It rained heavily that night!...

He was drunk and drained of energy. He wanted to give up everything so badly but the thought of a lonely someone kept him sane and he wanted to fight for what they had till his last breath. That was his conclusion as he stepped into the dark cold room to find her awake staring into nothingness.

His feet felt too heavy to move once her apprehensive gaze fell on him, her countenance changed to that of a stranger.
