                CHAPTER 3(THE INTRODUCTION)

Jane was still so excited about her new job that she invited Nina over.She already brought 2 glasses,poured some champagne into it and offered her friend a glass.She was so excited that even Nina was so lost.

"I have been sitting her for over 30 minutes and my dear friend has refused to tell what is making her so happy".Nina said .

"You won't believe it Nina.Your friend here..."she boasted while turning around for Nina to see her well.

"Is now the latest employee of the INFINITY company".she concluded while clapping her hands in excitement.

"Oh my God!"She stood up excitedly to hug Jane .

"I am so happy for you baby girl.How on Earth did you do it?".she asked enthusiastically.

"Well nothing serious,I just got asked a few questions and that's it.It wasn't hard at all"

"I am so happy for you and please get ready to spend on me"

"Not my money...you already have yours".They laughed over it and drank as well.

"So tell me, what's up with you and Ken?".Jane asked.

"Ken?.He is just there.No big deal"she said sarcastically.

"That's cold.Whats going on?."Jane asked concerned about her friend's cold response.

"I can't stop thinking about him?".

"Who?wait!what!...you mean you are still thinking about that beach guy?".Jane  inquired surprisingly.

"Yes.And I can't seem to forget him.No matter how hard I try.And do you know what's worst?.He hasn't called yet".

Jane couldn't believe her ears,neither could she believe her friend. She dropped her glass of wine on the table and stood up.

"Are you insane Nina.Do you know what you are saying?"

"I do.I want to meet him again".

"Then what about Ken?".

"I don't know but all I know is that I must be with Henry.He is mine and must do all it takes to get him".She said with a look of seriousness on her face.

"Bitch you are crazy.Nina please don't do this."

"You know me so well Jane.I don't easily give up.I always get what I desire.Henry is all I think of.He is all I need and I must get him".

At this point,Jane felt speechless.All she could do is stare at her friend.She has never seen her best friend in this sort of state in her life.

At the infinity company,Jane is seated in her office carrying out her duties when she received a telephone call from her boss to meet him in his office.

She came into the office and met her boss attending to a client who is no other person but Henry.She greeted them and on sighting Henry she pretended not to have seen him.She already recognized him from their collision on the day of her interview.

Henry on the other hand recognized her too but as courtesy demands,he decided to keep his cool with hopes that he has the chance to speak to her much later.

"You sent for me sir"she said referring to her boss.

"Yes I want you to organize this document.This is an important business proposal from one of the reputable companies we have in the city"he said handing her the documents.

She collected the document and gave a nice glance at Henry who was able to catch her glance this time.She hurriedly turned her face away and left the office.

"Who is she?"He asked her boss.

"That's one of my employee.Her name is Jane Williams.She just resumed work yesterday.Why?"

"I think I like her David"he said smiling.

"Then go get her"he gingered him to make a move.

At Jane's office,she was already arranging the files in her office when Henry knocked and walked in.

"Hi!"He greeted

"Hi"she responded to the greeting.

She seemed warm and welcoming to him so Henry didn't find much difficulty in speaking to her.

"I remember you from last week.We collided into each other remember?"he continued

"Oh yeah.I am really sorry about that day.I was in a rush,trying to make it to the interview that I was already late for".

"Seems you got the job congratulations".

"Thanks"

"My name is Henry,a business man and also a friend to your boss"he said bringing his hand for a handshake.

"I am Jane.I work here"she reciprocated the handshake .

"What will you be doing after work today?"

"Home ofcourse"

"I would like to drop you home after work today"he offered.

"You don't have to"she said somewhat surprised at the gesture.

"Please I insist.It would be a pleasure."

She couldn't resist his charms that she didn't know when she smiled at him thereby accepting his offer.

"Okay".She agreed.

"Thank you.I will be here by 4pm to pick you up".

"Alright then".

"Have a nice day Jane".

"You too"

He then left her office leaving Jane who was smiling at herself sheepishly.

It was already 4pm and  Henry had fulfilled his promise of coming to pick her and drop her home.Jane hopped into his car and he drove her to her home.In the car,they were stealing glances at each other.They didn't know what it was they were doing but they sure liked it.Jane smiled all the way through the journey.

On getting to the front of her compound,he stopped the car and Jane hopped out of the car.

"Thank you"she said.

"I'll call you before you sleep tonight.Try and rest your head.I will talk to you later".He said winking.

"Okay.Bye".She said while she went into her house excitedly.

Henry watched her leave as it gave him so much pleasure watching the woman he admired going into her house.

When she got inside her house,she peeped out of the window to check if he had driven out but luckily for her,that was when he was driving out.She felt joyous.It was as if she win a lottery.She picked up her phone  to call her friend Nina but on a second thought she dropped it back and went to freshen up.

At 8pm,Henry called her.

"Hello beautiful"with a deep sexy voice which made her feel so happy.

"Hi".

"I called as I promised".

"I can see that you are a man of your words".she complimented.

He went further to ask her what she was doing and what she was going to do before going to bed.She responded friendly.The call took up to 2 hours before they decided to bid themselves goodnight.

"So dinner tomorrow?"he asked.

"Sure".

"Okay great... tomorrow then"

"Yeah".

"Good night beautiful"

"Good night Henry".She concluded after which she allowed him to cut the call.

She felt a sudden peace that she hasn't felt in awhile.Excited that she made the best call of the moment,she retired to bed.
