Chapter 5: Adopt her

In Adam’s ward, Raymond and Melody were looking at the two babies on the bed with a loving gaze. Mark came into the ward and saw the two babies and was a little confused, he said to his father, “Dad, the baby’s mother is fine now, her father is also here. We must hand over the baby to them.”

“NO”, Melody shouted anxiously.

“Mum what’s wrong”, Mark looked at her in confusion.

Melody realized that she just overreacted, she was about to say something, but before her Raymond opened his mouth, “We like this girl. I will talk to her parents we will keep the baby”

Mark was shocked, “Dad are you serious. How can it be?”

“Why can’t”, Melody asked.

“Mum she isn’t our blood and we know nothing about her family and most importantly how will we introduce her to the world.”, Mark said.

“You and Sara can adopt her”, Melody said.

“Mum doesn’t think about it. Sara hates this baby and her mother. She blames them for what happened she will never agree”, Mark said while trying to stay calm.

“Fine, I will register her with my brother in laws surname he wouldn’t mind”, Raymond said.

“Dad, why you want to do it”, Mark asked.

“Mark you know I am fond of girls and I wanted a granddaughter, Sara can’t get pregnant in the future so by adopting this baby I will have a granddaughter.”, Raymond said with a calm face.

“Dad Sara will not accept this”, Mark said.

“You have to make her accept it”, Melody said.

“Mum you too”, Mark said.

“Mark you must understand one thing Sara almost killed this baby and her mother, no matter what she says we all know who was on a mistake in this accident. So we must take the responsibility.”, Melody said.

“Mum I already paid all the expenses of mother and baby. There is no need to do more”, Mark said.

“THAT’S IT I HAVE DECIDED AND YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO OBJECT”, Raymond shouted.

Seeing his father’s expression Mark didn’t dare to say anything anymore and left reluctantly.

“Mike go and negotiate with the baby’s parents. We will pay any price they quote for her”, Raymond ordered.

“Yes master”, Mike bowed and left.

“Raymond Mark and Sara will be very upset.”, Melody said.

“I don’t care about them. Right now keeping this baby in the family is my priority.”, Raymond said.

After 20 minutes came back and informed, “Master everything is settled, both parents weren’t interested in the baby in the first place, they wanted a boy, not a girl. When I quoted 1 million they quickly agreed. They also signed the paper that says they are willingly abandoning the child and in future, they will never contact her.”

“Who you are talking about?”, while Mike was informing Sara’s anxious vice came from his behind.

Everyone looked at her.

“What going dad who you bought for 1 million?”, Sara asked.

Melody knew they have to tell her the truth sooner or later so she said, “Sara we bought the baby girl from the woman who you hit from now on this baby will belong to our family.”

“What? But why?”, Sara shouted.

Seeing her shouting Raymond said coldly, “When we gave you right to question our decision”

Hearing his cold voice Sara came to her senses she lowered her head and said calmly, “Dad I just don’t understand why you did this. That woman caused me to lose my child. How can you give her baby such a good fortune”

Raymond replied with a cold face, “I wanted her so I buy her. From today onwards she belongs to the Wilson family and no one is allowed to question. Mike, bring both children home” and then he left without looking at Sara.

Mike bowed at him and then he carried both baby chairs and went out with Melody, only Sara and Mark were left in the ward.

“Sara, calm down we can’t challenge mum and dad. And it’s just a baby our Wilson family can feed more than 100 babies you don’t have to worry.”, Mark said to comfort her.

“Mark if mum dad needs a baby girl they can adopt anyone from the orphanage but not this baby. When I see her it reminds me that I can’t be a mother anymore.”, Sara said with wet eyes.

“What nonsense you are a mother. Mother of Adam”, Mark said in anger.

“But”

“Ok just forget about her. Our son is going home after a long time, let’s go and welcome him in the family.”, Mark said and kissed her forehead.

Sara nodded and left with him.

When they reached home they just can’t believe what they just saw. Elders of the family arranged a baby girl room right next to Adam’s room and arranged two nannies for her. Whatever was bought for Adam was also bought for the baby girl. Sara was getting furious seeing this all, she can’t digest that a lowly baby was treated equally like her son.

“I and your mother are going to visit the temple the baby girl and Adam will go with us. The monk will give her a name.”, Raymond informed Mark and Sara while drinking tea in the hall. Melody was sitting beside him.

Sara gave Mark a furious look although they were not happy to see that elders treat Adam and the girl equally but they didn’t dare to question. After drink tea, Raymond and Melody left for the temple with the babies.

At the temple

“As you said this girl saved our grandson and from the day she came to our house, our house is blessed with happiness. We didn’t name her yet please name her for us.”, Raymond said to the monk.

The monk took the baby girl in his hand and said, “She was born with a great fortune but she will suffer because a lot her whole life will be a challenge but she will never surrender. She is a born warrior. She will have a very difficult life till”

“Till”, Melody asked with concern, although they adopted her for Adam after spending so much time with her they love this baby.

“Till she gets her happiness. Remember she and Adam are destined to be together, they are destined to be the reason for each other’s happiness and sorrow. This girl will endure all hardships so Adam can live a peaceful life. This girl will know as Niya”, the monk said and gave the baby back to Raymond.

“But she is a girl, we can’t keep her whole life together with Adam. Should we arrange them to marry each other”, Melody asked with concern she didn’t want to keep Niya as a slave near Adam to keep him blessed she wanted both of them to have a blessed life.

The monk smiled, “Adam will find his soulmate by himself that day he won’t need to bound Niya forcefully with himself”.

Melody was confused, “So Niya isn’t his soulmate”.

The monk smiled closed his eyes and said, “These things are set by the heavens and only heavens will answer your questions when the time comes. It’s getting dark you should go back right now or stay for night. It isn’t safe to travel at night”, then he stood up to leave.

Raymond looked at the baby girl in his hand and said with a smile “Niya my granddaughter”.

Elders of the Wilson family brought Niya and Adam back to Wilson's family villa and declared Niya the young madam of the Wilson family. They registered her name under Melody’s brother Edward Acker and gave her Acker’s surname.
