BACK TO EARTH

FIBI'S POV

I jumped to my side of the bed, heat creeping up my neck to my face. What was he doing here so soon? Greg told me it would take about a month to conclude everything Diego wanted them to do.

Then I saw how he was advancing slowly in the dim light. I hurriedly found the bedside switch and turned on the light. My embarrassment at the way he found me, changed into alarm in an instant, when I saw how his gray eyes had darkened.

Breathing became hard work for me. What could he be so furious about? To the best of my knowledge, I didn't do anything that should attract the level of fury in his stare.
