Chapter 12: Birthday Banquet (2)

Nobles arrived constantly, many aristocrats and influential figures arrived, at the entrance, the hands of the maids who were constantly welcoming guests and helping accept the presents were about to go stiff.

"His Highness First Prince and First Princess Consort has arrived. His Highness Second prince and Second Princess Consort has arrived."

The chamberlain who stood at the entrance who keep quiet the whole time suddenly announced. He is responsible for announcing the arrivals of the members of the royal families.

Everybody stopped what they are currently doing as they look towards the entrance as they smiled and greeted the Princes & Princesses.

In this era, although the royal family is at the top of the pyramid, they still develop and adapt to the changes as it was not required anymore to kneel when giving greetings to them not like in the past.

A few minutes passed by and the voice of chamberlain rang again in the noisy hall, "His Majesty Emperor and Her Majesty Empress has Arrived! Her Highness Third Princess, and Her Highness Seventh Princess has arrived!"

After hearing that, the noisy hall becomes quiet as even the music became audible and low as four figures entered the hall.

It was a man and woman, and both of them looks like in their late twenties and two young girls are the four figures who just entered. Just a glance and you can immediately tell that the four of them are related to each other.

The man is Emperor Huang Nian Zhen, he wore a white suit and you can tell that his clothes are made with meticulous care. He is already 78 years old this year but he had an appearance in his late twenties. As the emperor, he is also an expert with an internal force so the people are not surprised to see that he looks young.

While the woman on his right side who's holding his arm is Empress Yun Ying Yue. The Empress is 72 this year but she looks in her late twenties and couple with her black fitted dress, she looks stunning. After all, she currently held the title of the number one beauty in Edrinon.

While at their back, two young girls stood straight and their being is full of grace and nobleness. On the right side is the Third princess, Fei Hong who wore a tight silver gown with a split in her right leg that reaches until her thigh. 

She's 50 years old this year but she looks to be in her early twenties and many noblemen pursue her but she remains indifferent and high just like the meaning of her name, Fei Hong, she is a "swan goose soaring high in the sky", that no one can reach and touch but can only look up at her. She is a well recognized genius in martial arts and has a very strong inner force that's why she looks very young.

While the other young lady is the youngest child of the Emperor and the Empress; The Seventh Princess Xie Yu. She is 14 years old this year and although she is still young, it cannot hide the beauty and innocence of her face. Tonight she wore a pure white long sleeve dress that reaches the floor and she naturally emits the aura of pureness.

The Emperor and the Empress sat at their table together with their children and the music continued to play but there still a lot of people secretly gazing at the legendary Seventh Princess.

The Seventh Princess rarely appears at public gathering and she is heavily protected by the royal family whenever she is seen outside the Imperial Palace.

Princess Xie Yu did not smile ever since she entered the hall but no one takes offense as her face has always had the expression of gentle and calmness while her entire being emits purity and sacredness, that no one even tried to approach her just thinking that they committing blasphemy towards her.

Today, basically all the nobles of the world had come, although the presidents of the other countries did not attend, they still send an ambassador to attend the birthday party of the twins of the Royal Family.

But the guests with higher statutes and hold real power cannot help but look towards the door from time to time as they search for the figure of the Crown Prince. 

The Crown Prince of Edrinon is the Sixth Prince and he is only 16yrs old this year. When he was born, he was crowned as the Crown Prince and that shocks the world as normally, the eldest son of the Emperor would be the successor of the throne, unless the Election son is incapable. 

But the Eldest Prince is very capable so they are confused why make the newly born youngest prince as the Crown Prince?

The Emperor made the newly born Six prince the crown prince but he rarely appeared all these years. The Crown Prince was only last seen at his 12th birthday party 4years ago, and since then, he has never appeared in public again.

And now that his older twin siblings celebrate their 39th birthday, they cannot help but expect to see him together with his family. After all, even if the Crown Prince didn't appeared in Public for four years already, The people in different factions cannot still wait to meet him.

All of them knew the reason why the Crown Prince doesn't appeared in public for four years and that's he was send by his Majesty Emperor in a mission although they don't know what Is it and where is it. So they can only wait for him to appear on his own.

And today is a special day, so there's a high chance that they will meet the mysterious Crown Prince.

The former spacious grand hall has already become bustling with activities. Luxurious clothes moved everywhere while the head of each family greeted each other and started to chat.

Many high-grade foods and delicious fruits were laid out on each table together with fragrant glasses of wine accompanied by the soft lovely music being played.

After all the guests have arrived, the banquet officially started.

When the guest did not saw the arrival of the crown prince, they were disappointed but they immediately throw it at the back of their head as they heard the live soft music being played by well-known musicians, and the Fourth Prince Lei Xie and Fifth Princess, Hai Yun slowly descended the stairs.

Tonight, Fourth Prince Lei Xie wore a white three-piece suit, and he, who stood at 184 cm, coupled with his good stature and good looking face, with a gentle smile, and together with his black raven and grey eyes, he looks like an angel that descended in the mortal realm.

While the Fifth Princess wore a black fitted tube gown and her waist-length raven hair has been in style in a simple messy bun. Her long and left white leg are visible because of the slit of her black seductive fitted gown. With her playful yet flirty smile plastered in her fox face, she looks like an enchanting fox demon, who can make men go crazy for her.

These twins of the royal family are regarded as the Yin and Yang. The Fourth Prince is the Yin, which is white like an angel and the Fifth Princess is the Yang, which just like a devil. Although the Yang should be the male and Yin should be the female. But both of them completely overturned the usual Yin and Yang.

Both of them slowly descended the stairs, attracting every person's gaze in the hall. Some Young masters and Young Ladies became resolute to attract their attention.

Of course, who would not want to marry such a beautiful person? They are not only had the most prestigious status in the world, but they also had the looks and brains, of course, many want to climb in this perfect branch!

The Emperor stood up as the twins approached their table as he opened his mouth and said, "Today is my beloved twins' thirty-ninth birthday, Zhen will express a sincere gratitude for everybody for coming tonight..."

With a typical ending of the speech, the Fourth Prince and Fifth Princess open the dance floor as they started to dance together while the others watched them first.

Fourth Prince Lei Xie tightens his arm around the waist of his younger twin sister as he looks at her face with a gentle smile. "You charmed many men tonight Yun'er."

Fifth Princess Hai Yun smiled charmingly at his older twin as she hugged him in the neck that made them both stood very closely before she said softly, "You're very handsome tonight. Many people thought that you are like an angel but they never thought how a monster can you be in certain matters."

When Fourth Prince Lei Xie heard that he cannot help but laugh lightly as he murmured, "Who's fault is it why I became like that, hmm?"

Hearing that, Fifth Princess Hai Yun raised her charming eyes and smiled seductively at his older twin brother and murmured, "I guess it's my fault? Although I really love that side of yours!"

"Your really naughty." - Fourth Prince Lei Xie said

'Don't forget your surrounding. There are still a few people who can hear your conversation!"

Both of them immediately showed a horrified expression but they immediately conceal it as they gaze at each other as Fifth Princess Hai Yun exclaimed softly, 'The Crown Prince is here?'

'I am here. Although I don't care what both of you do, but you should know how to judge if the place is appropriate or not. You don't want people to suspect anything about you right?'

Both of the twins heard the voice in their head again as they immediately became serious and both of them look at each other eyes before they both completely calmed down.

"I apologize Your Highness Crown Prince for letting you see such a indecent sight." - Fourth Prince Lei Xie murmured as he continue dancing with Fifth Princess.

'Both of you need to behave from now on. This is still not yet the time for letting people know about your relationship. Do You understand what this Crown Prince say?' 

"Yes Your Highness Crown Prince." - Fourth Prince Lei Xie and Fifth Princess Hai Yun murmured simultaneously. After that they didn't hear any voice in their mind anymore so they sigh inside.

After the music finished being played, the Fourth Prince smiled as he says to the crowds,  "The dance floor has now officially open, ladies and gentlemen please enjoy."

After he finished his speech, He held the hand of his twin as they both walk towards the table of their family, but no one noticed except from the two of them that both of their hands became sweaty as they gripped each other hands because of nervousness they felt earlier.

The young masters started to approached young ladies they fancied as they invited them to dance while the Emperor and Empress stayed seated as they chatted at their table together with their children and daughter-in-law.
