32. Anger

Caroline sighed repeatedly to neutralize her feelings. Since morning, Jake has repeatedly looked at her with an unusual look. She felt a little uncomfortable because of that. It was excruciating to have to work for the man who had been the most special person in her life. There was no punishment that made her suffer more than working in the same room as her ex-boyfriend.

Jake seemed to have a lot on his mind. Repeatedly, he sighed heavily, then let it out slowly. He rose to his feet, about to walk over to Caroline's desk, but decided against it. Jake sat back in his chair and then rose to his feet a few minutes later. The man looked very agitated. What he was thinking, Caroline didn't know.

"Can't you just sit and work quietly? I feel very distracted." Caroline finally snapped, having had enough of Jake's attitude.

Jake gave her a serious look. He rose to his feet, then moved over to Caroline. He looked at her intently, trying to find information.
