Why Is She Like That? (2)

“Are you awake?”

A foreign voice that weirdly resonated inside her more than she liked hit her eardrums. 

“You still have a big injury behind your back.”

Unlike two days ago, Elijah wasn’t woken up by the throbbing and aching shoulder, that horrible sensation that demanded immediate attention, rather she was woken up by the sound of the rough voice asking her whether she was okay, or not.

“Elijah?”

“Ryuzaki?” She managed to call him in a rather croaky voice. “Ehem.” She coughed.

Unlike before, she was well hydrated. Whoever was nursing her did a good job to serve her while she was unconscious.
