I raised an eyebrow, surprised that she didn't even know Sebastian and I had divorced.

I asked, "What did Sebastian tell you?"

She shook her head, desperation etched on her face. "I know you're in the process of getting divorced. Nicole, can you please sign the papers quickly? I really can't wait any longer."

I chuckled lightly. "Jennifer, I divorced Sebastian three months ago. From the way you're speaking, it seems he's hiding the fact that we're no longer together because he doesn't want to marry you. You should really think about why he doesn't want to marry you. Maybe he finds it more enticing to have an affair than to marry openly. After all, he enjoys sneaking around; if he cheated on me during our marriage, there could very well be someone else now."
