I V Y
I don't know for how many hours I've been lying down on my bed and staring at the ceiling. The only thing I could think of was the mafia.
Ace was part of the Italian mafia. Did Mason know? Was he part of it too? I had so many questions yet answers to none. I couldn't just go and ask them, 'hey guys, are y'all part of the Italian mafia?' I was not dumb.
They would ask me questions, like, how do I know of the tattoo? Where did I see it? And I wasn't ready to let anyone know that part of my life yet.
My eyes felt heavy and were beginning to close. I didn't bother to fight sleep. I let it consume me.
**
"Hold this gun and shoot that man." The familiar voice spoke dangerously close to my right ear. I took a deep breath and focused on the man in front of me, who was tied in a chair, his hands behind his back and his head lowered. I felt bad.
I don't know what he did. I didn't have the right to question my own boyfriend. My heart was racing and my hands were trembling. I felt a hand on my waist making me almost jump by the sudden contact.
"Scared, love?" He questioned, his grip tightened on my waist so hard that I was sure it would leave a bruise.
"I can't do this," I muttered softly before lowering the gun. I then turned around to face him. He had a scar running down the side of his face and another one that crossed his left eyebrow. "I can't kill someone. I want out."
He chuckled darkly making me gulp. It was never good. Whenever he'd chuckle like that, I'd fear he might do something I won't like. His hand moved from my waist and snatched the gun from mine then he placed it to the back of my head before he grabbed a handful of my hairs and pulled it which made me yelp in pain.
I then received a kick in the stomach but didn't fall backward because he was holding me still by my hair. It was painful. I could feel my scalp burning. He then grabbed my face in between his hands, forcing me to look at him in his haunting brown eyes.
"You are my girlfriend. You do as you're told, do you get that?" He asked to which I nodded. He then moved his hands from my face and gripped my shoulder, "words, bitch, I need words!"
"Yes," He then smirked and turned me around, handing me the gun again, "now kill the man. Pull the trigger."
And I did.
I pulled the trigger.
The man in front of me received a bullet right in his neck. While he was laughing, my heart sank. What have I done?
**
I jolted awake, sweat dripping off my forehead. I gripped the sheets, breathing heavily. My hand reached out to the bedside table, looking for a my bottle of water. But it wasn't there.
Frowning, I stood up and walked to the bathroom before rinsing my mouth and splashing some cold water over my face. Coming out from the bathroom, I glanced at the clock and saw that it was only one-thirty in the morning. I've been sleeping for three hours now.
I opened the door to my room and went downstairs to the kitchen. I didn't bother to turn the lights on as I made my way towards the sink. Grabbing a glass, I filled it with water and leaned against the kitchen counter before drinking it.
"Itsy bitsy spider c—oh hey Ivy!" Ace shot me a smile, walking towards the fridge. Was he singing that nursery? He couldn't be part of the mafia, could he? He had the attitude of a kid. He was immature or so I thought. He opened the fridge and took out a bottle of cold water, "why aren't you sleeping?"
"Why are you still here? Did your parents kick you out from your house?" I asked back, raising my brows. He let out a chuckle before shaking his head, "nope, Macy and I are playing games so I'm gonna stay over today."
"Macy?" I repeated, smiling at the familiar nickname that I also use for my brother. He nodded, opening the bottle, "yeah, he told me that's how you call him and he hates it so I started calling him like that too, to annoy him." He then brought the bottle to his lips before gulping down some water.
"Alright. Good night," I said, placing the glass aside. He stopped drinking and nodded at me, "night, Vy."
"You shortened my name more than it already is," I muttered and heard him hum in response, "I just realized that both our names have got three letters. I'm gonna call you Vy, your nickname. Hope you like it because I'm not changing it." He winked, closing the bottle.
I V Y"Last night was fun," mom spoke as she took a bite of her pancake that I made for everyone since she wasn't able to cook. Her hand was in a lot of pain so I thought, 'why not be nice and cook?' Just kidding, Mason made them.Dad hummed in response, shoving a piece of his breakfast in his mouth, "I shot Aich was choing cho schtay for breakfasht."There was a moment of silence. We tried to make out what he said. 'I thought Ace was going to stay for breakfast.' Mason swallowed the food in his mouth before replying, "he had to leave early. Something came up.""What thing?" Mom asked out of curiosity. Mason shrugged, "something, mom. He didn't tell me nor did I ask. Next time when you see him, you can ask him.""Chill—" I muttered, raising my brows at my older brother, "did your girl break up with you already?""Shut up, Ivy," Mason rolled his eyes."You woke up on the wrong side of the bed?" I asked to which he let out a sigh, "Isabelle called me and told me that she won't be able t
I V Y"I'm bored!" I sighed, annoyed. I've been sitting on a very comfortable couch in the VIP lounge with Mason next to me for the past ten minutes. "What are we even doing here?""I come here everyday to hang out with Ace," Mason replied, "except I don't see him today. I'll just give him a call.""Genius!" I explaimed sarcastically, "great idea!"He rolled his eyes as he took out his phone and called Ace. Mason stood up, the phone near his left ear. He ran a hand through his hair, muttering a few curse words before placing his phone back in his pocket. He looked at me, "he's not answering.""I'm going to have a drink." I stated, standing up."You can't walk around in this place alone," Mason said with a groan, "wait right here. I'll be right back.""You can't expect me to sit here and wait for y—" Mason cut me off by placing a hand in front of me, "Ivy this place is dangerous. I'm already regretting bringing you here. I'll be right back, stay here. I'm serious. Alright?"I huffed be
A C EI was busy fucking the life out a girl when the girl was ripped off me and thrown carelessly on the ground. I already knew who did it.Mason."The fuck, Mason?" I abruptly got up from the bed, sliding on my pants and my shirt. The girl on the ground was groaning in pain as she spoke, "Ace, carry me to the bed please? I think I've strained my ankle.""Leave," I said to the girl whose name I didn't even know before looking at Mason, "What are you doing here?"He clenched his jaw, "I've been waiting for you for the past twenty minutes and you're busy fucking someone. Seriously?""You can't blame me. I haven't fucked someone since last week." I shrugged, grabbing a jacket, completely ignoring the girl on the floor. I placed a hand on Mason's shoulder, "let's go." I then walked towards the door."I brought Ivy here," he said making me stop right in my tracks. I turned around, raising my brows at him, "you did what?""I brought Ivy here. She's down, waiting in the lounge." He replied,
I V YI made my way inside the hospital, feeling my heart beat pick up with every steps I was taking. I could hear the sound of my heart beating echoing in my head making me lick my dry lips.I should never have left.I stopped walking when my eyes fell on my brother who was talking to someone over the phone. He hasn't changed, he looked exactly like he did two years ago. His brown hairs, his diamond-shaped jawline, pale skin, thin lips and green eyes. He and I shared the same hair and eyes colour; brown hairs, green eyes.He still hasn't noticed my presence yet. Whoever he was speaking to seemed to be interesting him quite a lot. I stood feet away from him, staring at him. I don't understand how he hasn't felt eyes on him. If someone was staring at me, I'd know."Excuse me?" The clearing of throat of someone made me turn my head to that person. I took in the appearance of the short bald man wearing a doctor's white coat with a stethoscope wrapped around his neck and glasses on him."

I wouldn't have helped you either.""Still an asshole, I see," I rolled my eyes, "wasn't expecting you to, either.""You know me, baby sis. Anyway, I'll leave you to arrange your things alone. I have to meet Ace.""Ace?" I repeated, "who's that?""My best friend." He replied, "I'll see you later at dinner, kay? Bye
A C E"What the fuck was that, Romano?" Damian voice was louder than someone when speaking in a mic. How? Still a mystery.I've got a theory though, maybe his parents were too loud while doing it. Fetus turned deaf while being produced. You know, when a person's normal voice is loud, it usually means he's got hearing problems."That was me winning, fucktard," I replied with a roll of my eyes as I tossed the keys to him, "you owe me three hundred dollars.""You scratched my car, bitch!" Damien caught the key and held it in between his fingers, "it's you who owe me money here, not the other way round.""We had a bet," I reminded, "I win, you give me three hundred dollars. I lose, I give you three hundred dollars and guess what? I won. You've got three minutes to hand over the money or trust me, your car will be the least of your worries.""Stop scaring the poor guy, son." The voice of my dad made me roll my eyes again, "he knew what he was getting into.""What's three hundred dollars? W

I suggested to my brainless family, "or we can order online."My mom pointed her finger at me with her eyes wide as if I suggested the best idea, "great idea! Order, quick! Order something! Anything!""I'm not ordering anything," I chuckled, shaking my head, "it's Macy's guests so he orders." Mason let

I V YWhile the adults began talking about their childhood and all boring stories, I found myself eating my pizza quietly since I had nothing interesting to say and I did not want to be part of the adults' conversation. It always ends up with something like marriage, kids and stuffs.I took a bite from my second pizza when Mason's phone started ringing.
