EPISODE 2: DON'T YOU HATE ME?
"Wow! Thank you for leaving me alone with my mother." I was about to go to bed when Justin came in and practically screamed at me. It was clear that he wanted to argue with me, and the more I gave in to his demands, the more eager he became. " Hmm! You are welcome". I said this, smiled, and got into bed to sleep. He said nothing else and walked away; I could tell he was not expecting me to say those words; he was actually preparing to argue with me. I was in bed, attempting to sleep, when he emerged from the bathroom. His entire body was drenched in water; his hair, waist, and even the towel around his waist could not save him. After he finished cleaning his body, he turned around and drew my attention to him. He used to make advances toward me, but now that he is in a relationship with his mistress, everything has changed. He may assume that I have no idea; I just can not believe that he would be willing to date a single mother who may or may not be the wife of another man. Justin walked past my side of the bed, then lay down on it and turned off the lights... I did not like sleeping with the lights on, so we always kept a lamp by my side. I turned away from him, and after a few hours of soliloquizing with myself, I was finally able to talk myself to sleep. The following morning, preparations for my father-in-law's death anniversary were underway; everyone at home was working to ensure that everything went as planned. "Good Morning." My mother-in-law turned to greet me. She was trying to put some flowers in the flower vase. "Good morning; how was your night?" I joined her in stacking the flowers properly in the vase. "I slept well; how about you, and where is my son?" I looked to the door. When I awoke, Justin was not in the room. He might have gone out to work while I slept alone in the king-sized bed. "I do not know... Is he not home?" I narrowed down the possibility that he was at home. When I mentioned that Justin might be at home, she asked me to go upstairs and check in his home office; I nodded and left... I approached the door, aimlessly standing without doing anything. What is happening, and why does it feel like I do not have any bones in my body? As I stood outside, I began to notice movements inside. It took me a few minutes to feel motivated to do something. I put my hand forward, knocked on the door, and then heard him talking on his phone... It was obvious that he was speaking with his mistress, the woman he wanted to spend the night with; what was so special about her that he did not want to wait an entire day before speaking with him? " Hey! I miss you." He addressed his mistress. " I miss you too, i am just preparing for my father's death anniversary." He continued to speak, but only after his mistress had finished speaking... I stood at the door and overheard their conversation. It was fascinating to learn that he was this romantic. Do not get me wrong, my husband has always been romantic, but everything changed when he decided to be distant from me and act as if I did not matter to him. "Cynthia, why are you standing there?, go in". My mother-in-law appeared out of nowhere and gently pushed the door open, leading us inside. Justin had to stop his phone call right away; he even tried to prevent his phone from falling to the ground. "Mom, what are you doing here?" He was unable to speak properly. " Hmm! What do you mean?" She approached her son. Justin became immediately uncomfortable. He did not want his mother to learn about his relationship with another woman; if there is one thing Justin's mother despises, it is the fact that her son has a mistress outside of the family home. "Are you okay, Son?, are you sad?" She turned to look at me. "Do not you think so?" I had to look closely at my husband. Should I agree with my mother-in-law or dismiss her feelings about her son? Aside from that, Justin acted strangely. I was able to change the subject by complaining about Justin's office being unkempt; my mother-in-law picked it up and, as usual, went outside to yell at the housekeepers at home. " Phew! Thank you. He said this after his mother left the room. "Thank you... Why are you thankful to me? Is it because I kept your mother from discovering that you have an extramarital affair with a woman?" My emotions got the best of me. I assumed he would deny that he was not talking to anyone else. Justin confirmed the truth and showed no sympathy; it was as if he did not care that he had another woman outside our home... " Hmm! So, how do you know the truth? He asked the question while holding one hand to his face. "I am not sure, maybe I know you that well...." I smiled and asked, "So, who is she?". I took a step forward and lined my hair with my fingers. "What do you mean?, there is no one". He tried to manipulate me. Unfortunately for him, it did not work. I knew the truth, and the only thing he could say was the truth. " Fine!! Her name is Rebecca, and she is a single mother. He began by calling out her name. "A single mother?, are you her daughter's father?" I posed another question... Justin immediately shook his head. " No! I am not the father. He said and practically swore with everything he had... " Hmm! Okay, I can hear you." I nodded and was about to leave when he called back. " Cynthia?" Before I could turn around and confront him, he came to a stop. " What! What just happened?" I paused there, refusing to speak further. "Are not you upset with me because I have another woman in my life?" He wanted to know my thoughts on it. As much as I wanted to tell him the truth, it was better to keep certain things to myself. I did not like the fact that he had a mistress, but then again? Do I really care?EPISODE 3 : DIVORCE I informed Justin that I had no intention of ending his relationship with his mistress, and he was taken aback; he had not expected such a calm reaction after discovering the truth.Others in my situation might scream and cause a scandal, but I know what I wanted, a goal that should be met.I returned and continued with the preparations, after ensuring that the chairs and other items required for the anniversary were in place. Later, mom asked me to go to the bakery and get the cake from the chef.I went to the bakery, and there was a young woman sitting at the front desk. She did not appear to be the chef, but I approached her anyway and we talked."Good morning, madam.... How can I help you? She opened the register and smiled back at me." Hmm! Where are your parents? I would like to take my cake." I told her.She was generous enough to return her legs to the kitchen to inform her parents, who took fifteen minutes before bringing out my cake _ the young girl ret
EPISODE 4: FRIEND OR FOE As soon as I finished getting ready for the death anniversary, my mother-in-law and I walked to the front door and began greeting guests. She sent me on an errand.I was about to go upstairs to call Evie down when I noticed my husband pacing back and forth, which he usually does when he is hiding something."Justin, is everything fine?"I held back from taking another step because he had such a disorganized expression on his face, which is typically when he is about to tell me what he has done. "Nothing is wrong".After much stalling, he was finally able to open his mother and speak to me.It was clearly not the case; something had happened, and he refused to tell me.What was going on that he refuses to tell me about.I left him alone because he was unwill
