The Rich Reaction

“That’s right. That’s who I am. Here are you faring under the new rule of the wise emperor?”

The sudden interrogation met with only a wind sound. No one answered her playful question and plastered their gazes on the ground.

“Hah!” Shadow scoffed in excitement. Her expression was so clear as she opened her arms. “You did it, brother!” She jumped into his arms.

The ultimate submission. The 'never answering the rhetorical question.'

“Yeah, I did,” Hisoka said gleefully.

Later, Shadow stood right in front of them, delving his hands inside her pockets with Hisoka beside her, also pointedly ignoring the royal family.

“Listen up. As you know, your arrival into this new territory is not for fun. Your existence is to fulfill my wish, and quench my thirst, and mine alone.”

She stopped momentarily and stared at each one of them. Hyena was also already in the group, kneeling amongst them with their heads bent down.
