THE INEVITABLE

Avery's pov

I was scared from head to toe, no lies. The forest scares me. If I hadn't followed a bunch of powerful people I wouldn't try it, but now I'm following a white witch there. To console my thoughts I remembered when Wahika saved Allison from the beast, then another thought came in, Wahika could save her because she was at the peak of her powers.

"Can I go home, I'll be here at the said time," I begged her, hoping she'd let me go. This would be the eighth time I'm begging her.

It was today I knew the reason why we should knock twice before entering. The door is magical. I'm sure the seats would be magical too. Tiptoeing doesn't make noise, but she noticed. Being exhausted is never the word to use right now, but I will. "I'm exhausted!!" I yelled, Wahika stared at me, and she shook her head - that was when I knew she was determined to keep me until it was time to go.

I sat back feeling hopeless. "Why do you think I am special?" I tried to bring up a conversation
