CHAPTER EIGHTY-THREE (Poison Truth)

She stepped out of the elevator which looked like a house, her face was all bright up with a smile. I tried to maintain a calm face too while accessing every detail of her expressions.

"I brought your food, ma'am Helen," she said after stepping closer to where I was standing.

"My food? You didn't tell me you were a chef Jane" I said to her still smiling. I stepped forward and peeped inside the cart.

"What's in there?" I pointed at one of the covered foods.

"It's a special egg benedict, I know you'll like it, I made it with hollandaise sauce and a bit of beacon." She said smiling. The name of the food was enough to reject it. I was never a fan of poached eggs. Even as a kid, my mum would always try her best to convince me to eat it, but all her effort was abortive. I placed my right hand on my mouth so I won't be tempted to vomit.

"What's that? Don't you like eggs?" She must have noticed my unusual face and probed.

"Not really, so Jane, when did you become a chef?" She smiled
