anticipation.

I was about to take one more step when someone stopped me.

I looked at the person angrily and realized it was Alice.

“What The Fuck!!!!!!,” I growled at her.

“You seem like you were in a trance and you were walking towards the direction of SOMEONE’S MATE!!”

“THAT CUTE GUY YOU ARE GOING TO MEET HAS A MATE.”
