Just then my phone rang, and my frustration skyrocketed. I glanced at the caller ID, and my eyes narrowed at the name flashing on the screen 'Harriet'. 'I'm sincerely not in the mood for her pretentiousness' it kept ringing, making me increasingly annoyed. "What?" I asked coldly, my tone icy. Harriet hesitated, clearly sensing my frustration. "uhmm..uhm, did i disturb your work?" she asked innocently. i calmed down, she isn't the cause of my frustration while transferring it to her?. "I'm sorry for the way i sounded, work stress” "I understand brother Elvis, I am at your house but you are not back yet, I brought your favorite." " Yeah, I'm busy, " I said, fabricating a convenient excuse." I went for a business meeting." The lie rolled off my tongue effortlessly, and I hope Harriet buys that. "Okay". she replied disappointed before hanging up. (P. S: ensure to read this for better understanding- The penthouse where Elvis took Tessa to is not his usual reside, but one of his properties, mostly where he stays whenever he wants to be alone) As I dropped the phone, my mind drifted back to the woman downstairs. A mix of emotions swirling inside me, frustration, anger, annoyance words can't seem to express my emotions. The more I thought about her, the more my irritation grew. What is it about her? Who is Rolex? The question kept on echoing in my mind, but I had no answers. I picked up my phone to message my assistant, when I heard a loud scream, obviously coming from downstairs. ‘it's definitely that little woman’ The scene I saw downstairs made me dumbfounded. The petite woman stood confidently, hands on her hips, while the servants are worked up on how to calm her down. I couldn't help but smile widely, while she faced me with anger and the servants were surprised at what made me smile. "Oh wow, you screamed to get my attention, here I am" I said amused while I moved closer to where she was standing. I couldn't help but bend to perceive the scent of rose on her hair while wondering about the skin products she is using. But before I could process anything else, she slapped me, her anger boiling over, the sound echoed through the room, and the servants gasped in shock. "Who do you think you are, Elvis?" she demanded, her voice laced with venom. "We broke up 7 years ago. What am I doing here? You want to talk business? Then go on, while keeping me here, what do you want from me? This isn't 7 years ago when I'd sit and watch you misbehave with me. We're done. If you have any business to discuss, send it through my email or we'll meet in your office. Have a nice day." As she turned to leave, picking up her bag and striding towards the door, I couldn't bear to watch her walk away. I swiftly scooped her up in my arms, cradling her in a bridal hold. She kicked and shouted, her fists striking my chest, but I didn't flinch. My strength far surpassed hers, and I easily carried her to the room next to mine, her struggles only seeming to fuel my determination. As I kicked the door shut behind us, she continued to rail against me, her anger and frustration evident. But I remained resolute, my grip unyielding. I set her down on the bed, my grip still tight but gentle, yet still firm. "Let's talk" I said , my voice low and even. " I'm not letting you go, until you strike a contract with me. " " we have nothing to talk about, and if you are talking about our business it should be in your office not your house" she replied angrily " stay with me for 2 weeks, and i will offer you the deal you are here for, then you can leave freely or i will lock you here and you will never leave”. " you can't keep me here against my will, I'll call the cops, I'll-" "Go ahead," I said with a hint of amusement dancing in my voice. which I'm sure she got the hint, cause she went completely silent. "think about it". i said before strolling out the door ensuring it's locked, then left with the key. if she chose the first option, I'm prepared to hold my ground, 2 weeks might seem a little long but I'm confident in my ability. As i thought about leaving her with no option a sly smile played on my lips.
