Xavier didn't get mad. He and Quinn had a long way to go, and he would make her slowly get used to him.

Edgar led them inside. A dozen men were dangling in the air. They had already been there for a day.

From the moment the men had been brought there, Edgar and the others hadn't said a word. Their future was unknown, and it was precisely that uncertainty that made everything seem scarier.

"It's you!" Tom Hansen, the leader of the other 11 men, finally reacted to seeing Quinn.

She smirked at him, making a chill run down his spine. She was far too terrifying—he and his men didn't stand a chance against her despite their strength in numbers.

It was as if she were a devil from hell. She didn't seem to fear death at all. Because of that, her actions scared them.

Quinn picked up a leather whip. "Are you guys going to talk, or should I make you talk?"

"What are you trying to do? You can't imprison and torture us like this! It's illegal!" Tom yelled. At his voice, the 11 others woke up
