Samantha's POV

Diego went to a business meeting. I insisted on coming with him, but he didn’t let me. Maybe he thought I’d do something to ruin the meeting. Excuse me? I’m not a kid anymore. What does he think I am, stupid?

I was walking outside the building when I saw an old lady trying to cross the road. She was holding a basket of fruits when someone bumped into her.

I thought they would help her, but instead, I heard them mock the old woman because of her old clothes. My blood boiled.

I hurried over to help the old woman and picked up all the fruits scattered on the ground. I placed them back in the basket. While doing that, I heard laughter behind me.

I didn’t look at them. I continued helping the old woman cross the road. “Sorry about them,” I apologized. She smiled at me before nodding. “It’s okay, thank you for the help,” she said before walking away. I was about to leave when Tiffany and those bullies stopped me.
