Belinda stood on top of the tower, watching the boundaries. It wasn’t her turn but she was going to do it anyway. She was worried about the Prince going out to hunt. They didn’t get the chance to talk throughout the day, so she heard it from Megan, and since then she had been worried. She couldn’t stop guessing that Alpha Cephas could try to get at him, and maybe even other wolves because it was the full moon. She cared less about her first transformation, because she was scared for the Prince. She kept watching the boundaries, keeping her eyes out for anything strange so she could raise an alarm. It was some minutes past midnight when all of a sudden, her heart began to beat very fast. “Prince Damon.” She called. She grabbed her chest as it was as if lightning struck her, right in the heart. She began to fidget as she could perceive something was wrong. She could feel the prince was under attack. She got confused and didn’t know what to do. Hot tears streamed down her cheeks as
“Why won’t you kill her, Cephas?! She is right there, helpless and harmful! Why can’t you just end this once and for all?!” Maeve smacked as they entered the house. “And then we forget that everything happened?! Don’t you get it?! That girl kept me on my toes for months! You think I’ll just kill her and then it will all be forgotten? Never!” “So what do you want to do now?! Keep her on that tree until that wolf comes to save her again?” “Yes, Maeve! That is exactly what I plan on doing. And when he comes, he'll be captured and then we’ll kill both of them together! That’s my plan.” Maeve stepped back and shook her head. “Maisie is in love with him! We can’t kill him, okay?! He is her fiancée.” “I don’t care, Maeve. He humiliated me, alongside that girl on the tree. Both of them will pay for this.” “Cephas, you are obsessed with this girl. Now, I can see that clearly. I didn’t want to believe that before but now I see it.” “Stop saying such things, Maeve. You know how much I ha
“Damon, are you crazy?! Going to Alpha Cephas’ territory is like walking into your own death. Can’t we sort help?” Megan uttered with worry as they stormed into Damon’s chamber. “No, we cannot sort for help, Megan! Who do we tell, hun? Father? He will never let us go there. I need to do this alone. I can’t just sit back and watch when Belinda is out there, waiting for me to help her, okay?” Damon muttered under nervousness. Megan sighed hopelessly and brushed her hair backwards with her hand. “So what do we do now? They are way stronger than we are.” “I know. But I’ll go to her tonight.” “Damon…” “Megan, Belinda is my mate! I can feel how scared she is right now. I don’t care if I die helping her, okay? She wants me to come to her, and that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to her tonight, and you’ll help me.” “But I don’t get one thing. How did he or them manage to get in here to get her? I mean, they can never get into the palace without the guards raising an alarm. Are you s
“The king is going to kill me when he finds out I’m helping his son sneak out of the palace, and not only the palace, but his kingdom.” Ayman whispered as they crossed the boundaries of the kingdom. “That is a big lie. Ayman. My father loves you so much to kill you. He’ll forgive you eventually. I know Damon has a plan to keep you out of trouble.” Megan uttered, and they both looked at Damon. “Please tell me you have a plan, even if you don’t.” Ayman answered, and Damon gulped. “I have a plan.” He answered, and Ayman nodded. “So, now that we are in the woods, on our way to another wolf territory that is probably prepared to have us. Shouldn’t we talk about how we’re going to win against them?” Ayman added, and Megan looked at him. “Damon should have thought of something.” She muttered. “Okay… both of you. Look! I have no plans, I have no ideas! I am going there because I have to get Belinda out of there even though it costs me my life. I can’t live without her, okay? And I need
Maeve and other members of the packs that were fighting with Megan and Ayman stopped abruptly and stared in awe at Belinda as she charged towards Alpha Cephas. Cephas began to fidget where he was and before he could shapeshift to his wolf form, Belinda pounced on him, making him fall to the ground, and she dragged her paw across his face, cutting him deep and even bursting his left eye in the process. “Cephas!” Maeve called out in terror as she saw blood ooze out of his face. She couldn’t believe her eyes. Belinda moved back and wanted to charge at him again, when she heard Megan call her name in desperation. “Belinda! Damon… I can’t feel his pulse anymore!” Megan cried out.Hearing this, Belibda was forced to stop. She looked back and saw Megan tapping Damon’s face, begging him to wake up. She looked at Cephas who was losing so much blood. She wanted to finish him right there but she then, she would have to ignore her dying mate and Megan’s cry. Sue turned away from Cephas and
“Father, can you please listen to me?” Damon uttered as he hastily walked behind his angry father so that he could catch up with him. “I don’t want to hear anything from that mouth of yours, Damon, and I won’t until you learn to obey me.” King Talos answered in rage, without looking back. “Father, Ayman is innocent! You can’t just lock up your best guardman!” Megan added, also walked next to Damon. Talos stopped abruptly when he got into the throne room and for the first time, he turned to look at them. “Ayman is innocent?! Ayman went out without my permission! He cannot be trusted. Ever again!” He smacked, making Megan flinch in fear. “I told him to keep quiet, that wasn’t his fault father:” Damon tried to sound as calm as possible. “He is my guardman, not yours! He should listen to me alone!” Talos answered and turned away from them again. “Belinda isn’t who we think she is, Father! She needs to be protected!” Damon added, moving closer to him. “I don’t care. She will be pu
*The Next Morning* Damon slightly opened his eyes after hearing the voices of people approaching where he laid. He looked into the cell Belinda was first and saw she was still sleeping peacefully. Their hands were still connected the same way it was before they fell asleep. He smiled faintly and looked up to see some of the guards approaching them. “Good morning, my prince.” They greeted him. Sitting up, Damon made sure he didn’t let go of Belinda’s hand. “Good morning.” He responded. “King Talos asked us to fetch Miss Belinda and bring her to the throne room.” The guard that led them said to him. Damon nodded and turned to look at Belinda, who was already awake. “It is time, Belinda. Let’s get you out of here.” The guards looked at them weirdly as they never let go of their hands while they opened the door. Belinda noticed this and whispered in Damon’s ear…“Rumors will spread. We have to stop holding hands.” Immediately she said this, Damon understood what she meant and inst
Getting to the Library which was way bigger than two chambers combined, Belinda and Megan came in contact with King Talos’ friend. Not only the largeness of the library surprised Belinda, the beauty of it was also unspeakable. The art on the ceiling consisted of beautiful flowers, the highly decorated shelves there were in the form of pillars and the smell of old and new books. Belinda was surprised to see that the king’s friend was way older than the king himself. He had only Grey hair, both on his head and chin. He walked very slowly in his very long white robe, showing how old he was. He has bulge eyes and it looked like it was going to fall out by any slight movements of his head. His mouth was hardly seen because his long mustache covered it. “Mr. Theron.” Megan called him with a wide smile. “Princess Megan. It’s been a while since I saw you. How have you been?” Mr. Theron answered. His voice sounded dry and thin. “I have been so busy with affairs at the palace lately. I ha
