CHAPTER NINETY (The Kidnap)

Something wasn't right, all the eyes turned in my direction. If I could, I would have disappeared from there. I lowered my eyes and clutched my bag with both hands. I should have waited for him. The aura that filled the room was intimidating. Would have stood firm and looked up at their faces if I had felt anything less.

"We will have to adjourn, I need to attend to my wife" No other person would say that except Lucas. I lifted my dull face, swallowed the fright that I once felt, and looked at him. There he was, in his best mood, with a black suit over a white striped shirt. The man of my dreams. I smiled as I heard that from him. He has done nothing since I met him other than being sweet. His way of treating me like a queen made me love him more.
