Chapter 17

Mila’s POV

Thankfully, the pack doctor had Alpha Gunner stitched up in a matter of no time, as the bleeding began to clot like it should have, and he now prepared a syringe that would wake him. My eyes continued to stare at the doors, still in fear that someone would burst through them at any moment, as I waited for Alpha Gunner to wake up, but everything seemed normal.

I began to second guess what the pack doctor was insinuating was going on here, as there were no signs that Alpha Gunner’s life was still in danger. If they knew that he was badly wounded, I would have thought that they would have rushed in to finish him off, but that wasn’t the case.

“Mila, I need you to grab ahold of his hand, because I don’t know what state of mind he will be in when I awaken him.” The pack doctor says to me, as he stands beside Alpha Gunner holding the syringe to the flesh of his arm, waiting for me to comply with what he is asking of me.
