CHAPTER NINETY-ONE (The Kidnap)

Those words sank into my heart, causing my heart a lot of pain. I looked up at Lucas, his eyes were also on me. I needed help, not just from any person, but from him. As if he knew what was going on in my mind, he stood from his seat and walked towards me. His palms were cold, and as he hugged me, I felt his heart pumping faster than normal.

I felt a liquid drop from his face to my head, I looked up from his chest, I thought he had shaded tears, but it was just his sweat. I wasn't disappointed, the sweat was more than tears. It makes me know how touched he was, how well he understands how I'm feeling, and how willing he is to help me. Because if not so, what would make a healthy man sweat in an AC room?

"Pls help me, Lucas, I don't want to lose my mum."

"Not a string of her hair will miss. I promise you that." He was so sure, I could feel it, from his voice I believed him. He turned to the guy sitting next to me.
