Chapter 3

In St. Merilo, dozens of armored vehicles sped down the streets, their roaring engines startling everyone along the way.

When residents dressed and rushed outside to see what was happening, they saw a cloud of dust.

Matthias sat in one of the vehicles, struggling to contain his murderous rage.

He feared he might lose control and slaughter everyone in sight.

"Your Lordship! We've arrived at the Whitney residence!"

With a swift kick, Matthias sent the door flying off its hinges and stormed out.

The main gate of the Whitney residence suffered a worse fate as it immediately shattered under his powerful kick.

Matthias stood in the courtyard, eyes blazing with fury as he roared, "All you Whitneys, get out here and bring me Leona!"

The entire Whitney household was instantly on high alert.

Guards rushed out, and the Whitneys hastily dressed and prepared to confront the intruder.

Jermaine had just returned from the basement when he heard the commotion, and his face twisted with rage.

He hurried to the front yard and saw Matthias standing there.

"How dare you, Matthias! You worthless scum, you dare barge into my home?" Jermaine shouted, his expression livid.

He turned to the rapidly gathering guards and ordered, "Break his legs!"

However, Matthias' rage was beyond containment.

When he spotted Jermaine, he charged through the guards with lightning speed.

"Jermaine!" Matthias bellowed.

He recognized Jermaine's voice as the one he had heard on the phone, the one who had struck Leona.

The guards who tried to block Matthias were no match against him. His powerful blows sent them flying before they could even get close to him.

Matthias held nothing back; anyone who stood in his way was instantly incapacitated.

Within moments, half of the Whitney family guards lay injured.

"What are you doing? Matthias, you loser! How dare you harm my people? Do you even know what you're doing?" Jermaine stammered, his voice filled with terror.

Jermaine had expected to see Matthias beaten and broken, but instead, he was stunned to see his own guards falling one after another before Matthias' attack.

Was that really Matthias, the man who had been their family's doormat for two years?

Jermaine vividly remembered how he had beaten Matthias many times without any retaliation.

When did Matthias become so powerful?

In the blink of an eye, Matthias was in front of Jermaine, gripping his throat tightly.

Through gritted teeth, he demanded, "Where's Leona? Where's my daughter? What have you done to them?"

"Let him go! Matthias, if you don't want to die, let go right now!"

The guards rushed forward, ignoring the fact that Matthias had suddenly become so formidable.

Suddenly, a faster figure appeared at the gate, blocking the guards.

His eyes burned with fury as he glared at them, his voice filled with rage.

"Legion of the Unbreakable! What is the punishment for those who disrespect His Lordship?"

"Death!" A thunderous chorus answered from behind the Whitney family guards.

They turned and saw the courtyard filled with imposing figures radiating murderous intent.

Jermaine was stunned, unable to comprehend or believe what he was seeing.

The grip around his throat tightened, and he began to choke, his face turning red.

Matthias' voice hissed in his ear again, "Speak! Where are they?"

"I-In the basement," Jermaine struggled to reply.

Matthias flung Jermaine aside and rushed toward the basement, a place he knew all too well.

"Break his arms, but don't kill him! Capture every member of the Whitney family," Matthias ordered.

As Matthias' voice echoed, countless black-clad Legion of the Unbreakable members surged into the courtyard.

Before long, the air was filled with Jermaine's blood-curdling screams.

Matthias sprinted through the estate, passing by members of the Whitney family who had just emerged.

"Matthias, you worthless scum! Who gave you the guts to break into the Whitney residence at night?"

Jermaine's uncle, Allen Whitney, blocked Matthias' path, his face twisted with rage.

"Get out of my way!" Matthias roared, landing a powerful punch without breaking stride. Allen's body was slammed into the wall.

Just like that, Allen was dead.

Terror gripped the Whitney family, but before they could react, countless black-clad figures swarmed them.

Matthias ripped open the basement door, tossing it aside with a loud bang.

The noise immediately made Leona curl up, trembling.

The sight made Matthias' eyes welled up with tears.

His beloved wife was treated like a prisoner by the Whitney family!

"Leona!" Matthias suppressed his rage, softening his tone as he rushed to her side, cradling her frail body in his arms. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry I'm late!"

Leona's body quivered as she opened her eyes, and tears streamed down her cheeks when she saw the familiar face.

"Matthias, you're back! You didn't lie to me..."

In the basement, Leona's heartbreaking whimpers echoed.

At the basement door, the Legion of the Unbreakable members fumed with even more intense fury upon hearing her despair.

"I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry! I'm late!" Matthias wept.

Leona snapped out of her shock and suddenly remembered about Danielle.

Her face turned pale as she urgently said, "Quick! Go save Dani! Our precious daughter is in danger! They're going to take her heart!"

"What?!" Matthias' eyes blazed with rage as he looked at Leona.

She flinched at his fierce expression but quickly continued, "She's at the Vaughn Medical Center! Dani is at Vaughn Medical Center!"

As she finished speaking, Leona fainted.

Matthias struggled to contain his fury.

He swiftly picked her up and rushed out of the basement, handing her over to his men.

"Take care of her! If she dies, all of you will die with her!"

"Yes, my lord!" The black-clad men knelt, trembling. Matthias was truly enraged.

In the blink of an eye, Matthias reached the front courtyard of the Whitney residence, where his men held all the Whitneys.

Seeing Matthias, their faces showed anger as they thought he was the same loser as before.
