Chapter 11: Birthday Banquet(1)

"It's been a few days since father saw you. And even though your sitting in a wheelchair, your still handsome, and your momentum did not decrease at all. You really deserve to be the successor of mine." - Wei Jing Guan laugh heartily as he pats Zhi Yin shoulder.

Zhi Yin's eyes calmly gaze at Wei Jing Guan but it can be seen in those eyes how he 'respect' his 'father.'

"Father, Let's go?" - Wei Zhi Yin asked as he smiled lightly.

It's already five in the afternoon and the banquet would start at six-thirty at night and it would take for an hour to go to the palace. So they need to go now.

Wei Jing Guan nodded while the smiles did not leave his face as both of them entered the back seat of the car and they traveled towards the Imperial Palace as they were escorted by two cars.

"Son, Don't you have any girl do you like?" - We Jing Guan suddenly asked

Wei Zhi Yin blink and said, "I don't have one."

Wei Jing Guan sigh as he looks at his son. His son is very outstanding and handsome although they don't look like each other, he did not suspect it as he already made a DNA test and he also saw that his son Zhi Yin have similarities with his mother the more he grows older.

He is very satisfied with this son of his as Zhi Yin would tell him immediately if he is not content with him, his father and that's one of the personalities of his mother.

Zhi Yin told him that he doesn't like his wife, Huang Hao Li so he moved out of the Imperial Capital and Wei Jing Guan knows that Zhi Yin holds a grudge towards his wife as she was the reason why Zhi Yin does not have a mother while growing up.

Wei Jing Guan feels guilty towards his only son that's why he pampered him and genuinely cared for him. Furthermore, This son of his is very sensible & smart. Who wouldn't like a son like him?

"Then, take this chance to meet young ladies at the banquet. A lot of families also enquired about you already when they heard that you are already recovering.

I also heard that their daughters took fancy of you but of course, I did not promise anything as I only said that it will depend on you, children, if you will like each other or not.

So, take this chance to loosen up, You don't need to be proper all the time. You're still young after all, So you can still play just like the other Young Masters. Don't be hard on yourself." - Wei Jing Guan said

Wei Zhi Yin blink as he smiled lightly and said, "I understand dad."

After that, Wei Jing Guan continued to ask what Wei Zhi Yin plan for this coming months.

Inside the palace, Young ladies from different families gathered in groups as they talk about their outfits and which salons they went to.

Then suddenly, a young lady which around sixteen to seventeen years old said in a low voice enough to be heard by the young ladies around her.

"Hey, My father said that Young Master Wei will attend today."

When the young ladies heard that, their ears perk up.

"Really? But isn't Young mater Wei still recovering?"

"But my father said to me that Young Master Wei is recovering very fast and that he might be able to walk after only a year or so of rehabilitation. After all, He is an expert in martial arts so with the help of his inner force, He can recover very fast.

That's why my mother personally makes our designer design a new gown for me tonight and mom specially hired a hairstylist and make-up artist to dress me up tonight.

After all, Young Master Wei is very aloof and it's hard to meet him, so tonight is a very rare chance." Another Young girl who is wearing a starry night sky gown said while blushing.

"My mother also doll me up tonight. After all, Young Master Wei doesn't have any girlfriend yet, So tonight is really a rare chance."

One of the girl look around before lowering her voice as she said, "I agree with you. But my mother is still hesitating. After hearingthat, The girls cannot help but laugh in small voice as one of the girl said, "How could that be? There's no way she can still give birth."

While the young girls are talking at the side, the music in the hall suddenly turn soft as gaps and murmured can be heard in the surrounding as they look at the entrance of the hall.

There standing at the door, two figures stood up straight and one sitting on a wheelchair. On the right, there was a man who stood at 178 cm tall, with an appearance of late thirties, who are wearing a grey suit and this man is no other than Wei Jing Guan.

While on his left side, a handsome man in his middle twenties who are 186 cm tall was standing as he has a stoic expression. He is wearing a black suit for bodyguards and he was pushing a wheelchair.

This man is no other than Ying Wei while the one in a wheelchair is Wei Zhi Yin. Although Wei Zhi Yin is sitting in a wheelchair, his momentum and indifferent aura make the others hold themselves back by looking down on him.

Wei Zhi Yin is only 16 years old this year but he is already tall so his lean and tall stature cannot be concealed even though he is sitting in a wheelchair.

With his handsome young face, silver hair, and his black calm eyes, paired up with his black suit, with a glance, you could immediately tell that he was born above others.

He has looks, a good status, he is also expert in martial arts and a well deserves genius. He already graduated with a degree before his accident happened so he also doesn't need to go to school.

With these facts alone, He is very popular with the young ladies as they ignore the fact that he is an illegitimate child. After all, he is already the recognized Young Patriarch of the Wei Guardian Family and the successor of Prime Minister Wei even if he is not registered in the family tree because of the Left Prime Minister Wife.

The three of them entered as Wei Jing Guan started to walk towards the other people who also work in the royal court, while Wei Zhi Yin followed as he was being pushed by Ying Wei, they are two steps behind Wei Jing Guan while Zhi Yin wore a calm and slight gentle smile.

As the young girls saw that, they immediately flushed, that even their neck became red but they cannot take off their eyes towards Zhi Yin.

As the madams saw their daughters react like that, they cannot help but sigh but they also cannot blame their daughters as the son of Left Prime Minister Wei is really handsome and even them, a mother wished that they were born later so that they can have a chance with this recognize Young Man in the current generation.

"Old Wei, I did not saw your son for more than a year who would have thought that he would become more handsome again." - Right Prime minister Zhou Ha said

"That's right. I am very envious of you, how could you have an outstanding son like him. Not like my son who only knows how to play around. He is always giving me problems." - The ministry of affairs said, Ma Ping.

Wei Jing Guan laughs as he pats his son's shoulder and said, "You don't know this, but I am also having a headache because of Zhi Yin. Even though he already finished his study, he still thinking of having another degree again before his accident happened.

My son only thinks about studying that he did not even spend time with me. I even told him that it's okay to play around sometimes and he said that he understands but he never really did.

Having a son like him who isn't outgoing and always serious also makes me worried. He really doesn't know how to loosen up and relax." - Although Wei Jing Guan laments that, it cannot hide the pride that he has for having a son like Wei Zhi Yin.

While Zhi Yin only smiled after hearing Wei Jing Guan spout nonsense as he greeted them politely  before excusing himself as Ying Wei immediately pushed him as they blend in the crowd before disappearing in the corner of the hall, where no one saw him again.
