Chapter 4

"Matthias, you animal! How dare you break into our home and kill my father? You're going to pay for this!" Allen's son shouted from the crowd.

"Matthias! Do you know what you're doing? You bring a gang of thugs to our residence and kill my brother? Any last words?" Irvine Whitney, the head of the Whitney family, roared. He looked livid with rage.

The Whitney family members cursed and shouted.

To them, it was a disgrace that a loser like Matthias, who married into their family, dared to storm their residence with a group of men.

After all, the Whitneys were one of the most influential families in St. Merilo, with a history stretching back hundreds of years.

Matthias' action was an unimaginable insult to them.

Nonetheless, Matthias ignored their insults.

He glanced coldly at the crowd and kept walking.

To him, those people were already dead.

"Alpha, take your team and follow me! Beta, interrogate these people thoroughly. For every act of cruelty they inflicted on my wife and daughter over the past three years, break one of their fingers!

"If they run out of fingers, break an arm. If that's not enough, break their legs!

"I want them to suffer a horrible death!" Matthias ordered as he walked, his voice echoing as he reached the gate.

The Whitneys were stunned by his words, their expressions shifting from shock to pale horror.

After Matthias left with part of his team, Beta glared at the remaining Whitneys in the courtyard with murderous rage.

He wanted to kill them all right then and there!

Beta finally understood why Matthias was so furious and wept in front of the entire Legion of the Unbreakable.

Those people had tormented Matthias' wife and daughter!

The courtyard fell silent, a deadly silence settling over the scene as the warriors of the Legion of the Unbreakable, also known as the Unbreakables, glared menacingly at the Whitney family members.

Each warrior seethed with anger and determination.

How dare those scum torment Matthias' family!

They were simply audacious!

The Whitneys trembled under the intense gaze of the Unbreakables, and they were so terrified that they dared not make a sound.

Even Jermaine forced himself to endure the pain of his broken arm in silence.

As the St. Merilo's elites, they had never faced such a humiliating situation.

"All of you heard His Lordship's orders, right? Start interrogating them! You have my permission to use any means necessary!" Beta's grim voice cut through the tension, and the Unbreakables moved into action.

"Hey, do you even know where you are? This is the Whitney residence! How much did that bastard Matthias pay you? We'll double it! Let's talk things over!" Irvine spoke with forced confidence, believing Matthias bought off those men.

In response, Beta charged forward and slapped Irvine.

He did not hold back his force, sending Irvine flying across the courtyard and crashing hard into the wall.

"I'll kill anyone who dares to insult His Lordship, even if it means going against his orders!" Beta threatened through gritted teeth.

The Whitneys were utterly shocked.

Matthias, that worthless man, was their leader?

Outside the Whitney residence's gates, the brakes screech echoed as a car pulled up.

Russell dashed inside with only one bodyguard by his side.

When he saw the scene in the courtyard, he was initially alarmed. However, his shock was quickly washed away by a sense of relief.

It seemed the Legion of the Unbreakable's visit was indeed personal.

Russell scanned the area but did not see Matthias, and his heart skipped a beat.

Where could Matthias have gone?

Russell hurried to Beta's side and asked in a calm voice, "Mr. B, what's going on? Has Lord Matthias arrived? Where is he?"

Beta sighed, looking at Russell's earnest expression.

Then, he glanced at the Whitneys and explained through gritted teeth, "These lowlifes hurt Lord Matthias' family. We found his wife locked in their basement like a criminal. Right now, someone is planning to steal his daughter's heart!

"Mr. Bridges, this is a personal matter. His Lordship needs to vent his anger, and we demand justice!"

Russell was stunned, his mind buzzing as he struggled to believe what he had just heard.

Matthias' wife and daughter had been mistreated?

His wife was treated like a criminal, and someone was about to take his daughter's heart?

It was no wonder Matthias was furious!

If it were his own family, Russell would have lost his mind long ago!

"You scumbags!" Russell roared in anger, his face contorted with rage.

The thought of anyone treating Matthias' family that way filled him with fury and shame.

"Brock, get in here!" Russell shouted, his expression fierce.

A middle-aged man instantly came running in from outside.

The Whitneys were shocked to see Brock.

They recognized him from television—Brock Mueller, the Governor of Havenwood!

Brock was the ultimate authority in the region!

Thelma Whitney, the family matriarch, cried out, her voice desperate, "Mr. Mueller, please save us! These intruders broke into our residence, killing the innocent and defying all laws! Mr. Mueller, you must punish these criminals!"

The Whitney family had not heard Russell and Beta's conversation and saw Brock as their savior.

However, the next moment left the Whitney family in shock, their hearts gripped with fear!
