EVELYN'S POV:

"Happy birthday, Evelyn," Leonard whispered in my ear.

I stood in front of the Bentley Continental GT, stunned and speechless. It was everything I’d ever dreamed of. Overwhelmed, I walked to the car, took the keys from one of the guards, and ignited the engine. The smooth hum sent a thrill through me, and I screamed a thank you from inside before stepping out.

The car was stunning, a perfect reflection of my long-held wish. I couldn’t hold back my excitement and jumped into Leonard’s arms, wrapping myself around his neck. "Thank you so much!" I exclaimed, tears of joy streaming down my face. Overcome with emotion, I kissed him, and he deepened the kiss, making the world around us fade for a moment.

He grabbed me by butt and pulled me as if going inside his body.

And the kiss we shared deppened like it was never ending.

Cheers and congratulations snapped me back to reality as the crowd clapped around us. Leonard laughed and hugged me tightly. "You're welcome, Evelyn. I’m just glad you like it."

Music began playing, and Leonard extended his hand toward me. Smiling, I took it, and we swayed to the rhythm together. As we danced, he leaned close, his breath brushing against my ear, sending shivers down my spine. I felt the weight of the crowd around us, but all I wanted was to leave and be alone with him.

As if reading my mind, Leonard whispered, "You want to go now?"

I nodded, impressed by how he always noticed even the smallest shifts in my mood. We slipped away quietly and headed to his car.

"Thank you again, Leonard," I said, my voice filled with genuine gratitude. "This is the best birthday present I’ve ever received." Even though I could easily afford such a car with my dad's support, it was the thought and effort Leonard put into everything that moved me. How long had he been planning this?

We drove toward my house, laughing and teasing each other. Then, abruptly, Leonard stopped the car and turned to me, holding my hands.

"You are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen," he said, his voice low and sincere. "Your heart is as stunning as your looks. I hope this birthday marks the beginning of everything you deserve."

Every word Leonard had said had its effect on me.

Before I could respond, he kissed me, and I melted into it, grabbing his neck to deepen the kiss. The heat between us rose quickly, and without hesitation, he adjusted the seats.

In no time, we were in the backseat, our lips locked in a fervent kiss. I climbed onto his lap, his hands roaming over my body as I moaned softly. I adjusted and opened his zipper, his dick ready to swing into action as it faced me fully erected and I jumped on it in excitement consuming the whole of it in my pussy.

As I rode on him, he held my butt cheeks with both hands giving the comfort we'd needed.

He let out a groan and held tight on me. I knew he was about to cum and I stayed consistent.

The air around us grew thick with desire, and soon, we gave in completely. Every touch, every movement, was electric, and the world outside disappeared.

I was reaching orgasm as I moaned his name and I rode at my own pace and we both climaxed at a time.

It was ecstasy.

When we were done, I rested my head on his chest, trying to catch my breath. Reaching for a bottle of water from the front seat, I took a sip and handed it to him.

"That was heaven, Evelyn," he said with a smile. Embarrassed by the redness I felt creeping up my cheeks, I looked away, quickly jumping back into the front seat. Leonard joined me shortly, placing a soft kiss on my lips before starting the car again.

As we arrived at my house, I noticed Caleb standing outside. A surge of irritation ran through me. What was he doing here?

Leonard parked the car, his expression unreadable. I stepped out and approached Caleb.

"Even though it’s not too late, you shouldn’t be outside someone’s house like this. What do you want, Caleb?" I asked firmly.

"Evelyn, I’m trying to make things right," he said, his tone almost pleading. "You’ve been ignoring my calls and texts. I came to check on you, but Dad said you weren’t home, so I waited."

I suddenly realized I hadn’t checked my phone since the day before. "I’m fine, Caleb," I said curtly. "I’ve been out and just got back. I’m tired, so let’s talk another time."

Disappointment flickered across his face, but he didn’t push further. "Who were you out with?" he asked cautiously.

"If I were you, I’d mind my business," I replied, walking away.

Leonard and I entered the house, leaving Caleb behind. As we passed him, I noticed him straining to see who was with me.

That night, Leonard stayed over. We sat in the living room, chatting and laughing, until he brought up Aaron’s name.

The mood shifted immediately as Leonard told me Aaron had been involved in sabotaging my presentation. He had orchestrated the chaos, and the revelation hit me like a truck.

Aaron? I hadn’t been close to him since college, and we’d barely interacted. Why would he do this? The news was both shocking and disheartening.

Leonard explained further, assuring me he’d been keeping an eye on the situation. I felt a surge of gratitude toward him. If it weren’t for Leonard, I’d never have known. Still, I decided to put thoughts of Aaron aside for the evening.

As the night wore on, Leonard and I talked about lighter things, and I felt a sense of peace and happiness in his presence.

The next morning, Leonard woke early to leave for work. I walked him to the door, wrapping my arms around him for a final hug.

"Thank you for everything, Leonard," I whispered.

"Always, Evelyn," he replied before stepping out

Suddenly, the door creaked open, pulling my attention to the figure standing in the doorway. It was Leonard, and my heart skipped a beat as our eyes met. EVELYN'S POVIt was the first time I'd seen Leonard so cold and detached. His piercing gaze bore into Aaron's soul, and his voice was firm and commanding. The tension in the room was palpable, like the sharp crackle of high-voltage electricity, I watched Leonard’s personality switch.I struggled to collect myself, focusing on the unfolding situation. Aaron was pleading his innocence, insisting he had done nothing wrong. But Leonard wasn’t buying it. His anger was evident in the tight lines of his jaw and the sharpness of his tone. “Cut that off.” He said in a cold tone.“The sooner you stop lying, the safer it’ll be for you,” Leonard warned icily. Then came the questions, each one like a carefully aimed bullet:“Why did you ensure Evelyn's project was terminated? Why did you want to bring down the company? Who do you work with? And why do you work with them?”Leonard’s men stood nearby, their expressions stoic and unreadable, ready to act at the slightest cue. EVELYN’S POV:It had been over two months since the failed surgery. My dad had been living on what felt like a miracle ever since. Each day with him was a gift, a fragile thread holding him here. Leonard, Mia, and the caregiver had been the pillars of support I leaned on during those challenging months.Ryan and River visited often, bringing small moments of joy, but today wasn’t about my dad or them. Today, it was my turn on the hospital bed. Inside the labor room, I lay ready—or as ready as anyone could be—to meet the life I had carried for nine months. The pain I felt was incomparable, beyond anything I’d ever imagined.I clung tightly to Leonard’s hand. He stood beside me, his calm voice trying to pierce through my haze of agony. “You’re doing so well, babe. Just a little more.”A doctor—or maybe a nurse or midwife—entered the room, her expression calm yet purposeful. I knew it was time. She held a syringe, walking briskly toward me.“Hello, madam. Afterward, she requested to see the twins.“But they had left only yesterday!” I protested. The twins had become a big part of our lives, visiting from time to time. Even though they stayed at their grandparents’ house, their bond with Evelyn remained strong. They were so fond of her that they never wanted to leave whenever they came over. The feeling was mutual.“But I miss them,” she said, pouting her lips. “We won’t stay long; it’ll just be a brief visit.”“I know, but the doctor said you need rest.
