The late-night talk didn’t end with what she was hoping for. Malikul disappeared at early dawn, leaving the topic behind with his crew. Even if she wanted to discuss it, she had no opportunity to do so as she was also swarmed with work.

Her people came and left with mountains of paperwork and haggard faces. None of them complained, though, as the pay was exceeding the average rate. Working with Shadow was hellish but the pay was worth it.

Furthermore, Shadow was easier to work with. She wasn’t a difficult boss.

However, she valued efficiency. Luckily, everyone was worth every penny. They were extremely good at it.

Therefore, when Shadow called Priscilla and Midas to talk about the technology and satellites - their frowns deepened. A hint of scowl could be traced on their faces and their eyes were staring at her as if she was crazy.

“What do you mean by satellites, My Lord?”
