"Is this a kind of sick joke?"
{Don't disappoint us, Your Excellency. Till we meet again. Play to your heart content. I have prepared tons of fun inside.}
Shadow fell on the floor, her palms propped her body on the clean road. She sobbed internally. The message left by Wan strangely resonated inside her and lingered more than necessary. It made her go crazy.
"HA. HA. HA. HA." The peal of unbelievable laughter echoed in the air. Her eyes glint with madness.
BROOM! BROOM!
Then, a group of motor gangs casually approached her area. A sound of vicious voices from the bikers roared in darkness. The illuminated light nearly blinded her.
She raised her palm to shield her eyes from the light abuse for the second time.
"Hey, dude. What are you doing in the middle of the road? Want to die that badly, yeah?"
Shadow gulped down the uneasiness that didn't settle down. Something was missing in the content.
'I have no context to gather any information.'
Wan loved to give hell to his enemy and this situation was the same. It was just… she was confused. Was she his enemy? Or his best friend's fiancee?
"What is going on? What did Wan do to me?" She questioned everything.
{Lastly, you can do whatever you want. I also have prepared all the labels for you. Do enjoy playing with your toys.}
'Labels? How crazy is he?'
The Labels he was speaking about are the people who are supposed to die in the game.
'Or are they?'
{I save the best for my emperor. And oh yeah. In the novel, they have the privilege to be whatever they want. Some might meet you as a beastmen, some human, or some a demon. They also level up quite a lot. You will find this amusing, trust me.}
What the… she raised her finger to cut off anyone sentence for her to concentrate because Wan seemed to have a lot of surprise for her.
{And their mission is to kill you. Okay. Goodbye. Best regards, Wan, and Malikul.}
What the… "AHA. AHA. AHA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA." She nearly lost her sanity. Her ears were red due to this bullshiting. "Wan. Wan! WAN!!!" Called her deep in full resentment.
The riders dimmed their front light and all of them parked their bike to the side. A certain feeling called fear swamped them even when the individual on the road didn't even spare a glance to them.
The buff-looking men shuffled toward her as they raised their weapons which consisted of steel bats and wooden bats. One of the most useless weapons yet durable to be used against her.
"Aye mate, who are you? Are you the devil?"
Shadow's brain experienced a certain degree of shock which was terrible. It failed to work properly.
Her disoriented eyes blinked rapidly to find a solution to the new problem but the disbelieving laughter resonated to the whole area, possibly to the next neighborhood if they had one.
"HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HAHAHAHAHAHA. WAN! WAN! WAN! THAT MOFO WAN!!! THE AUDACITY… HAHAHAHA." Her laughter sounded more like a ghost now.
"Is he a devil?" One of the bikers wondered. The voice sounded broken and more important like a girl. "Or is a she?"
She clamped her mouth instantly, her head looked up to the sky and her eyes blinked hazily.
"Hey! Who are you?" One of them asked again.
Shadow tilted her head to the side and her glow-in-the-dark orbs penetrated straight inside their brain.
Reading people's minds was one of her specialties.
"Oh," her shaky hands propped her body as she rose. Her body folded into two before slowly rising and stood straight to the body, although her body was wobbling like a mad man.
"Do you want to kill me?" She tilted creepily to the side, acting like a ghost.
"She is a devil, yeah. Att- attack! Now!!!" Even the one who called it was unsure who she was.
She sniffed her palm like a maniac, the glowing eyes dangerously creeping at them. "Ah… delicious. You reek of delicious scent."
"At- attack!!!!!!" The fat men dashed toward him with a panic flashed in their eyes.
Their attacks were organized. They did not blindly swing their bats but strategically took their turn beating her although none of it even touched a strain of her hair.
Amid her disorganized mind, she felt her legs moving before her brain, even before she could even open her mouth or try to make sense of the situation.
She saw one of the bats swinging at her rear side and her senses warned her in the opposite direction as well. Two incoming bats at the same time.
She turned a little to the side as the first bat passed by a few inches away from her back and leaned backward when the second bat slid a few inches away from touching her high nose.
Then, she hopped to the side.
"Aye," she slurred, delving both of her hands inside the pocket of her trousers. "Come and get me."
"Tsk!"
The first bat raised higher to the sky and Shadow's eyes didn't miss a little stumble of the second person who kneeled near her abdomen level literally a few inches from her.
She raised her leg, her body turned diagonal with her upper body bent to the side.
Her leg instinct avoided the bat and was swung to the neck; her upper sole feet caught in between her lower ear and jawline as the sound of crackjaw and blood splutter echoed.
At the same time, she pulled her right hand from the pocket and raised it at the second person on the floor before she flickered his forehead with his might.
The massive man sprawled on his back on the ground, head felt like splitting into and the ears rang with a loud unidentified sound inside his head.
"Two down, 18 to go," she hopped to the ground, literally in front of the two fallen soldiers. Then, her little feet landed, she disappeared in a blink of an eye, again.
"Find her, find her, ugh!" The loud short fat man twirled like a bullet to the ground, unconscious.
"Fuck! Formatio- purft!" Another one spat bile of vomit, his bouncing stomach vibrated violently when the small knuckle made a contact at the speed of 100km/h. He sprawled to his back far from his original place.
But then, the formation was formed. The rest of the survivors were a group like a massive ball, with two enormous men shielding their front.
"Are the weaklings always acting like losers?"
Sometimes, Shadow wonders alone, why humans loved to gather so much? Because it made it easier for her to throw her punch like a fastball.
Woosh~~
The group of certain men guarded each side, clenched hard on the bat. The sweat and the sudden fear haunted them as four of their strong men were down without giving them time to prepare.
What was more shameful was, their opponent was far smaller than them. It was downright tragic.
"Look around, look around, we can take down- huk!" The voice halted his sentence in an emergency when the strong gust of wind suddenly approached him at the highest speed. "She… she is here-"
"Surprise, mofo!" She appeared in a split second right below his nose while pulling her knuckle backward with her whole body and pushed it harder straight to his nose bridge.
His whole body vibrated destructively so much the wave of the punch spread to his back, their head hitting each other forehead, chin, or nose bridge, it created a domino effect.
Almost 12 men were down at the same time.
The punch was too powerful enough to send five people directly to the dreamland at once.
Without giving a break, she sprinted in a second toward the next target and elbowed his neck so much that another crack sound echoed between them.
The body lost its consciousness as soon as that.
She ran toward the duo who flinched when their eyes connected and took a step backward. While running, she bent down and grabbed a handful of sand before she slid down across the grass to them and threw the sand to their eyes.
"Ugh!" The duo flapped and dropped their bats to rub their soil eyes.
Shadow took it to her advantage and jumped higher from the ground, and twirled her whole body as a ballerina twirled in the air with her leg sticking out and threw a strong kick to their head, sending a strong vibration to their brain.
She landed smoothly as the two fell flat on the ground.
"The four of you?" Shadow challenged them with her look, her aura intimidating them.
Looking at the majority of them went down, and nearly all the champion fighters were unable to put up a fight to her, four of them played smart instead. The four of them mostly were their intelligent force.
"How… how about each of us waving our white flag?" One of the slimmest tattoo men marched forward, his air brim with confidence although it didn't last long when he was near her.
He slouched down to minimize his presence from challenging her.
"Are you sure?" Shadow lifted a brow, delved her hands inside her pocket once again.
The man swallowed hard. Her eyes could swallow him as a whole. He rooted his legs at a safe distance instead of getting closer, understood the silent warning of the girl.
"A smart choice," Shadow murmured.
ZUP!
ZUP! ZUP! ZUP!
Four hook knives pierced four different palms to the ground.
"Kugh! Argh!!!" Four of them shriek in pain. Their faces were flushed with red, their tears inevitably rolled down their cheeks.
"And that… is not so smart," Shadow said nonchalantly.
The slim man froze up. What just happened? Everything was so sudden. It was too fast, his eyes couldn't follow.
One second, three of them from his back took one step ahead as his friend from the other side cornered the girl from behind.
But then, four of them collapsed to the ground at the same time, and their palms were imprinted with sharp and deadly hook knives.
'But how? My naked eyes couldn't see any movement from her, so how?'
"So? What are you going to do to compensate me, doormat?"
'This is getting annoying.'For a second time, she opened her eyes at the strangest-looking statue right in front of her eyes - it was a massive half-naked woman next to the bed - but it was strangely comforting knowing that she was completely awake and yet shrouded inside a freaking plaster bag, it was a peaceful morning for her. That was until her brain registered what happened last night."Shit! I can't think straight."She hadn't even moved and yet the entire muffle noise escaped from foreign voices around her. And she felt like a freaking museum.Turning her face to the side to look across the bedroom and at the movement she felt fell deeper in the bed, she saw lots of pairs of eyes hesitantly making eye contact
"Hah~" Shadow wasn't impressed. One could only expect so much from the abandoned mansion."This mansion was built by an extremely wealthy lord. He was a loner of the street and used to reign this small town, regularly donating to the undeveloped street and underprivileged kids. Unfortunately, the lord died one year prior, at the exact date she appeared." Amel explained. She looked around silently."So it's true that place was a cemetery?" She thought of something else.According to Amel, the place she was dumped was a one-man tombstone. The creepy dancing tree on top of her and the creepy statues were probably not real because the man firmly believed there's nothing but a single bench and a grave.
"Near this town, we had werewolf civilians at our east, the dragon descendant at our north, the vampire town at our west, and magicians tower at our south." "And the relationship between…" She remembered the destroyed houses in one part of the town. It was near the magician border. "... huh! Never mind. We are surrounded by a bunch of lunatics." "Yes," Amel said shamefully. The border of magician towers was located at the southern part of the town, and nearly all the part of the town was burned to crisp. And the evidence of the constant fight could be found almost everywhere. Not only the houses were burned, everything around was destroyed. It was clear as the blue sky that the magician wanted to colonize this town and c
"Ah! What a nap."After her quality nap, she was beckoned to the bathroom. Her fingers clutched the hem of the shirt and pulled it off and discarded the dirty piece of cloth on the floor. She then unzipped the borrowed jean - which was bought by Elijah during her comatose state. Pulled down the jeans before she kicked them away."This is life. What a bathroom."Her eyes gazed around the massive majestic bathroom. The room was big, bigger than the Keira room she occupied last night. Above was the warm color of small lamps all over the ceiling.Different from the stone decoration, the bathroom surprisingly had its own authenticity. The old owner probably loved the aesthetic because it was built with durable wood.At her right c
"... slrp, slrp, slrp… nngh… hah… nghh…""Say… who is your owner?""... ngghh.... Mas… ter…""Who? Say it properly, Eli." Shadow pulled a handful of her hand to the back, detached the busy wet tongue from her neck. "Properly." She searched the disoriented eyes under the disheveled hair.Currently, Elijah was inappropriately on top of her, straddling her laps, long maid dress had gone past her bare thigh, unbuttoned shirt, exposed chest, swollen wet lips, hot cheeks, arms around her shoulder and neck.Shadow herself who was in a robe was now half-naked."I won't let you have me
"What do I have to do, My Lord?"Elijah changed her attitude as soon as the door was closed from the outside, her eyes shone impatiently under the light of the sun which penetrated through the massive window behind Shadow.Shadow beckoned her with her finger before pushing her seat away from the desk, giving space between her and the desk.Making a grateful noise under her throat, the refined lady padded toward her and plopped her bottom on Shadow's lap, and embraced her neck.Shadow's fingers curled around her waist, as well."What should I do for you, My Lord?" She nuzzled Shadow's cheek with her nose."Administering this mansion for me. Soon, things will become so chaotic. I ne
The soldiers were wearing their clean uniforms, standing straight in the middle of the training ground. Their clear face with no dirt on it irritated Shadow for the first time.At a glance, the field they were in looked relatively new, the podium she was onto seemed sturdy and clean. They had the uniform on - camouflage trousers and jackets, a massive helmet wrapped on their heads, and some stuffed pockets which were basically full of deadly weapons around the body.Lastly, the black shiny boots. With a rifle in their hands. It seemed like they were ready to engage in battle.Although it wasn’t enough to guarantee a good result. With their standing posture alone Shadow could tell something was wrong.
“I will heed to your order, My Lord.” Amel saluted her military style. It was so sudden, Shadow had no time to question him.“I wish to locate him later by tomorrow morning.” This time it was Conan’s responsibility.“Yes, My Lord. Some of my trusted people had already sniffed his trace near the werewolf border, My Lord. We will give a further report tomorrow.”Shadow stepped outside the hall, walked towards the soldiers that were still standing under the hot sun. “I want to know their legitimate location. Ask Amel’s people to speed things up.”
