Chapter One: Break Up
Samantha's POV
The wind blew my hair as I opened the window of my room. Upon observing my surroundings, I was thinking about which direction I should run. I bit my bottom lip in annoyance when I saw our guards at the front door.
“Damn it. He's still there,” I murmured. I went to my huge mirror and fixed my hair. I looked like a mess but still as gorgeous as ever. I winked at myself as I combed it using my fingers.
“Samanta, baby, are you still up?” A knock on the door suddenly alerted me. Oh, mom is here. She’ll scold me if she finds out I’m still awake at this hour. I hurriedly went to my bed, nervously covering myself with my blanket, and pretended that I was already sleeping.
I took a deep breath when I heard the door open. She always did that. I wonder if one of the people in this house knows the word privacy. I calmed down as I could hear her footsteps towards me.
I felt her sit down on the edge of the bed, sighing in relief. She probably thought I went out again. Well, Mom. Later, when you left. She caresses my hair gently.
“I'm glad you're asleep. I thought you were going out again. Good night, Sam.” Mom kissed me on the forehead before walking out of my room. When I heard the door closed, I slowly opened my eyes, and a smile formed on my lips.
I checked the time, and it was already ten in the evening. It is time to go. I’m sorry, Mom, you can scold me tomorrow.
“The heck, I should do something.” I kept my lower voice, and then a brilliant idea came to my mind.
I started to get my blankets in my cabinet and tie them all together. I threw it out the window and made sure that no one could see me.
“Let's do this, Sam,” I murmured, trying to encourage myself. I closed my eyes and started to climb down using the blankets I tied.
“Shit! Is this the way I end my life? Why am I doing this for him?” I uttered, looking down. I gulped and was about to go back when I saw the guard walking around, which made me suddenly let go of the rope, and I fell from the bush. I thought I had been discovered, but luckily, he was wearing earphones.
I fixed my hair and carefully went outside the house to call for a taxi. I'll be going to a party tonight. I told Andrew that I wouldn't go, but the truth is, I just wanted to surprise him. I can’t believe I became a puppy shit in love.
I dressed for tonight. I want to show him how Samantha Henderson, 20 years old, would easily attract him.
Andrew Presley has been my boyfriend for almost two years, and we are studying at the same university. He's sweet, charming, and caring, but sometimes there's something off with him. It is because he’s too good to be true. I don’t know. But I don't care anyway. What matters is that I love him, and he loves me.
“We're here, ma'am,” The taxi driver said. I gave him money and a tip. Yes, I’m not stingy. I rolled my eyes and flipped my hair. I couldn't wait to see his reaction.
I walked with confidence while my hands were holding my expensive limited-edition bag. Not to brag, but there are only five of these in the whole world.
“Damn! Is that Sam?” I heard one of my schoolmates say, staring at me while I walked through the sidewalk of the pool. Maybe he was not just used to my beauty. But anyway, everyone finds me attractive.
I grabbed a glass of drinks from the waiter. As the music started, I swayed my body effortlessly, trying to vibe on the music. I really like going to this kind of party, especially when my boyfriend is around.
“Hey, Jana. Have you seen Andrew?” I asked her. She was smiling before, but when she saw me, she started panicking. Like what? My brow furrowed. What’s wrong with her?
“I thought you're not coming?” She asked worriedly. Huh? Like, duh, what’s surprising about coming here unsaid? I chuckled because of the way she looked at me. She looks like she has seen a ghost.
“Is there something wrong?” I asked her. She wanted to say something, but she couldn't utter it.
“You're not supposed to be here, Sam,” she said. What? Is she telling me that I'm uninvited? But I always go to this kind of party. It's not like I'm gate-crushing. I just pretended that I couldn't come.
“Don't look at me like that,” I said. I’m clearly offended by the way she’s treating me. I feel like she wanted me to leave now. “Oh well, if you don’t know where he is. I’ll go and look for him by myself,” I said, turning my back on her.
I looked around to see where Andrew might be. A smile formed on my lips when I saw him standing on the counter holding his glass of champagne. There is he, my love.
“Andrew!” I called him. The music was too loud, which made him unable to hear me. I made my way to approach him when I saw a familiar face walking towards him. Tiffany? She’s my best friend. She's the closest friend I have. She’s like a sister to me.
“Tiffany!” I called out her name, but she was just walking directly in my boyfriend's direction. I also walk towards them with a broad smile on my face.
I stopped when Tiffany suddenly placed her arm on my boyfriend's shoulder like she was intentionally caressing it smoothly. I've never seen her do that in the years that we've been friends.
I was about to approach them when Andrew suddenly stood up. I thought he saw me, but he was looking at Tiffany with a smirk on his face. What the heck is wrong with them?
He encircled his arms on Tiffany's waist and pressed his lips on hers, making my eyes widen. Did they just kiss in front of me? What? I looked at them with disbelief.
They kissed passionately while others were cheering with them. They knew? But- why? They were tolerating their betrayal. My heart aches, but I’m angrier now. How dare they do this behind my back?
I removed my heels and threw it at them. I hit Andrew’s head, which made him mad, but when he saw me, he just furrowed his eyebrows. The music stopped, and they all looked at me. I couldn't believe that even my best friend for years had betrayed me! I treated them like my family. Especially her!
“You bastard!” I shouted in anger. Tiffany just crossed her arms like she didn’t care. How thick is her face? I pampered her with gifts. I treated her well. Is this how she pays for everything I have ever done to her?
“Oh, sorry, you saw us. But duh! I've been waiting for this day to come. So, we don't have to hide our relationship from you anymore,” she said, flipping her hair proudly. She’s even that proud, huh? Are they making me the villain here? The one who’s preventing them from getting their happiness and freedom to be together?
“How dare you, Tiffany! You're my best friend. I couldn't believe you would be this ugly leech who was shamelessly leeching to her best friend’s boyfriend. You're pathetic!” I yelled in disgust. I should have come here.
Her face blushed in anger. “How dare you—” I quickly cut her off. “Shut up, bitch! You’re no longer my best friend! And you, Andrew! You’re an asshole dimwit who looks like Shrek!” I shouted, which made everyone gasp in shock and laugh.
“How dare you!” Tiffany was about to slap me, but I won't make that happen. I held her hand and slapped her four times. She was shocked because of what I did, but I just grinned devilishly. They dared to mess up with me. I’ll let them taste their own medicine.
God! I was so mad right now that I didn't have time to cry for this little shit! They were low class and had no shame—thick-faced ugly creatures.
“Sam!” He was so mad, glaring at me, but I didn't care. Two years of being with him. God, what am I thinking? I know from the very start that he’s a red flag in green flag disguise.
“Don't you ever call me Sam again, Andrew. If I only knew that you would be like this? Then, I don't have to waste my time hanging out with a loser like you, empty head!” I said, still glaring at him. He didn't expect that I would say such words, and I couldn't even control myself.
“Enough! I am so tired of you! Tiffany is much better than you, Sam. She's willing to make me happy. Unlike you! I've waited for years,” he said in anger. My jaw dropped. Tiffany can make him happy, while I can’t. What is he talking about?
Does that mean… Tiffany? This Slut! Did she bang Andrew for him to like her?! I couldn't think that he would literally replace me with a low-class like her! All this fuss is because I can’t give myself to him. What the fuck? I laughed sarcastically.
“You two really look good together,” I said. I’m done. I don’t deserve this kind of treatment. Who cares if he’s a rich, charming, and cool boy? It doesn't change the fact that he’s a cheater. A big scumbag. I told them I looked around, and their eyes were on me. I was about to leave, but I couldn't leave here without doing this.
I walked towards Andrew with a smile on my face, which confused him. I slowly placed both my hands on his nape. I saw him gulp. I acted like I was whispering something.
“Ouch! Shit!” You bitch!” He screamed in pain, holding his balls. I laughed at him. While Tiffany, the bitch, tried to comfort him.
“That's what you get from cheating on me. And yes, you’re free because I’m breaking up with you!” I even grinned widely before leaving. I saw the others laughing, watching Andrew in pain. I have no time to wear my heels. I walk out of the party barefoot.
“Damn you!” I heard him shout. I rolled my eyes. Everything hurts, but it’s quite refreshing to kick him where the sun doesn't shine. A shameless bastard and an ungrateful bitch. They really go for each other.
Chapter Two: One Night StandSamantha's POV“Let's party!” I screamed at the top of my lungs as I raised my hand, holding a glass of wine. I could barely stand properly because of drunkenness, but I still kept on dancing like a crazy girl. The loud music is the only thing that makes me feel alive. It is fucking hurts. I trusted them with all my heart. Tiffany, you’re the last person I ever thought would betray me. But you’re the first one. What a sly bitch.“This is all that I want!” I shouted while dancing, not minding everyone’s around me. Damn that ugly duck! I even consider her my sister, and yet she's still betrayed me. And that Andrew Presley, damn that guy. Who does he think of himself? Some models with eight-pack abs? Damn! He doesn't even have one!I escaped from home again. I don't want to isolate myself thinking about those two snakes from the forest. Who even let them escape? I think I need to return them to where they came from. I'd rather go to a party than be a sad
Chapter Three: ResponsibilitySamantha's POVI covered my lips and yawned when I woke up in the morning. What happened last night? Oh, last night? I quickly looked around to see where I was. My eyes widened when I felt like my body was being torn apart. And I felt pain down there.“Shit!” I gasp when I feel someone’s hand placed on my stomach. Then I realized what happened last night. This can’t be serious. I end up spending the night with a stranger. Did I completely lose my mind last night? My mother will surely kill me.I slowly removed his hand while looking at his face. He's attractive even when he's asleep. Damn it, Sam! You still have time to think about that after you gave your virginity to this handsome guy. Well, at least he’s handsome.I got out of bed and hurriedly put on my dress, even if my body hurt. I got my purse and was about to leave when I saw his wallet fall. It makes me a little curious. Maybe I can find something about his identity. I slowly picked it up. As I o
Chapter Four: ShowSamantha's POVI was like a freaking crazy while staring at his picture. He is filthy rich and indeed handsome.“You seemed so happy,” Nita said while she was serving me coffee. I couldn't stop but smile while biting my finger.“Do you find this attractive, Nita?” I asked her while showing her Diego’s half-naked photo. Her eyes widened when she saw it. I laughed at her reaction.“Ma'am Sam, where did you get that picture? That's inappropriate. But yes, he's handsome,” she said, but I shook my head. It's actually yummy. I mean, he's damn hot and spicy.I smiled broadly. I've been waiting for his message. It's Harold, the one I met in Diego's company. After I left his company, I made sure to get his secretary’s assistant’s number.I just used my charm to get what I wanted. He's actually easy to fool. I will not miss the chance to stalk Diego. He'll be mine, after all.“Miss Sam, he's going for a jog,” he sent a message. Through Harold, I can easily find out where Die
Chapter Five: Hot UncleSamantha's POVI smiled broadly as I bit my lower lips to stop myself from giggling. I can't believe I just made him agree. Well, that's me, Samantha, the girl who can get whatever I want. Diego is no exemption. That handsome, hot uncle.I set our meeting today. I just wore my simple yet elegant dress to impress him even more. Well, little did I know that he's already impressed. He's just hiding it. He’s good at masking his true emotions.Who would not? I could easily get what I wanted. I am waiting for him in this restaurant, and he is two minutes late now. I just hate it when people make me wait. But since it's him, I'll consider it.I tapped the table while waiting for him patiently. He didn't want to meet us today, but of course, I pulled some strings. And he couldn’t say no. But damn, waiting makes me feel eternity. I frowned as I looked around.“Where the hell is he?” I murmured to myself. I zipped my coffee while staring outside the restaurant. My phone
Chapter Six: She's Mad Samantha's POV I bit my lower lips while looking at my mother worriedly. I know this will happen. “What?! You're still studying Sam!” My mother's voice echoed in my ears. She's screaming angrily. Damn, she's overreacting for real. I just told her that my boyfriend will come here tonight. And she was like, What?! You're too young for that! I secretly rolled my eyes. She was younger than me when she got pregnant. . “Mom, I'm already mature. Besides, he's handsome and freaking rich. “ I told her, trying to convince her. There's no way I wouldn't convince her right now. “We're rich too. Sam. Boyfriend? There's no way on earth I will let you bring that man here.” She objected to my decision. “But Mom, he's matured. Believe me, if I say so," I said and placed the pillow on my lap. I grabbed the chocolate and started eating it. She looked at me with wide eyes. “Sam, I told you. You're not allowed to have a boyfriend," she said, but I shook my head. Her
Chapter 7: Meeting the In-Laws Samantha's POVMy hands were sweating as I looked at my dad nervously. My father was staring at me. Damn! He looks like he's ready to throw me out of the house.“Did I hear your mother right?” he asked in his serious voice. I slowly nodded at him and lowered my head. For sure, I will hear another preaching from him.“Dad, Mom, what can I do? I love him,” I said. Dad let out a heavy sigh as he looked at me.They were both discussing it in Dad's office when he got home. I could barely hear them arguing earlier.“What time will he come?” Dad asked. I looked at him and bit my lips to stop myself from smiling.“Tonight. He will be joining us for dinner,” I told Dad. He nodded at me and looked at Mom, but she just furrowed her eyebrows.“That's all, Philip? You're not going to talk to her about the mess she made?” Mom said incredulously. She was like pushing Dad to talk to me. Damn, I don't want to hear any more words.“Sam, I hope you know what you're doing,
Chapter 8: Moving In Samantha's POV “Are you sure about this?” Mom asked me while she was sitting on my bed. I glanced at her while I was busy packing my things. “Mom, I know things went so fast. But I'm grown up now. I'm not a baby anymore,” I told her. I sat beside her. She fixed the strands of my hair. “I'm sorry for yelling at you. It's just that- I love you. It's hard to see you packing your things and living under another roof,” she said. I understand her; they treated us like princesses. “Mom, I'm not going to another planet. I'm just a little bit far from you and Dad, but I'll be visiting you always.” I chuckled. She sighed. “Just come back here if things don't go well, okay? The door is always open for you.” I nodded at her and continued fixing my stuff. “Isn’t he handsome?” I asked her while smiling broadly, thinking about Diego. “Yes, but-” The door opened, and it was Dad and Diego. I was also done packing my things. “Are you done?” he asked me with his sweet voice
Chapter 9: Wedding Preparations Samantha's POV“What do you think about this?” I asked him, showing him the wedding ring. He was just looking at it when I kicked his feet under the table. He glared at me, but I furrowed my eyebrows.“Ma'am, we only have one pair of rings. It's actually a perfect fit for you,” the sales lady said. I found it cute; I don't care if it's expensive.“This one, I want this,” I showed him my ring finger excitedly. I intentionally pouted. He just nodded.“Aren't you happy?” I acted like I was crying while wiping the side of my eyes. It made him hold my hand immediately.“Of course, it's perfect. Sorry about my fiancée,” he told the sales lady. She chuckled while looking at us. I placed my hand on his chest.“You two really look good together. Wishing you a successful wedding, Ma'am and Sir,” she said. I gave her back the wedding ring. I glanced at Diego. He was smiling at the sales lady, but when he glanced at me, he glared. What the?The sales lady stood up
Epilogue Diego's POV I smiled while staring at my wife. She's really gorgeous. It's funny how I ended up with her—this silly girl who brought color to my life. The girl who is always irritating me, messing with me. I love her so much. I love her more than myself. I'm willing to give everything for her. I knew from the very beginning that she was just playing, the way she teased me, stared at me, and forced me to do things. How she tried to seduce me was just part of the contract. I remember how she forced me to marry her at the park. I thought she was just having fun that day, but I was wrong. She's the only woman who has ever done all those things to me. As the days passed, I started to fall for her silliness. I acted like I didn’t care, but the truth was, I was slowly falling for her. That day when we went abroad for our honeymoon, I enjoyed her company. She was so sweet and cheerful, full of energy in a way not many people are. I couldn't help but smile as she forced m
Finale Samantha's POV The sound of gunfire echoed through the old buildings. Everyone became alert. I started to feel nervous. "Get all the guns that we have!" Mr. Wedge shouted to his allies. Leo began distributing the guns to the others. "Watch her," Mr. Wedge said, glancing at me. Tiffany grabbed the gun that Mr. Wedge handed to her. She pointed it at me while the war outside the building raged on. "Please, just let me go," I pleaded with Tiffany, but she didn’t listen. "Shut up! This is all because of you!" she snapped, pointing the gun directly at me. I shook my head in denial. "Remove the leash from her hands and feet, Windy," Tiffany ordered. Windy immediately did as she was told. "Get that knife and point it at her neck!" she added, and Windy obeyed. I looked at Windy, and I could see she was just being forced to do it. "No, please, Windy. I'm begging you," I said, crying. "You want to beg? Then kneel!" Tiffany screamed at me. "Get the guns! The police are here!" I h
Chapter Two Hundred Four: Kidnapped Samantha's POV I breathe heavily, panic tightening around me. Something covers my head, making it hard to see or breathe. Fear grips me as I realize my hands and feet are tied to a chair. "Help!" I scream, struggling to move. A voice, familiar but chilling, responds. "She's awake." It's Leo. I know it's him. "Where am I? Let me go, Leo!" I shout, my voice cracking from fear. "Remove her blindfold," a monotone voice commands. My heart skips a beat. It’s Mr. Wedge. They pull off whatever was covering my head, and though my vision is blurry, I see Leo holding a gun, talking to Tiffany. I blink, trying to make sense of the situation. “The princess is awake,” Tiffany says as she walks toward me, gripping my chin. I glare at her, trying to mask my terror. I’m not just scared for myself but for the baby growing inside me. "Why am I here?" I ask, trying to stay calm. She laughs coldly, mocking me, and my gaze shifts to Mr. Wedge, who’s watc
Chapter Two Hundred Three: Stay Alert Samantha's POV We’re at Diego’s office, and I’m surprised to see my brother, Louis, here, along with his wife, Leilani, and their daughter, Anya. Mrs. Bianca is also here, and everyone is drinking and eating. Diego is sitting beside me, holding my hand. We’re celebrating my pregnancy, and I have no idea what made Diego invite everyone over so suddenly. “Congratulations to both of you,” Mrs. Bianca says, raising her glass. Ray and Elisha are also here, joining in the celebration. “Thank you,” I smile, feeling a bit overwhelmed. Anya is happily playing with the new toy Diego bought her. “Congratulations, sis, and to you too, Diego,” Louis says, giving me a tight hug. “I’m so happy for you,” Leilani adds, embracing me warmly, and then congratulates Diego as well. “Congrats, Sam,” Elisha says, hugging me before giggling. “Congratulations, Sam,” Ray joins in, and as he hugs me, I can’t help but sniff him, then glare at him playfully.
Chapter Two Hundred Two: Happiness Samantha's POV We were busy with our work at the library. Anna and Jane sat with me, but all I could focus on was eating. It seemed like that’s all my body wanted these days. "Sam, no offense, but you've been eating the same thing every day. We’ve noticed," Anna commented, making me pause mid-bite and glance at the food in my hand. She was right, but I couldn’t help it. "And you're not even gaining weight. That's the strange part," Jane added. "Do you think it's a problem? I just can’t stop," I said, leaning back in my chair. Technically, eating wasn’t allowed in the library, but I couldn’t resist. "I thought you hated those foods? Remember when we tried to get you to eat strawberries? You wouldn’t even touch them," Anna said. I remembered that. But people change. "Girl, stand up for a second," Jane said suddenly. I stood, confused. "Face the wall." I bit my bottom lip, feeling their eyes on me. "Damn," Jane muttered. I sat back
Chapter Two Hundred One: Pregnant Diego's POV Damn it! That old man is really pushing my buttons. Luckily, I got there on time, or else he would have hurt Samantha. I know he already has an idea of what we are up to. Even though he tried to hide it, I could see how furious he was. Samantha still hasn’t spoken to me since then. I regret shouting at her. I got carried away by my emotions. I hated the way Mr. Wedge looked at her, especially when his gaze shifted down to her belly. He seems to know something. Yes, Samantha is pregnant. That's why I don’t want to stress her out. I’ve been planning to tell her about what’s going on, but I hesitate when I see her acting differently. I know she’s pregnant, and I know she’s confused too. "But Mom and Dad never mentioned that to me! Damn that Wedge," Louis said. We’re in my office right now. He flew in as soon as he found out what was happening. He and his family are staying at Mr. and Mrs. Henderson’s house for the time being. H
Chapter Two Hundred: Won't Let Anyone Hurt You Samatha's POV He was about to slap him when I shouted. It made them both look at me. Jane tried to hold my hand, but I continued walking towards them. "And who do you think you are to shout at me like that?" he yelled at me. I glared at him. He was wearing a decent suit, but he couldn't even act in a decent way. "Sam," Anna said as she held my hand. But my gaze was fixed on Windy. She had bruises on her hand. "I don't care who you are!" I snapped at him. He let go of Windy, who shook her head at me. He chuckled sarcastically while looking at me. "I think I already know you," he said, walking closer. I took a step back. "Call him," I heard Jane tell Anna. She was now frantically searching for her phone in her bag. "How could you hurt someone like her?" I asked him. He stopped in his tracks and looked at Windy, who immediately lowered her head. "That's none of your business, Mrs. Presley," he said, which shocked me. "How
Chapter One Hundred Ninety-Nine: Stop Samantha's POV I looked at the calendar, my forehead knotted, while Diego was busy on his laptop. We were actually in his office right now with Elisha, Ray, Harold, and Jana. “That’s not what actually happened,” Jana said, glaring at Harold. They had been arguing for a while. “Then tell me,” Harold said. I held my head as I started to feel a bit dizzy. “Are you alright?” Diego asked, standing up and carefully guiding me to sit on the couch. “I'm just dizzy, but I’m fine,” I smiled at him, noticing the others looking at me. “What’s the matter?” I asked them. They quickly returned to what they were doing. “Just sit there,” Diego said as he went to the table to get me a glass of water. He handed it to me, and I drank it. “Feeling better now?” he asked. I nodded my head. They went back to their discussion. I still didn’t know why he asked me to be here. I had t
Chapter One Hundred Ninety-Eight: Sad Thoughts Samantha's POV Windy is definitely being duped by Tiffany. I can't believe it. “We have to talk,” I said, holding her hand and making her look at me. She stopped walking. “What's the matter?” I asked her. She suddenly removed my hand and looked at me. “There's nothing to talk about,” she said with expressionless eyes. I sighed and furrowed my brow. “No, we have to talk, Windy. What happened to you? You weren't like this before. Is it because Tiffany is the one paying for your tuition? Is that why you are avoiding us? Did she threaten you?” I asked. She just looked at me. “I don't have to explain myself to you, Samantha. We're over,” she uttered. I shook my head, biting my lower lip to stop myself from crying. She’s my friend; we have so many memories together. “No, we're not. We promised to stay with each other. We promised that, Windy. How could you say such thing
