Calen’s POV

“Beta Scott. We need to talk. Now.”

I didn’t wait for a response. Leaving my post at the throne room doors, I moved swiftly through the dimly lit corridors of the packhouse, my mind racing. Jessica was getting too close. If she managed to convince Davis of the truth, everything I’d worked for would be ruined.

I found Scott at the training grounds, watching a group of warriors spar. His sharp blue eyes met mine as I approached, and with a slight nod, he dismissed the men.

“What is it?” he asked, crossing his arms.

“She knows.”

Scott raised an eyebrow. “Jessica?”

I nodded. “She’s convinced the woman in the palace is Kyra. She won’t let this go. If she proves it, we’re finished.”

Scott exhaled, rubbing his jaw. “That’s a problem.”

“No,” I said, my voice low. “It’s an opportunity.”

His gaze sharpened. “I’m listening.”

“We need to make them believe Kyra is dead. If there’s no Kyra left to find, Jessica has nothing to fight for. We erase every trace of her from this kingdom.”

Kyra’s POV Caelan’s words lingered in my heart, their weight pressing against my chest. I couldn’t shake the memory of my mother in my dream. She had been trying to tell me something—something important. But before she could, I woke up. Was this what she had been trying to warn me about? Lost in thought, I barely noticed the soft creak of the door until a familiar voice pulled me back to reality. “Are you ready?” The feminine voice made me turn around sharply. My eyes widened in disbelief. “Alessia?” She stood there, a small smile on her lips. Before I knew it, my feet carried me toward her, and I wrapped my arms around her in a tight embrace. “I thought you were…” “Dead?” Alessia finished for me, amusement flickering in her eyes. I pulled back, searching her face, as if I needed proof that she was real. “After we were taken, Beta Scott wouldn’t tell me anything. I was terrified. I should have tried harder to find you.” “You have nothing to be sorry for.” Alessia shook her

  • FATED MATE    Chapter fifty four

Calen’s POV My blood ran cold. Alpha Davis stood before me, his sharp gaze assessing me, suspicion flickering in his eyes. He could sense something—the power of a true Alpha—but he wasn’t certain. Not yet. Many werewolves from strong lineages possessed an extra aura, a lingering dominance that set them apart. But my power was different. It was undeniable, and Davis was trying to decide whether his instincts were betraying him. His gaze bore into me. “Why are you here?” he asked, his tone measured. Dire growled in my head. “What does he mean by that? This is our mate!” I hesitated, searching for an answer that wouldn’t raise suspicion. I wasn’t afraid of him, but I needed a convincing excuse. Before I could respond, Beta Scott stepped forward. “I sent for one of your guards, and he was the one who came running.” Davis arched a brow, his smirk widening. “Why? You don’t want me here? I remember you practically begging me to marry her, and now that I’ve come to see my future Luna

  • FATED MATE    CHAPTER 1

Kyra’s POV The Mating Ball Pain throbbed in my head, a dull ache that seemed to echo with every beat of my heart. My eyes fluttered open, and for a moment, everything was blurry. The last thing I remembered was the metallic beam falling, Davis frozen in its path, and me lunging forward to push him away. The sharp sting of blood trickling down my temple was my final memory before darkness took over. A faint light from the window illuminated the room. The familiar scent of lavender lingered in the air, a scent meant to calm nerves, though it did nothing to ease the turmoil in my heart. “Where is he?” I whispered, my voice barely audible. My chest tightened as I glanced around the empty room. Davis should have been here, watching over me, worrying about me. He was the future Alpha, yes, but he was also the man I had loved for as long as I could remember. I thought of the countless moments we’d spent together as children, racing through the woods and sharing dreams under the m

  • FATED MATE    CHAPTER 2

The Mate Revelation Kyra's POV “Mate!” The word escaped my lips, raw and undeniable. It echoed in the grand hall, silencing the music and laughter like a stone dropping into a still pond. All eyes turned to me. Davis froze where he knelt before Jessica, his hand poised with the ring. His face, which had moments ago been full of confidence, was now a mixture of shock and disbelief. Jessica’s radiant smile faltered, replaced with a scowl so sharp it could cut glass. My wolf surged within me, fierce and unapologetic. He is ours. Claim him. But as the weight of my declaration sank into the room, the silence morphed into a murmur. Whispers spread like wildfire. Faces blurred together, but their judgmental eyes burned into my skin. “Kyra,” my mother hissed beside me, gripping my arm with a force that sent a jolt of pain through my already fragile body. “Stop this madness!” “I can’t,” I whispered, my voice trembling. My wolf growled in defiance, pushing me forward a step toward Davis.

Kyra's Pov Everyone turned and looked at Jessica. " Are you doubting me?" Jessica looked at Davis. " Don't tell me you believe a word coming out of her filthy mouth!" " No, my love. I will never doubt you. If there is anyone that is delusional here,it is her!" Davis shouted at me again. I felt a sharp pain in my heart. " He can't...is he.." " I am sure he is not doing what I think he wants to do." I kept hearing different thoughts or should I say my wolf was hearing them all. " Is he going to break the bond? Is Davis rejecting us?" My wolf kept asking me questions that I have no answer too. "I..Davis Emilson of the Silver moon pack hereby..." My mother works here. She is the matron and I wonder how you do know who she is." I replied sharply forgetting my problems. " Do you want to see her or not?" The guard stopped and looked at me. " I would love to see my mother but why do you have to sneak me in to see her?" I looked around the palace and I noticed the atmosphere was tensed. The guards were all mounting their position with a fearsome look on their faces. " What is going on?" I silently asked the guard " You should have asked me that before you keep asking me where your mother is. I am doing this because Selene was a good woman to me." "Who are you?" I looked at him from behind. "Girl? Isn't it obvious? I am a guard. Keep up." I followed silently behind him as we snuck through the back. I wanted to ask him why we ne

His eyes flickered with surprise—he hadn’t expected me.Good.I ignored the tense atmosphere between him, my father, and Alpha Marius. I didn’t care what they were discussing. All that mattered was stopping this farce before it went any further."What is it, Jessica?" Davis asked, his voice carrying a hint of irritation. I rememberee the slap I had dealt to his face on the mating ceremony and I knew I deserved every bit of cold attide Alpha Davis was throwing towards me. I took a step forward, my eyes never leaving his. "Did you know that woman has a lover in this kingdom?"Silence.Davis arched a brow, but I caught the way his jaw tensed. That was all I needed. My voice echoed through the grand hall as I fixed my gaze on Beta Zakaira and Alpha Marius.Neither of them flinched, but I could feel the weight of my question settling between us."Is it true that you tried to have her killed?" I asked again, my patience hanging by a thread.Beta Zakaira took a cautious step forward. "Alpha Davis, you need to understand—we are trying to protect you.""Protect me?" I let out a sharp laugh, stepping down from my throne. "Or protect your own interests?" I turned to Zakaira, my eyes narrowing. "Where were you when I called for you earlier? I wondered where you'd run off to."He didn’t answer. My gaze shifted to Alpha Marius, who stood motionless, unbothered by my accusations."And you," I continued, my voice lowering. "What did you do when my father was killed? Or when the pack doctor was murdered?" My wolf growled within me, clawing for control. "Nothing. You did nothing.
