Welcome back readers to Davina’s conclusion. Please let me know what you think!
DerekThe funeral service has come to a close and everyone is heading home. I stay behind to help put away the chairs and tables along with several of my warriors. We all freeze as we hear howls in the distance that send a shiver up my spine. I feel someone trying to mind link me.“Alpha, we captured a rogue along the border. He was spying on the pack house.”“Any others?”“No they all took off.”“Alright. Send the rogue to the cells. I’ll meet you there.”I rush straight to the cells with Mark right behind me. I bring him up to speed on what just happened as we make our way to the cells. Alastor must be trying to figure out what is going on with Maliyah. Time To see what this spy knows about Alastor and his plans. I enter the cells and immediately smell the horrible stench. The smell of a rogue is vile and it makes me want to vomit.
Derek “Alastor has made a move. The fairies were attacked.” “Is everyone okay? Where is Kale?” “No Davina, everyone is not okay. They got Cedar, Joy and Kale.” “Oh Katerina.” Davina turns to Katerina with tears in her eyes. Her sister may be fine but if anything happens to Kale, Katerina is going to wish she was dead. “I already have a meeting set with the other packs. We will put together a rescuer party. We will get them back Davina, I promise.” “Don’t make promises you can’t keep,” she snaps at me. I am shocked at her anger towards me. This is the first time she has shown an emotion other than sadness and I am not sure why she is directing it at me. Mark shrugs his shoulders, just as clueless as I am. “Davina, we will be in my office if you’d like to be a part of the meeting.” She ignores me as Mark and I leave the room. She went from sad
Davina I have been distraught at Malayah’s death that I held off on the funeral as long as I could. I hoped and prayed Maliyah would wake up but my prayers go unanswered. There has been no sign of Maliyah waking up anytime soon and all the of doctors we’ve called have no answers. After hearing what Aspen said, I finally have some hope. Maliyah is there, she just needs a little guidance. I know if anyone can guide her back to me it will be Aspen. They have a bond I can’t explain and she tends to listen to him over anyone else. I’ll have to give Aspen the space he needs to try and reach her. “Davina what are you doing?” I have been at the training grounds for the past two hours. I have been training physically and with Akira. I am in full control of my powers, my emotions no longer get the better of me. I know longer lose control of my powers
Davina Katerina has one group next to her while I have another. We are splitting them up so Katerina doesn’t have to teleport everyone. She’ll go first as she can feel Kale and her being my sister, I’ll teleport to her. “Everyone ready,” Katerina asks. We all nod and watch her disappear with her group. Two minutes later I prepare to teleport everyone but I stare at Derek in confusion. “What is it love?” “It’s just, I don’t know what realm Katerina is at. I haven’t felt this one before.” Mark and Derek look at me with concern as I teleport everyone to Katerina’s location. We all blink and take in our surroundings. This is definitely a realm we were not aware of. There is lava everywhere and it’s coming from an active volcano. Where ever there isn’t lava there is a forest. It almost reminds me of what Hawaii looks like. “Look,” whispers Derek. We follow he direction he is pointing and notice a metal building that has been built into the side of the volcano. “I can feel Kale i
Derek I failed Jason. I failed in protecting his son. I don’t blame him for going rogue. I snap out of it as I hear Davina giving orders and trying to help Dr. Ase and Tanisha. Both Cedar and Joy are in bad shape, but I think Joy is not going to make it. “What’s the word doc,” asks Mark. “They both are going to need surgery. Tanisha you take Cedar, I know you can handle it,” says Dr. Ase. Cedar’s must be an easy surgery for Dr. Ase to give Tanisha a solo surgery. I can tell he is worried about Joy. Her breathing is shallow and she has lost a lot of blood. I am concerned with all her stab wounds, it has nicked something that Dr. Ase may not be able to repair. “And Joy?” “Derek, I don’t she is going to make it. I can go through with the surgery, but I am not sure it’ll do anything but postpone the inevitable.” “Damn it.” “I’ll make her as comfortable as possible Alpha. Hopefully give Cedar a chance to say goodbye.” “Do it,” I order. We watch as Cedar and Joy are wheeled off to
Davina Derek calls a meeting with the pack elders and dragon elders. We don’t want Cedar to have to tell his story more than once and I want to ensure everyone gets the opportunity to ask Cedar questions now rather than later. He still needs to grieve and rest. We end up using the big conference room since so many are present. “Derek, you need to choose a new gamma,” says elder Franklin, making Derek growl at the man. “I don’t need to do anything. He hasn’t even been gone for twenty four hours and you want me to immediately replace him!” “Derek calm down,” I whisper to him, squeezing his hand. “Derek will choose a new gamma in due time. This is not what we called this meeting for and it will not be discussed at this time,” I say with authority. “Why has this meeting been called to order,” asks Katla. I know the dragon elders are confused. We haven’t called an important meeting needing all the elders before. “As you know, we managed to rescue the fairy twins, however we lost
Davina I didn’t realize how much I was missing his touch, his lips against mine. Last night was amazing and Akira agrees with me. The next morning I awake the happiest I have been in a long time. I can feel Derek is watching me. I feel Derek graze his fingers along my cheek, and I cannot help but smile. “I didn’t realize you were awake.” “Mmmm,” was all I was able to get out, making Derek chuckle. He leans down and kisses my forehead. I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him in for a kiss, making him moan. I whimper when he pulls away. “I’ve missed you love.” “I’ve missed you too. I’m sorry.” “Shhh. Enough of that.” I sit up and stare up into his eyes. He brushes his hand through my hair and I lean down for another kiss. He pulls me up until I am straddling him and I can feel his arousal. I bite on his lower lip and he growls lightly in frustration and I look at him confused. “Daniela and Mark wish to meet with us,” he groans. I can’t help but giggle. I move to get out
DerekThese last few days have been amazing. Though she is still sad, Davina has been more present than withdrawn. She even visits her old family’s restaurant and see how Katherine and River have been managing. She is still caring that sadness with her but she does her best to continue living her daily life.As for us, it’s like she’s been starving all this time and we’ve reconnected every night and even sometimes during the day. It wouldn’t surprise if she ends up telling me she is pregnant. I am not sure if that would help her or make things worse for her right now.I watch my beautiful Angel, asleep in my arms. She’s also been sleeping better lately as well rather than getting up several times in the night to check on Maliyah. I know it hurts her to see our daughter like that, we can only pray she finds her way ba
