Diego's POV

"Let's talk," Samantha's father said while sitting on the couch. I placed the wine on the table and sat on the opposite couch. Meanwhile, Samantha and her mother went to check out the condominium.

"What is it, Mr. Henderson?" I asked him. I knew this would happen. I had already prepared for whatever it might be. Though it's hard for me to lie to them, I have no other choice.

“Dad, you should call me Dad,” he repeated. He stared at me for a moment, like he was trying to read me.

"I'm sorry, Dad," I said, feeling uncomfortable. He cleared his throat before deciding to pour wine into our glasses.

"Samantha is a lovely kid. We love her so much. She's our princess," Mr. Henderson said. I nodded at him.

"She's clumsy sometimes, she's talkative, funny, lovely... she's amazing," he said proudly. He was right. Samantha is indeed an amazing person.
