Mila’s POV

Slowly, I made my way back over to Beta Ryker, praying that he would have sympathy upon me, with what just happened, as he continued to stare at me, noticing the pain in my eyes. When I was within a few feet of him, I stopped, putting my head down, as he quickly moved around me, obviously looking at my back where the man in charge had inflicted my wound.

“We need to get you to the pack doctor. Without your wolf, it won’t heal on its own.” Beta Ryker said to me with worry in his voice, as he reappeared in front of me, before he says to me, “You are lucky I got here when I did, it could have been much worse.”

I knew that he had stopped the man in charge from hurting me, and I was thankful for that, but I also knew that he was the reason that everyone knew that I was Alpha Gunner’s breeder. He was the one that had announced it to the pack upon entering the dining room, but I knew that he was probably just doing what Alpha Gunner
